one story library with about 6-7 tables and maybe a dozen tables with mini desks to study on. it's quiet without too many disturbances and there are two private study rooms limited to an hour use at a time. restroom use requires you buzz in or ask a staff member to buzz you in. restroom and table surfaces are clean and they have a water bottle machine. minus the big huge cockroach in the restroom, this library is alright. read more

With the new and improved Library, I would definitely definitely come here to study! They have made the place brighter and the design has made it look bigger and more inviting. I love that the tables have built in sockets for electronic charging. The tables are big and the seats are comfortable. The ambiance is more opened that it was before. I'm really glad they revamped the place. Staff is friendly and with the do-it-yourself-check-out, it's convenient and time saving than waiting in line. There is also a reference desk person to help with finding books you want. read more

We moved here right when Covid got, so sadly we only participated in the sidewalk services. The app to hold books is so easy and the staff is always so helpful at answering any questions! Love the ease of renting books out, can't wait for them to fully open so I can bring my kids here! read more

My first time at this Library, i decided to check this place out due to the ravin ratings! I dont know why the Libraries in Socal are so old.. the ones i am used to up North are all newly renovated and super big and stocked up with lots of different books.. I came in for a specific topic where, i approached the information desk where an older gentleman assisted me, he was BEYOND HELPFUL and VERY informational beyond his duties, that is why if i could rate his helpfulness only it would be 5+ stars, selection here is minimal, more of a highschool, grade school library... rarely any college level books here.. so if you need high school material and below., this place is for you! i Brought my MACbook here, there internet was down for a bit ( a huge downside) then when it did work it was supppperrrrr sloowwwwwww!!!! then I JUST decided to go back home after an hour... :/ this library is filled with kids but is pretty quiet. which i appreciated! but there were these seniors who were socializing amongst themselves pretty loud, i gave them a c'mon look and they started to whisper! so thank you!!!! overall nice staff. read more

My childhood library has finally re-opened!! It's gone under construction for the last 2 years at least, and now both the interior and exterior look brand spanking new. The sections in the library look relatively the same as before (according to my fuzzy memory, please excuse me lol), but with new everything! Study tables, chairs, computers, shelves, wall decor, and most of the books are in relatively new condition. I feel like the quantity of books isn't at full capacity though, some of the shelves have books pushed all the way to one end, leaving about 40% space left. (Yeah, yeah, the library is asking me to donate my old books at home, I know.) It can get kind of rowdy and crowded with the nearby high schoolers hanging out here after school. Funny thing was when I tried to use my ancient library card from 15 years ago, they made me sign up for a new one! Apparently, you have to get a new one every 3 years... (makes me feel kind of guilty haha) Glad that they finally gave this outdated place a new look! read more

This library is decent for studying because it is fairly quiet. However, the desks are small and usually occupied. Little to no available outlets. Need to have a library card to use the Wi-Fi. Deal breaker: The past two times I have visited this library, there have been issues with the internet. The librarian came out and told everyone the issue would be fixed in 15-20 minutes. I like this library because it's a good size... open space with lots of table. just be aware that the only tables with plus are ones where you're sitting against the wall. bleh. LOTS of people came on sunday so if you're there to do work, bring sound proof headphones. it's wonderful that the staff are super nice, AND you can buy candy from them (and allowed to eat it inside). People were totally drinking water and whatnot too which I appreciated after being there for 4 hours. It's a decent library, but don't come here if you want a perfectly silent library. FYI, there is free Wi-Fi, but you have to have a library card. oh and plenty of parking. and great places to eat around here. read more

I used to love this library until the day i really needed to study in a library. This place is very noisy, I don't even know if headphones or ear buds can save you here. I've had to tell children to quiet down numerous times just to get a few minutes of silence and have them talk loudly again. Many kids come here after school to wait for their parents to pick them up, but they don't understand that they have walked into a library and need to be quiet... Internet is almost nonexistent. If you want wifi, you are better off at starbucks. Needs remodeling, but that doesn't bother me as much as the noise and internet. i hate buying books because you read them once and then they sit collecting dust on your shelves. thanks to the library i don't have to! if you haven't signed up your library card online DO IT! email reminders when your books are due, you can also request books/DVDs/music to come to your library and you get an email letting you know when they arrive. its kind of awesome. everything in life should be this easy. read more

The staff has only become less helpful and one of the managers tries to steal your money. I lost my card and the manager and another told me it would be $20. I emailed the LA County Public Library and they told me its only $3. I went back to the library. The staff member said the manager wasnt in, so I stepped away, called and the manager picked up. I confronted him and his boss and he acted like he never met me and said its $3. If this happens to you, get it in writing that $20 is their policy and send an email to referenceservices@library.lacounty.gov. This LIbrary hasnt changed in 28 years since I started going so if you want to go to a libary from 1987, this is your place. They do have movies to rent for free however and being open on Sundays is convenient. read more

Most Public library gets louder after 1 PM when the students are out of school. This library is the loudest . There are small kids running around . Teenagers playing inside , waiting for their parents to get them picked up . I talked to the staff and the only answer is it is hard to control . Come on the library is not a place to play around , for teenagers to hang around. I was disappointed. This is the worst public library I had been . Headphones are definitely a must because people do not know how to whisper. The best time to come is early in the morning until about 1 due to the high school students get off and come chill at the library. That's also when it gets crowded and you should move to the diamond bar library and study. read more

As I have moved to different cities where my work takes me, I have the opportunity to compare the different libraries in LA . I was mum when a Head librarian in one of the libraries confronted me that " Computer can't be wrong" when I addressed a glitch error of overdue. With my long term library membership history , Rowland Heights librarians worked the glitch error, stating such glitch sure happens. Didn't hackers already hit Feds, The White House, NASA etc in the past? I guess only wide readers understand how cybertechs convert to cybercrooks. Rowland heights library also has the best Book Sales deals ever. I just love this library with their cool people. read more

I grew up going to this library, getting books, doing homework and waiting for my mom to pick me up after school. Plentiful tables, enough for everyone. A wide selection of youth books, and even a special corner for children's books. The other side of the library has magazines, newspapers, and research. The "big people section" per se. Big enough in my opinion. Has everything you are looking for. However, there is a reason why I love this library... this library changed my life. How... you may ask. This may not be the right place to share my story, but this is only one review on yelp. I'm going to type it anyways. It was 7/12/10, my first day of volunteering at the library. They have a Summer Reading Program for the little kids, and I volunteered to sit behind the desk and manage it. Kids would trade in lists of books they read, for prizes. There were stamps, stickers, and a lots of little kids running around. It was my first day, I was so nervous to work there. That's when I met two guys also working with me. They didnt talk to me though. I knew at first glance they were friends and I was the one left alone. Awkward isnt it. However... the more we worked together, I developed a little crush on one of them.. a crush that turned into a first date, that turned into first love, and now two years later, still going strong! (: I guess the moral of the story... if you are a high school student looking for a volunteer job for college community hours, there's always the library! Never know who you will meet there... Smallish library that constantly changes it's schedule depending on how cash strapped they are. They seem to teeter on the brink. Inside it's fairly small and not enough seating. The wireless internet is well below average. You have to go through an elaborate password encrypted system that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. They actually paid cisco $$ to limit your ability to use it. When it is working the speeds are slow. They need to hire a new fundraising person and work on making the library more user friendly. read more

Librarians are very helpful here! Every time I call to request a book, they always try to locate it for me or request it from another library. On the larger side. Free Wi-Fi. Parking can be an issue because of the small lot and the number of patrons. Open 7 days a week! read more

I haven't been to any public libraries except this one, but if they're all like this I'm not missing out. Its always loud no natter the time of day and weekdays after school is the worst time. Kids choose to hangout here loudly until their parents pick them up disrespecting the people trying to work. When I was a kid libraries were quiet places. No one even enforces it anymore! I'd rather go to my college library, but I still come here on occasion for printing. Its closer to me as well. Do not recommend. read more
