Exceptional Hospitality at La Casa Sul Mare - A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Civitavecchia
Our two-night stay at La Casa Sul Mare was one of the highlights of our Italy trip. From the moment we arrived, the owner Loris made us feel like family rather than guests.
Before we even checked in, Loris arranged our airport shuttle service and later coordinated our transportation to the cruise port, taking all the stress out of travel logistics. He also made restaurant reservations for us around town and shared countless local recommendations, insider tips, and helpful advice that only a true local could provide. His knowledge of the area and willingness to help made our stay so much more enjoyable.
Upon arrival, Loris and Ambra our hostess, personally toured us through the property, including the beautiful kitchen and breakfast area, before showing us to our room. Waiting for us was a thoughtful welcome gift of a small bottle of champagne and snacks. The refrigerator was also well stocked, adding another layer of comfort and convenience to our stay.
We stayed in the largest of the five rooms, which featured a private balcony with a partial ocean view overlooking the Ferris wheel, a spacious private bathroom with a double vanity, and daily housekeeping service. In the evenings, the Ferris wheel lights created a beautiful backdrop from our balcony.
A special shoutout goes to Ambra, our wonderful hostess, who prepared breakfast every morning with such care and attention to detail. The continental breakfast spread was beautifully presented and offered a wonderful variety of pastries, fruit, yogurt, eggs, coffee, and more.
And then there was the homemade pistachio pie made by Loris's mother. Absolutely incredible. If I'm being honest, that pie alone is enough reason for me to return! It was one of the most memorable treats we had during our stay and truly showcased the warmth and hospitality of this family-run bed and breakfast.
What really sets La Casa Sul Mare apart is the personal touch. Loris lives right next door and is available if you need anything, yet he gives guests complete privacy. His genuine kindness, attentiveness, and dedication to ensuring every guest has a wonderful experience are evident in everything he does.
The location couldn't be better--right in the heart of Civitavecchia, close to restaurants, the waterfront, shopping, and the cruise port.
If you're looking for a bed and breakfast that combines comfort, convenience, authentic Italian hospitality, and hosts who truly care about their guests, La Casa Sul Mare is the place to stay.
Thank you, Loris, Ambra, and family, for making our stay so memorable. We arrived as guests and left feeling like friends. We can't wait to return! read more
