We went twice to this small restaurant for lunch on our most recent visit to Paris. We were looking for a natural wine focused lunch and this was a perfect choice. We discussed wanting a natural wine from the Cote de Beaune section of Burgundy and they came up with a amazing wine from Auxey Duresses. This brings up the point of my review. I really enjoy discovering a small vigneron from an area I have personally visited to compliment my meal. These wines are made in such small quantity that they are unobtainable other than the several places in Paris that specialize in natural wine. The room itself is small and unpretentious, with a wood burning stove in the corner. The owner/cook is present in all activities and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The food is cooked with the requisite fresh and natural ingredients you would associate with someone focused on natural wine. So you have a small scale version of Le Verre Vole before it became so popular. A wine shop that has morphed into a place for a nice meal too! Since it is in the 11e it is just down the street from Aux Deux Amis and Pierre Sang. If you have a chance stick your head in each of these places and see how the food world is evolving in the 11e of Paris. There is much to see just beyond the Marais. read more

Pros: Great ambiance great staff and guests. I love the concept of community tables. Cons: The porc tenderloin wasn't 100% tenderloin so I left half of my plate uneaten. Their food wasn't any special or very tasteful. If the food would have been great I wouldn't mind to pay the price but like this - it was barely acceptable. read more

I had dinner at this bistro/ wine bar when I was staying at Hotel Fabric across the street. This place was recommended to me by the hotel staff after I asked for dinner recommendations. Don't be fooled by the menu vegetarians. Everything if not most things listed have meat in them but if you ask the chef will gladly prepare a wonderful vegetarian dinner meal. My meal had some amazingly seasoned potato hash, salad and soup. I eat eggs as well so the eggs that were also featured were probably the best/ freshest eggs I'd ever eaten. Even though the meal seemed simple everything was perfectly seasoned and tasted wonderfully. I was full and quite satisfied. I was not disappointed at all. Of course this meal accompanied with the great wine selection made for a memorable evening! read more

La Cave was located by the hotel we were staying at in Paris, so my husband and I popped in one night for after-dinner drinks. This is a great spot for wine or late night drinks, and it looked like a fun place for dinner with a group. There is a small area with wine by the bottle that you can peruse and purchase. We sat at a long community table and enjoyed our drinks at a leisurely pace. Not going to lie, the bathroom is what really makes this place. I don't want to give too much away, but it's hilarious and unexpected and totally random and a must see. I'd definitely return for drinks or a bite next time I visit Paris! read more

Great great great food, menu changes daily, great tapas style apps and the Veal with Ratatouille was succulent. With a great pair of wine from their cellar definitely recommend this place especially if you staying at the Hotel Fabric right across the street. read more

We ended up leaving the place dissapointed, even if the atmosphere was great on a Friday evening. We ordered two glasses of wine that were completely sour. We didn't bother to complain, we simply just expect something better from a wibe bar. It might be just fine if you order an entire bottle, and the carte also looks interesting. However, we didn't care to try when the waiter didn't care to make sure our wine was nice. read more

We are staying at the Hotel Fabric and this was recommended for Easter dinner. Rustic French cuisine done really well. Casual dining but fantastic flavors. All Organic wine list that the waitstaff toured me through and great recommendations. Recognized one of the patrons as the shop owner who we bought some jewelry from earlier in the day. Enough said. Oh, and don't pass up a trip to the bathroom. Well done and would highly recommend. read more
