We found this gem! The Arepa bar is a small mom and pops Columbian place, the food is incredible! We have been here a couple of times already and the food has been consistent in flavor. My husband ordered the Bandeja Paisa, and the Caldo de res soup bowl which he says it's really good, i've had the Churrasco every time i come. I just love it. The tostones are a bit on the dry side though.. The people who work here are warm and friendly. The place is small and not a lot of tables, but it's worth the wait.

What an amazing experience at Arepa Bar! My wife and I had dinner here last night, and we were blown away! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service made us feel like we were guests in someone's home--so intimate and thoughtful. The food came out in a reasonable time, and the restaurant was spotless. Cleanliness really stood out! We ordered the Picada Arepa Bar platter, and wow! It had everything: tender churrasco steak, juicy grilled chicken, crispy fried pork, flavorful Colombian sausage, tostones, cheese arepa, two empanadas of our choice, fries, and a side of guacamole! Every bite was a new layer of flavor. Totally worth every penny! If you're in Wake Forest, Arepa Bar is a must-visit! You won't regret it!

Arepa was so goooooood! We ordered one and went back for a second one before we left. DELICIOUS! I will definitely be back if I'm back in Raleigh!

    Bandeja Bowl- Amazing!!!

This place was amazing! Clean, bright, warm and welcoming. It felt like we were eating in the owner's kitchen. The ordering was easy and can see them prepare everything from your seats. You can tell a lot of care and love goes into this establishment and it comes out in the food. Everything was fresh and flavorful and on point. They provide a sauce assortment with your order, which again, felt like you were being cared for. My date and I both had the Bandeja Bowl. a It was a delicious South American delight with different meats, flavors and textures. And worth the price. We will be back!

This place was a nice Colombian gem in the Raleigh area. There are build your own options or in house recommendation for arepas or bowls. I ordered mondongo soup, chicken empanada and a build your own arepa with shredded chicken, avocado and mozzarella. I was hoping for more avocado on the arepa not just a tiny slice considering is extra but the food is extremely fresh!

It was our first time here and I want to disclose I am Colombian so my expectations where high for this place. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I did read some of the reviews before and though there was some negative and positive, I still like to give places an opportunity! So started with the veggie arepa, a side order of tostones, side salad, the chicken, pico de gallo with avocado arepa. A build your own arepa for my nephew, which he wanted black beans, beef and grilled onions and my dad had the steak Al Caballo. First they were out to main things that Colombians love to drink. Manzana soda and maracuya to make a natural juice. So we had water! We had a few disappointed people!! The arepas came out one by one! Not sure if they were short on help but letting a customer know what's going on is always helpful. As each arepa came out I noticed that they didn't really take time on presenting the dish correctly. Meaning if the dish is topped with cilantro, bring the dish out the way it should be served. Cilantro on this particular dish was to be on top not on the bottom of all the other ingredients. The next disappointment was the lack of flavor! This is suppose to be a Colombian spot!! Cmon we love flavor! What happened??! Their dips are good but we need to work on the aji! Aji and pico de gallo are 2 different s sauces!! Also I would say for sanitary reasons they should serve them differently to prevent contamination with the many customers that come in. The waitress was nice and place clean. Not sure if I will come back when I can drive a few more minutes and go to the Venezuelan place.

Went in on Christmas eve afternoon for lunch time. The food was delicious! This is more like a fast casual place so anyone walking in you're going to get table service don't expect that. I would definitely come back! They brought our food to the table within minutes even though they were busy. They food, staff and atmosphere was great! They are very nice and fast.

The workers seemed slightly slower than the other location I have been to. No biggie. Finally, when it was my turn to order, the guy motioned to me and said something (I couldn't understand him, but it was obvious he wanted me to place my order) so I started my order and then he mid-sentence of me saying the order, he looked down at the monitor and said "one minute" as an online order came in and he started to proceed to make THAT order as I stood there waiting to finish my order. I am not thinking the world should revolve around me at all, but I have also learned that in customer service the person in front of you should be the priority. So finally, I placed my order and moved on through to the cashier. She had ZERO smile and ZERO eye contact. I pride myself on being a cheerful, polite person who also tries to give a genuine smile. She seemed to be tired and definitely didn't want to be there. I had to WAIT to pay bc she was turned waiting for something. No explanation like, "I'll be able to get your payment in just a second" or anything of the sort. The food was delicious, nonetheless. The lighting at night inside is a little too much on the cool side. We decided to take our order to go. Will we be back? yes, but to the Spring Forest Road location instead. the staff is friendlier and way faster!

There was so much beauty in this restaurant. I took a seat at the bar as it had a plug and checked out their menu. You have to scan a QR code to access it, and it gives you a list of their drinks and food. Their food menu is not super extensive but has a focus on a few tacos, appetizers, and entrees. I couldn't decide between the guacamole and salsa with chips, but I was told by the waitress to go with the guacamole. It comes with a mix of three flavors of mango, cojita, and pepita (pumpkin seed). The manho was the best of the three. However, the quality was okay--it was a little runny for me, and there was nothing special about it. It was basic guacamole. I also got their chicken taco that was grilled to perfection and had a nice crunch to it as well. It could've used some salsa or creama. Looking back, I should've just gone with just the tacos. Minus a couple of stars for the weird atmosphere vibes and stares. The lady who served me did not seem happy that I was only drinking water despite ordering food. I wasn't drinking alcohol that evening, and I felt that force from the waiter as she asked me again and again about a drink. I think that this is a good place for just their drinks. I think the food is secondary to this and the taste and quality shows.
