It has a cozy patio garden which provides a very to welcoming atmosphere for you to relax. First of all, it took a long time after we sat down before a staff came over to take our order. I do not blame them though because they were extremely busy. It was a fully restaurant but only 2 staff taking order, greeting customers and cleaning up after customers left. The food also took a long time to get to our table. We were worried a bit because we had a strict time to reach the Nasird Palaces and it was cutting close. The dishes tasted good but they were slightly warm, not cold but not hot either. For these type of dishes I would have expected them to be hot instead. Overall I think this is an alright place to eat. On the other hand though, your options are really limited anyways so maybe this place isn't so bad.

The waiters were friendly and soft, pleasant music played in the background. Our food came relatively quickly, given the fact that the restaurant was full. In conclusion, Hotel America is a quaint eatery under a canopy of leaves that would leave any tired tourist satisfied.

We were meters away from the entrance, and our three star hotel was as good as many higher rated ones. There was no bar or restaurant on site, though there is breakfast on the first floor. We were able to walk to a nearby hotel to have drinks and tapas. Beautiful clean and safe room with easy access to The Alhambra. Busses run just across the street every ten minutes to take you to city center and some other sites. Parking is nearby at E30 per day. This hotel was a great value for our two night stay.

The hotel has a bar and restaurant with good offerings, but there are other places very closeby and walkable. About 100 meters down the road there is a bus stop for the c3 line that can take you into the city for only €1.40. Also, just about 30 meters down the road, there are some steps that take you through olive groves up the hill to a little patio overlooking the city below, a breathtaking view at any time of day. It's been 37 years since the Guadix train station was featured in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last…read moreCrusade (filmed in 1988 between May and September), but it looks largely identical to its appearance in the movie. The station is operational with a parking lot in front. In my video showing a 360-degree view around the parking lot, you can see the station, the Gorafe Desert, the cave homes of Guadix, and Sierra Nevada's snow-capped peaks. It is just incredible to see so many wonders from a common train station parking lot. But it's no wonder Spielberg's location scout chose such a spot for the famous adventure movie. This is definitely a worthwhile stop for movie lovers, but also to just take in the fabulous panorama.
