You know the stuff: lots of pink, lots of cute. None of it especially well made, but all of it priced accordingly. The space isn't very big, but it's got a lot and is visually appealing. The store clerk spoke only a little English, and unfortunately the credit card reader wasn't working, so I did end up having to fiddle with cash and currency conversions when checking out my daughter's purchase.

Guayaberas are shirts which can be warn in warm weather climates by men and always be dressed appropriately. They are classy and always very refined. Most people tend to get cotton ones but the real deal are the linen guayaberas. After asking several guys at the hotel they suggested I walk to the downtown area where I would have better luck. After an exhaustive search I finally came across this place and not only bought one but I bought two. I also bought a beautiful hand stitched Mexican dress for my girlfriend. We were so pleased, being able to buy the one of a kind pieces we found. If in Cabo and you want a beautiful Guayabera this is the place to go to.

I bought 2 pairs of high quality and comfortable 100% ostrich leather cowboy boots for $57 per pair. Comparable shoes at Boot Barn in the USA would cost over $300. Copy down the address on a piece of paper, hand it to the taxi driver. Helps if you speak Spanish as no one in the shop when I was there spoke English. American dollars and all major credit cards accepted.

Yay for vacation!…read moreBoo, back to work tomorrow. *sad face* Of course, upon returning to Cabo, Brandon and I sought out our amigo from the last visit, Luis', restaurant Mariscos la Palmita on calle Septiembre -- see my other review on this fantastic find on our freshman journey. Luis remembered us immediately (well, we did share a fishing charter on which we all barfed, so yeah...bonded for life) and he took awesome care of us. After another stunning meal with Luis, we adventured on down calle Septiembre and this open air clothing store "Melody" caught my eye. The best U.S. comparison I can make is Forever 21, Discovery or Styles for Less (that's for my Cali girls). Cute, cheap, stylish. Sh*t that can take a dump in 10 months and you're not angry about it. The boyfriend indulged my interest and started converting pesos/dollars for me. And upon realizing that nothing in the store was much more than $10 US I yanked the credit card out of his hands and went bonkers. I'm not kidding, girls...I bagged three shirts, all work appropriate, an adorable, shockingly well-made sundress and a pair of super cute boho beach shorts for $50 US. Even the boyfriend was impressed with my shopping prowess. (I was impressed with his the day earlier when he got me a TAG Heuer *wink*) Needless to say I was subsequently grounded from any more shopping, ha ha! Find Melody! The chain is all over Mexico and worth seeking out!
