Although they've expanded across Canada, they still make all their chocolates in Vancouver. They use 100% sustainable cocoa. This location is in Carlingwood Mall and is similar to other locations inside malls in layout and size. They have a chocolate fountain and the sell ice cream as well. Before the Covid-19 Pandemic (which we are still in at the time of the writing of the review) this location would hold chocolate making classes. I never took them, but they sound like fun. Purdys is famous for their hazelnut cream chocolates that are shaped like hedgehogs. The chocolates are a bit pricey (a box of 18 goes for $22, and a box of 25 goes for $32) but they taste delicious. They have some cool flavours like "Goat Cheese & Chardonnay," Chai Tea Caramel, and Chili Pepper. They also have more traditional flavours like strawberry cream and mint. I'm a fan :)

I think they have an affiliation with Bergham (formerly called Centrale Bergham) because these two businesses seem to be co-located, not just at this location, but from what I see, at their other locations (in Montreal) as well (this one on Bank Street is the only Ottawa location). Anyway, the lokma are are deep fried balls of dough. They fry them when you order them, so they are super fresh. You can choose a variety of sauces and toppings. We got a small order (12 pieces) for $6.99. With the small order, you can choose up to two flavours. We got the Belgian milk chocolate and the strawberry syrup. Since some of the lokma were a bit smaller than the others, we got some extra pieces. Whoo hoo! Lol. The lokma were tasty. Slightly crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I found the chocolate topping to be a bit too sweet. I liked the strawberry syrup a lot more. It was less sweet. I have had the loukoumades at Mr. Puffs on Greber Blvd in Gatineau, and I personally liked those better (crispier on the outside, chewier on the inside, and the flavours were better (apple cinnamon was so delicious, and the had blueberry too, 2 flavours that Lokma didn't have)). However, Mr. Puffs is across the river in Gatineau, a place a rarely go to, so Lokma is more convenient for me. Service was efficient. Like I mentioned earlier, Lokma is co-located with Bergham. Their ordering counters are side by side and they share a common seating area. Both businesses are in a tiny plaza, along with a Tim Hortons. There is free parking in the plaza.

And this new location on Beech St in Little Italy offers the same quality I've come to expect. I love that they mill their own flour the old fashioned way with stones, as opposed to commercial rollers. They do not bleach their flour. And the grains they use are organic. All their items have a rustic taste to them, which I enjoy. I pretty much tried all of their items at their location in Gloucester, but at their new Little Italy location I've recently tried their croissant, blueberry lemon spelt muffin, and sourdough pizza focaccia. All fantastic. I love the tang of all their sourdough products. My only complaint would be the focaccia I had was topped with tomato sauce, cheese, olives, capers and zucchini and I found it too salty for my liking. They also do not shy away from butter and oils so the focaccia was also a bit too greasy for my tastes. However, I still enjoyed the focaccia, lol. I'm not quite sure when they opened the location in Little Italy but I discovered it in January of 2026. I think it opened at the end of 2025. The Little Italy location is more a storefront and cafe, whereas the Gloucester location is more where they bake the items and is a pickup location for online pre-orders. Although I have purchased items in the store at the Gloucester location, but this was before they opened their second location. I heard their cones can be sweet depending what you get, so I originally wanted to get a kiddie size, but they don't "kookie cone" that size, so I went with the small. The small is more like a large. It is shareable, if you like sharing your ice cream cone. I'm not a good sharer, but by the end of this cone, I was trying to pond it off to my husband. It was just too much. I got the chocolate hazelnut. He got the cotton candy. Both were good. This location is in a strip mall. They have a patio in the back where you can enjoy your ice cream. I personally like walking or going to a park to eat mine, so we drove up the closest place of greenery, which was in front of a hydro Ottawa building and ate our ice cream there. If this place was in a more convenient location, i'd probably go back, but for me it wasn't worth the hype or the drive. It's more of a once a year, type of treat.

But, when I got hit on the hand by the metal pole of their flying patio umbrella (not bolted down or affixed to their patio table), I was dismissed ('there's nothing wrong with your hand') & told to just google their information because they don't have a business card, there's no manager or person in charge on the premises yet there were 3 women from the café who avoided my request for contact information. They did offer ice in a bag BUT only after much insisting that I'd like to speak to someone in charge of the café. Again, I was dismissed and told that there's no responsibility to be had because it was an accident and that I should leave the premises because I was causing a scene since I ended up crying because my hand was hurting. The security camera of the Byward Market building across the street caught the whole hit incident (June 16).

They even have a functional mini Ms. PacMan arcade machine on the wall that you can play. On my visit, I met Letasha herself who was very friendly and welcoming. I have tried the Salted Caramel Toffee Craze Cake in a Jar ($14.50) which was delicious, but very rich and decadent. The buttercream frosting was thick and buttery. And the cake was sweet and chocolatey. There's sweet and gooey caramel and sweet and crunchy pralines in too. This is not something I can eat in one sitting, lol. I ate like a spoonful a day for about a week before I finished the jar, haha. I've also tried the Buffalo Chicken Dip ($8 for a mini) which is chunks of chicken, buffalo sauce and cream cheese and is topped with shredded cheddar and chopped raw onions. Delicious with tortilla chips or as a sandwich spread, but really rich, overly so in my opinion. Their grilled cheese sandwiches ($14.16) look delicious, but they are made with sesame seed crusted sourdough, so only my husband was able to enjoy one. He had their Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese. It had jalapeno, caramelized onions, bacon, cheddar cheese, cream cheese and butter. He thought it was great. My mom often teases me that food that I make "tastes like diet food" and "not enough sugar or enough fat." Let's just say that no one would ever accuse Letasha's Goodies of these things, haha. Cassis had gelato and sorbet, so even better! I got a mini size on a regular cone ($5.35) and got the marshmallow flavour. My husband got the small in a cup (I don't remember the exact price but it was around $7.50). For the small you get 2 flavours and he got the mango and orange sorbets. My marshmallow gelato was delicious! So marshmallowey, lol. I could eat an entire tub, haha. I had a taste of my husband's sorbets and they were also good. My husband got a decaf coffee ($3.99) and a Chocolate Swiss roll slice ($5.19). I got something called a Persian Creamy Puff Pastry ($2.29). My pastry was 2 tiny puff pastry discs with cream piped in the centre. It had a single pomegranate aril placed on the cream with a sprinkling of pistachio dust around the aril. It was very pretty. The puff pastry was soft and not as flaky as I anticipated but it was still good. The cream was light and airy and the entire pastry wasn't too sweet, which I appreciated. It was about the size of a French macaron. I had a taste of my husband's Chocolate Swiss roll slice and it also wasn't too sweet. The cake was soft and fluffy and the cream was light and airy. It was tasty, but I found it on the small side, especially for the price. Good for portion control, I guess, lol. My husband enjoyed his coffee. The bakery/cafe is very cute and cozy inside.
