    a bottle. Yum

I need this wine bar in my life. Omg. We literally stumbled upon this place shortly after opening time while cruising the Born. All of the wines by the glass can be tasted in flights or just by the glass. We got deep into the list by having a red and white pairing and by trying 2 of the cavas. We learned of the flights after ordering the cavas. Needless to say we drank a good amount. Our sever Marie was so knowledgeable about the Spanish grapes and growing regions. As a Dutch ex pat she was so interesting to talk to and with. Not only did we talk about wine but also urban planning and social issues in our hike countries. One doesn't always get that with wine. The menu is extremely creative and also set up to be eaten as bites or shares and are paired with the wines. Be sure to try the foie gras and the short ribs. Everything on the menu sounded so delicious. If we didn't have a dinner reservation we would have eaten a lot more. The space is so lovely, modern, well lit and inviting. Any of the bottles on their wine list can be purchased as a discount, so of course we did. Highly recommend.

One of our best meals in Barcelona. A true gem with a thoughtful menu pairing their delicious plates with the area's wines.

Located in the La Ribera neighborhood, Tapeo was a Yelp find. Smaller and cozy with a few Bar…read moreseats and some high top tables. Also, a small area for bigger groups in the back. We grabbed the only table open when we arrived at 1 on a Monday afternoon. We saw a Cava Sangria (a first) and had to try-light and delicious! They also had Majou Beer (from Malaga) on draft which is hard to find outside of Malaga so had to have one. We ordered a couple of starters and a couple of what I'd say were bigger plates. The pork belly marinated in lime was tasty but the fresh Mackerel stole the show! The Truffled eggs with foie and mushrooms was finished table-side and was amazing. We missed that the Cuttlefish had squid ink-no matter, so light and exquisite-only complaint would be to have more cuttlefish. Service was engaged and friendly from start to finish. Tapeo reminds me of some of the regional restaurants where you want to try the entire menu at once cause it all looks so good. Tapeo is now on the list of "must stops" when in Barcelona!
