I ordered the crispy shredded beef with cheese arepa with the cilantro sauce and the chilled chicken avocado snack with chips. The shredded beef was very tender and flavorful, I tried it w/out and with the cilantro sauce, both bites were great; the price is not half bad being under six dollars. The chill chicken avocado snack with chips is another great option if you want something light. The mixture was very light and creamy. The chips were ok, they didn't have any seasoning, not sure if I got a bad batch or if they don't season the chips. If anyone goes before I visit again please let me know. I don't necessarily need the chips. The price for the snack is also under six dollars too. Guasaca has three locations in Raleigh (Lake BooneTrail, Spring Forest Rd and Hillsborough St.), I went to the Lake Boone location because that was the location I visited many years ago. This is a place I will be visiting again, I may try another location and I hope to have the same quality of food. Happy Eating!

Stopped by Guasaca for lunch while we were exploring Raleigh and it was so good. When you arrive…read morethere is plenty of parking around the restaurant. Walking in it will feel like a fast paced, casual, and feels very chipotle style when you are ordering. To order you'll place your at the counter and then pay at the end, be handed your food, and then you would proceed to the open seating area. I ordered the Fajita Chicken arepa & the Grilled Steak. Each arepa had a variety of different toppings and was good. The steak was a bit on the well done side and the fajita chicken had a bit of a mustard aftertaste. Both arepas were good but the arepas dough itself was sweet and with the different meats probably just isn't a good combination for me. Next time I stop by I'll likely go for the bowl and a different meats protein to see if I have another flavor combination I like. Definitely check out Guasaca if you are looking for a fast and casual Venezuelan food stop.

No idea!). - Great ambience, bar, table seating, and this adorable courtyard with string lights. Would be a dope first date spot. - food is delish! Small menu but plenty of options for vegetarians too! - drinks are on point. If you love Mezcal, this is your place - so many options and cocktails. If you don't love Mezcal but love tequila - this is still your place! - service is good, the food comes up from downstairs in a little foot elevator in the wall behind the bar

There was so much beauty in this restaurant. I took a seat at the bar as it had a plug and checked out their menu. You have to scan a QR code to access it, and it gives you a list of their drinks and food. Their food menu is not super extensive but has a focus on a few tacos, appetizers, and entrees. I couldn't decide between the guacamole and salsa with chips, but I was told by the waitress to go with the guacamole. It comes with a mix of three flavors of mango, cojita, and pepita (pumpkin seed). The manho was the best of the three. However, the quality was okay--it was a little runny for me, and there was nothing special about it. It was basic guacamole. I also got their chicken taco that was grilled to perfection and had a nice crunch to it as well. It could've used some salsa or creama. Looking back, I should've just gone with just the tacos. Minus a couple of stars for the weird atmosphere vibes and stares. The lady who served me did not seem happy that I was only drinking water despite ordering food. I wasn't drinking alcohol that evening, and I felt that force from the waiter as she asked me again and again about a drink. I think that this is a good place for just their drinks. I think the food is secondary to this and the taste and quality shows.

Loved my sweet plantains too which had a good grill to them. Only things that I wasn't impressed with the yellow rice. Wouldn't recommend that or the red beans. The server was friendly enough. The bartender/ maybe manager was friendly offered us to stick around for music later in the evening. He also explained the menu choices a lot more than the server actually had. Overall everyone was happy with their selections. The papas relleno needed a sauce or flavor. But nicely cooked. My dad got a flank steak that was nicely braised when I tried it.

We started with the empanadas, which were excellent. We had one beef and one chicken. The beef was nicely seasoned and had potato's on the inside as well. For our main entrees we had the bistec de pollo with yellow rice and plantains. We also had the lechón asado with moros and plantains. The moros is the Cuban version of dirty rice and it was very delicious. The plantains were golden, soft and prepared so good. The chicken and pork were tender and good. The servers were really nice as well. Great experience.
