I have been to countless Walmart's around the country and out of ALL of the one I have ever been to, this one in Cabo is the best in so many ways! This location, which anchors The Plaza Cabo San Lucas, is your standard Walmart from the outside, but inside it is a different world that I was not expecting! The store is well laid out, clean, stocked, features all the specialty counters we need plus cafes with seating on both ends of the store...and they even had a gelato spot up front! I know this is a fairly new location, so it being in good condition was expected, but they do a great job at keeping this location up cleanliness and condition wise. Service was solid. When we needed help on the floor, someone was able to assist. Cashier was friendly and helpful...even given the slight language barrier. We used to go to Walmart to get a few items for breakfast, coffee, half & half (they do not seem to know what that is). Unfortunately we had to search forever to find someone that spoke ENGLISH. We asked for Keurig K cups(they looked at you with the deer in the headlight look) and they only had regular coffee. The Cabo Coffee brand in Dark is fantastic if you have filters & regular pot. We bring a Keurig coffee maker so we now bring our own cups. As far a having things in order, I do not see that. The bakery dept. has dried out (sitting out uncovered for the flies), supposedly, pastries with zero taste. If you can find the cheese danish in a package that is very good. I personally do not like the way the store is laid out. We just go to the resort store and buy breakfast items rather than the dried out supposed pastries or bakery. Tasteless! Mexicans do not put very many sweeteners in their food. Also, I wanted Sugar Free Yogurt. I finally found the word "Sin Azur" is sugar free. Their yogurt is plain & could not find sugar free. The staff cannot speak enough English to help you while your cab is outside waiting. The crackers are tasteless. I do not understand their brands. Throw a box of crackers in your suitcase before you come. Best Idea! We have not used Walmart in 7 years. Too stressful when they cannot speak English to help you find things. Also, the extra fee to stop can be spent at the resort grocery store for a coffee, cream & some pastries. We eat out ! read more

Today me and my family went to Walmart to get some groceries. We ended up getting everything we needed (except for a book) which is awesome. They had a big variety in the foods they had. We got almost everything we needed so we ended up coming out very satisfied. The service was awesome. The lady that helped us was very polite. Almost everything we got would not scan so she had to come and put her badge number in a gazillion times. We ended up feeling very bad when we left for her. My mom wanted a book but it would not sell it to her. Overall we felt very accomplished. read more

Dec2022: 2: I was visiting this area as a result of an extremely delayed flight at the local airport. I was NOT impressed with this Walmart store nor workers I had to interact with while in the store. The individual at the door wanted to charge my kids for face masks. There was no sign posted that one was needed but the door attendant was a bit over the top in the zeal he placed in denying entry to my kids. We had masks for the kids, the damn kids just don't want to wear them. Where is the hand sanitizer or wipes for the baskets? You put masks for sale at the door but don't wipe down the shopping carts when the germ magnet kids sneeze, cough, and rub their nose juice on the cart handle. There were parking spaces on the lower level of the building. This store seems to be stuck in a corner lot. I noted three cashiers were open with at least (7) customers each. The self service checkout lines were at least (13) customers deep as well. There were aisles blocked with people stocking the shelves in the store. I stopped by the pharmacy to ask about some specific medication and the worker was dismissive of my questions and I felt that his conversation with the girls he was flirting with was more important than helping me. It seems that outsiders were not welcomed here and we certainly began to feel that way. There were other options in the immediate area and I wouldn't pause to recommend them before this store location. read more

It's always great to find items from home in another country and Walmart is always there to the rescue. We were so excited to learn that Walmart was a 7min bus ride ($1 bus) from our resort and had all the items we needed while on vacation. Walmart (Wally World) is just like any other Walmart, plenty of weirdos lurking and lots of long lines with 22 registers and only 4 open (head in hand). The cool feature that this Walmart had over the ones back home in the US is the car shades in every parking space which is super cool. The shades block cars once parked from the extreme heat. This Walmart also has a ton of soliciting for TimeShare presentations which is cool as you can give them 90 mins of time and get FREE jet skis for 3, glass bottom boat ride, swim with dolphins and more LoL. It's whatever you can negotiate The prices at this Walmart were better than the ones back home as well. I got some awesome stuff for great prices . read more

As tourists, it was easy access with taxi and easy to find a taxi home, there is a reserved spot for taxis in the parking lot. Great place to buy supplies such as seim gear, sunscreen, alcohol, snacks, fruit, drinks, water. They even have a deli inside, and small food kiosks. read more

Very nice Walmart, within walking distance of the Villa Group properties where we were staying. This location was very clean and detailed. More so than the Walmarts back home in the states. You can tell their employees care about their work. We were met by a person named Edgar, who helped us locate items in the store. He was very friendly, and said he worked for Walmart, but didn't have a name tag. It was a little strange and not sure if he was truly working for them, but a very friendly local. Beware Walmart will give out your name and address to strangers via phone!! Ordered grocery delivery. It was delivered to wrong address and I hot someone else's delivery. That person called Walmart to ask about their missing groceries. Other party asked Walmart to have delivery person ho go get their order Walmart said they weren't allowed to do that. The person asked for info on where their order could've been delivered. Walmart gave out my name and address to complete strangers! I would never give my permission for that. Nice to see a Super Walmart here for everything you need. Found some good quality Danish butter, plenty of bottled water, Chobani yogurt, etc. Also some cheap T shirts and hot wheels cars for the kids to occupy themselves with in the hotel room. Produce quality isn't the best here, just like in US. And I'd be careful of the packaged chocolates, a lot of them melted and then re-solidified. They're also a fresh bakery section with plenty of items. Plenty of parking and there's a local food court in the adjacent shopping center, although we didn't try it. Beware the timeshare/tour hawkers on the corner stand right before the exit doors. They can be aggressive - I appreciate the hard work, but the deals aren't that great. read more

We are staying in Cabo for 2 weeks as a family of 3 at a resort with a partial kitchen. Our first full day we come by to do our shopping for the week. We took a cab but there is plenty of parking. We came on Christmas Eve so it was understandably busy. We had a lot and were able to find nearly everything. We got food for a week of breakfasts, daily snacks, a week of lunches, 3 1/5ths of tequila, 2 cases of beer plus lots of food for our daughter. Our total was about $220 which I think is very affordable for what we got. The line took about 15 minutes. There are people who work for tips that will load your car. Our cab offered to wait which was great. We got in and out in about 45 minutes and were pretty organized. I'd come again. read more

There's an employee who refused to give me a refund on a hair straightener I bought literally 3 days ago and said I could exchange for something similar since it's used. I told her I can't do that since they're all going to be within the same heating temperature and they don't heat enough so why would I take a product I'll still be unsatisfied with? Girl acted like Walmart belonged to her so my husband had to get the manager to get us our refund. The refund policy states it's the same worldwide, and I had my receipt. I went to this Walmart to buy something and decided to get a smart watch. The watches are behind a glass cabinet so you can only read the front of the product. I searched around for someone in the electronics section and no one could be found. After ten minutes of waiting I had to hunt down an associate and eventually found someone to open the cabinet. I wanted to review the specs of a few different models so I took about 1 minute to compare three watches. The lady helping me seemed very irritated that and rushing so I chose one in haste, but wasnt 100% sure. She said it would be up front to pay. I told her I might want to buy another one but needed a bit more time to decide. She then left. I spoke to my girlfriend and we decided to get a watch with slightly more features. Again no one could be found and the electronics service area (cashier) was empty. We waited for another 10 minutes and started again looking for associates to help. No one had the keys so they said she would call someone to help. We asked several walmart associates and all said someone would help. Meanwhile we have been waiting and searching for someone to open the case about 15 minutes now. We walked around and came back 10 minutes later and no one was there still. It was clear there were many people that needed help but no one to help. So we went to the customer service area on opposite side of store and explained we needed help and they said they would call the girl to help and go back to "Electronics". So I walked back, and the same girl was there. I tried to thank and apologize for switching watches and she rudely cut me off, and rudely asked me what watch I want in haste. I told her which one and she in a very disrespectful manner told me to go to the front and abruptly left. I was taken aback by the lack of professionalism and zero customer service skills. I then went to the cashier area to buy my other merchandise and a different person was there, who was unrelated to this watch purchase. He was very rude, did not say hello or anything when I said "Buenas Noches" and after I paid and thanked him, he ignored me and made zero eye contact. Again, total lack of respect, lack of customer service skills and a nasty attitude! I was very nice to both of these people, and both nasty and clearly didnt want to help people. For me this shows a problem with management who doesnt teach these people how to treat customers and who also doesnt properly staff the electronics section. Mayne these folks are stressed and overworked, but with those nasty attitudes they should not be customer facing, representing a business. I will think twice about giving my hard earned money to this business going forward. I left the store pissed off and irritated how terrible these peoples' attitudes were. For management: You need to reprimand these two clerks, and you need to staff the electronics section with a "Cashier" because you are losing a lot of business. It is very clear there is lack of smart management decisions and employee training on how to be "NICE", to every customer! read more

They have a taco shop inside along woth fried chicken and dinners avail. Pretty cool. They give you pesos back after you pay in dollars. Current conversion rate is 18.45 pesos/$1 USD. They give you 18/1 so they take a lil off top. In a shopping plaza that has plenty of other stores. About 1-2 miles from downtown cabo. Looks like your typical Walmart, with some Mexican products. It's big and very clean. A little cluttered but nothing too bad. You can exchange money here for a good rate, just remember to bring your passport, they won't take drivers license. Most reviews seem to be comparing prices with the U.S. or whatever (resort) hotel they are staying at - rather than with other stores in Cabo San Lucas. I'm not a fan of Walmart (for many reasons) - and I can also usually find both cheaper and better things at some other store (not too far away). I thought the prices here (and most of the other stores in Plaza San Lucas) were slightly higher than other places I have seen/shopped. This location seems to cater most to Americans and Mexicans working at nearby hotels who pick up a few things on the way home. Unlike Walmarts in the U.S., the one here does not provide bags - and even finding clear plastic ones in the produce section is challenging. Walmart had far better produce than Mega, at least when i visited. The avocados were perfect, the cilantro was nice and green, and there were a ton of different peppers, onions, and other Mexican-native produce to choose from. NOT very convenient that they don't have NyQuil when you get sick :( However, snacks, alcohol, and souvenirs can all be purchased here. I purchased some pills for a cold I had developed... only to get all the way back to the hotel and realize there were no pills inside the package. Huge selection and great prices on produce. They also have a wonderful bakery with fresh breads cookies donuts and pastries. They make tortillas on site at the bakery continuously and they are about 75 cents fir two lbs, hit out of the oven. If you forget anything at home or don't want to carry all those toiletries this is also a great place to buy these as they have lots of variety and all the popular brands.
