I am always partial to a place that does a mini scoop and even more partial to a place that gives you a tiny little baby cup that fits the scoop perfectly. We got the dark chocolate ice cream, the raspberry and vanilla soft serve which was a limited edition, and a vanilla soft serve dipped in chocolate. My only complaint is that the chocolate on the vanilla cone was very thick and did not harden, meaning it kind of just squished when you bit into it. While walking through the resort town, found this really cute ice cream shop in the village. Since it's summer, this is a great stop. Line was very long, but it was worth the wait. Decent selection of Gelatos and sorbets, and they also have waffles, sundaes, shakes, etc. I ended up getting a large raspberry and vanilla swirl soft serve on a cone. Delicious. Hubby had their coffee Gelato which was also delicious. Such a nice treat on a hot summer's day. Took off a star because indoor seating inside was very limited and the line can be quite long, forcing one to stand and wait out in the sun. But the cold sweet treats sold here are awesome! read more

Our favourite chocolate chaud restaurant in Mont tremblant. They do it up right with all the fixings you could imagine for either a simple or decadent hot chocolate to meet any craving. They also have delicious ice cream and desert options. So far, we've not found a single restaurant (in three years) we like better for dessert. Service: it honestly varies. Some days, amazing service and staff, the women I've experienced behind the counter are phenomenal. The younger gentleman that change every few days seem rather put out to make 6 hot chocolates for our crew, especially if they aren't all the exact same and they have to somehow designate which is which. We've been every day this week and they've seem frustrated every single time when any gentleman was making the hot chocolate. We loved the cones with soft serve vanilla dipped in the hazelnut chocolate or milk chocolate that turns into a hard shell. Freaking amazing! It's a must try and highly recommend. The menu is very interesting wherein they offer different coffees, different types of hot chocolates and coffee and chocolate combinations that are out of this world. We ordered a latte and a chocolate chaud coffee with hazelnut milk chocolate. There were multiple chocolate options to choose from such as almond milk chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, etc. but we stuck to the hazelnut milk chocolate as a fan favorite. We got petit, which is not so petit. BIG for a child. Go mini! Anyhoo, for extra you can choose a dip topping and they have variety! This is the kind of dip you can get on your soft serve from the Mr. Softee truck. Only this dip would make Mr. Softee ashamed of himself and question his life choices. The dip crust is THICK! Chocolato! This is a very cute place once you go inside. You guys have to stop by to get a nice coffee or an espresso. What amazes me is the variety of chocolate flavours you can choose from. They even have strawberry flavour ! Very unique because I have never come across a place that offers different flavours of chocolate. We got Caramel Royal. It's a vanilla ice cream with caramel bits and lots of caramel. Loved it! I was planning to go on a diet this trip but this place knows how to entice you. Located in the heart of Mont Tremblant. This place is a chocolate lovers paradise. They serve icecream, waffles & various flavors of gourmet hot chocolate. Tried the hazelnut hotchoclate. This was very decadent. If you have a sweet tooth, this is perfect for you. Also tried the waffle. I found it very sweet but otherwise it was tasty. The staff was very friendly and even turned the fireplace on for us. The area was also lit with twinkle lights so the ambiance was great. Went to Chocolato this weekend with my husband. We didn't realize at the time of ordering but it was 20-15 minutes before closing. My husband orders a "tournade" with two types of candy in it. This treat alone costs us about 12$-13$ and was served 2/3 full, with ice cream all over the 1/3 top of the rime (I saw the young man making it and his hands were full of ice cream, he barely wiped it away). The treat just looked TERRIBLE and the guy serving us looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there. I then realized it was close to closing and that was probably what explained his attitude (but given that it was a Friday night, there had been customers before us and costumers that arrived after us...). All to say that we were very disappointed when we ended up paying over 20$ (for a half filled and trashed "tournade" and one ball of gelato, + 15% tip). I know that Mont-Tremblant can be expensive but this really didn't feel like it was worth what we paid for (except for the gelato, that was delicious!). The poor attitude of the employee didn't help either.. (I now wish I had taken a picture of the blizzard to show just how messy and empty it was). I'm sure this experience is not a reflection of this establishment and the quality of its products (as is reflected by the shops good reviews).
