Found this spot on Trip Advisor and would like to share it with my fellow Yelpers. We were looking for our hotel which was walking distance from the train station but had a hard time finding it due to lack of street signs. Don't try finding this place at night unless you know where you're going. My boyfriend and I walked around for quite a bit with no luck so we walked back to the train station and were able to get a cab to take us there. Again, it's hard to find at night so cab it instead. Our room was cozy and we were able to sleep well. There was no blow dryer, so make sure to bring your own and an adapter. Unfortunately, I blew out my hair straightener which left me without one for about 3 weeks while traveling throughout Europe (but that's a different story) ha! Just make sure your straightener has dual voltage and you'll be fine. Make sure to have Euros. When we paid, the preferred method of payment was in cash. The owner Rosanna was very sweet and asked how our stay was. Very hospitable. She even offered us something to eat before we headed out. We had to leave to catch our ship, but thanked her for her hospitality.

The view from the room we stayed in was beautiful right on the outer wall of Orvieto. If arriving by train don't feel the need to get a rental car. You can for sure get by without a car in this town. The finicular is in the same parking lot as the train station. When you do get a car, if staying in Orvieto, Sabrina offers free parking. Wish we stayed during the Umbria Jazz fest but all in all Orvieto was a terrific, laid back, safe town to be immersed in excellent food, awesome views and an easy visit. Ripa Medici is a great Bed and breakfast to stay at. One note about the beds...my husband is 6 feet and he was a bit tall for the bed. As for me, I wished I brought my own pillow. We shall return one day for sure I hope.

Loris the owner and Ambra the hostess are both amazing. So personable, friendly and helpful. Loris communicated through the app prior to arrival and arranged a car from the airport as well as transportation to the cruise port. They also gave us great restaurant recommendations and local attractions to see. Our room and private bath were spotless. Our room had a lovely balcony with sea view. We ate breakfast on the balcony! There is a nice common room with coffee, tea, filtered water and snacks. Walking distance to many great cafes and restaurants. I cant recommend this enough, and we would stay again. We found our stay close to our cruise port but yet better we used a private car to get there bc of all our luggage. This place assisted us in getting a driver prior. Loris was very accommodating. In fact when you book prior and need assistance to get to their bed & breakfast place they will communicate promptly via online through Expedia site. Although it took a while to find our driver at the airport she got us safely to this B & B in record time. There were places to eat nearby even a McDonalds too! We walked a bit around but not too far. Jet lagged unfortunately! Our suite consisted of the double bed, balcony, small private en-suite bathroom, closet space, safe & stands for our luggage. We were provided with water & coffee. They also had fruit, croissants & yogurt for breakfast. If you take a soda from their fridge it does cost you though. So be sure to pay Loris in euros. Our checkout time was pretty early like at 1030 we hung around bc it was too early to check in at the cruise ship. They held our luggage until we came back around 1230 so we could be taxied over to our ship. That port is very commercialized & not too safe for people walking around. Best to be shuttled as we couldn't even see our ship from the bed & breakfast place where we could get some awesome views.

Stefano was an…read moreexceptional host, going way beyond the call of duty to spend a lot of time with us to help organize our sightseeing in Rome. We were treated like long lost family. The accommodations were impeccably clean and Nedaesha went out of her way anticipating our needs before we knew what they were. We appreciated the cholov yisroel breakfasts which kept us going til dinner and the plentiful shabos meals. Several kosher restaurants are nearby. The location was convenient, half a block from the bus stop which took us to Piazza Venezia (where all our touring started each day) in just 20 minutes. If we return to Rome, we would definitely stay at My Guest Roma again.

We had a large junior suite. This junior suite accommodated, five adults. Johnny provided a map of the area with shopping, food, train and port. Our stay was only for two nights. This hotel is walkable to the shopping, food and port. The room has a small sink and refrigerator. Johnny was my translator. He was extremely helpful. The price is very modest.
