I love my lashes! I went in on Saturday for my very first eyelash extension application with TIffani. She was SO incredibly sweet and really easy to talk to during the hour and a half that it took to apply the extensions. I have to admit that I was worried about having to sit there for the 2 hours that was expected since I get a little A.D.D with having to sit still for so long but the time passed so fast since Tiffani and I were chatting away. Before I knew it we were done! They used these gel eye pads to protect your lower lashes and skin under your eye from the glue. The fumes were pretty strong and made my eyes a little watery and stingy but it wasn't too bad. A little pain is worth the beauty for these awesome lashes. I was a little bummed because Tiffani was out of the longest darkest extensions which are the ones I wanted but she was able to do a mixture of some longer and shorter ones. I have to say, they look completely real!! I had seen someone with eyelash extensions before and they looked good but not that real. These ones look SO real! It just looks like my real lashes with mascara on but longer than they usually are. I will for sure be going back but next time I will check to make sure she has the longer darker extensions in before I go. I am testing these out for my wedding and I want to have big full lashes on my wedding day! So, i do plan on getting a longer, darker and fuller application next time until I get the look I want for my wedding. I loved Tiffani and I will be going back soon! read more

I'm a little bit torn with this place...I came here recommended by my mom because she bought the $100 groupon deal for me! I was so excited to get all freshened up. First off, I booked my appointment with Nadine and she ended up not showing. One of the other esthetician's ended up doing what was supposed to be my chemical peel. Ordinarily, I would be fine with it, but I didn't even get a courtesy phone call saying that somebody else would be doing my treatment. With my Groupon, I booked an exfoliation which was valued at $100. When I got there, they asked me what face cleanser I was using. When I told them what I was using, they said that that specific cleanser has an exfoliant which makes my skin very thin and that they wouldn't be able to do the treatment I had booked. Maybe they should ask this information when people are initially booking the appointment? I don't know..I'm just the customer. Since I couldn't get the exfoliation, I asked the esthetician to give me another $100 treatment facial. She kept getting whatever was SUPPOSED to be going on my face in places elsewhere...on my lip, inside my nose..it was kinda unprofessional. When she was done, it seemed kinda short (45 minutes). Maybe thats their style, but when I went home, I looked on their websites and didn't even see a $100 treatment on there. In that, I feel a little ripped off and betrayed....I think this place is great, but every person has their own personal experiences. Mine just wasn't as great as I had expected it to be. read more

The first two times I went to this place I had a great experience, largely due to Tiffany who was great. When I made my last appointment online (same as I did two times before), I noticed that all the names were gone except for one woman, who I am assuming is the owner. That wasn't a great sign but I still made an appointment and received a confirmation email and text for my appointment. Similar to another review I saw here on Yelp, I showed up to a locked door with nobody in sight. I called and left a message, waited for about 10 minutes and then left. I ended up receiving an email a day later from the owner out of the online system stating that my appointment wasn't accepted systematically because "the system will not put through bookings if client has previously no showed or cancelled outside of policy procedure." I never missed either of my two previous appointments so that was a lame excuse for not showing up. I didn't ever receive a phone call back either. Rather than taking responsibility for the error, the owner blamed the no-show on me, which is some of the worst customer service I've experienced. Not only have all the good employees left this place, but they also no longer take credit cards. Both of those signs combined with the horrible customer service lead me to believe this place will close within the next 6 months. read more

I just loved this place, I found it by chance and gave Sureya that 100 questions over the phone. She was so sweet and helpful. I received a facial as a gift from my brother because my 4 1/2 yr divorce was FINALLY over!! It was the best way to end the saga. My brother also got one from Nadine and he loved it. He lives in Texas and said he will come back when he is in Cali next time. The spa was so relaxing, inviting and had a warm-loving feeling. I came out of there feeling on top of the world. Sureya made me feel like I was a long lost friend. I won't go anywhere else. Actually I will make an appointment for May as my mother's day gift to me!!! Laura and Bailey did my sisters wedding this past weekend in kirkwood, CA and absolutely killed it. Not only are they super personable, but they are extremely talented. They took each person's vision for hair and makeup and made it a reality. From the trial run to the wedding day (and everything in between), it couldn't have gone smoother. My sister and I loved the experience with them from start to finish and they put my sister at ease with her perfect wedding day look. Laura flawlessly put together lighter looks for the moms that they loved and a more bold look for the maids that perfectly complimented the dresses. Bailey took each persons inspiration for their hair and put her own unique style into based on each individual persons vision. Tattooing my eyebrows was surely something I thought I'd never do! Well I learned to never say never. Nadine reshaped my brows brilliantly, and then we went for tattoo #1. I loved the subtle detailing so much that I had tattoo #2 to thicken them ever so slightly. The results are magnificent. Brows are a frame for the face. Mine are thicker, prettier, and makes my face more alive! Although my brows are "tattooed", no one would ever notice as they look realistic and natural. The spa was sparkling, glowing candlelight, very peaceful. We talked very little during my "reshaping" and I was relaxed and quite happy with the service @ La Di Da, a darling spa! Love love love this place. I've been getting facials for over 3 years now, but just started going to Nadine this summer, and my skin has never looked as good as it has since I've begun going to Nadine @ La Di Da. My brows look the best they ever have, my pores are non-existent (finally...thanks to Nadine) and the previous mid-day oil slick that would visit my face daily has vanished! I am a big fan of this delightful studio, especially the decor it's very tasteful w/an understated elegance & charm that is inviting and not at all pretentious or intimidating like some places I've been to. Adore the staff, they are all very genuine people that make you feel welcome and like a long time friend. Her products, FAB!... skin care and makeup...both must haves for any girl wanting to put her best face forward. Prices are perfect I think.... high enough (let's face it people...bargain basement equals Spock brows and strange breakouts) that you know you're getting a person that knows what the heck they are doing but not so high that you wonder if they put unicorn tears in the water to justify the outrageous price. I always look forward to when I go get a facial..it's "me" time...it's my time to just be a girl for a while and chick out! She obviously knows and understands that and is great about knowing when you need to talk and when you need to veg out and just relax, and I really appreciate that. I love this place! I wish I got a chance to write this review earlier! (Oh well, better late than never!) I called La Di Da because I needed my makeup done for my friends wedding. Tiffani did a fabulous job! She used quality makeup on me (Jane Iredale) which stayed on the whole day and definitely photographed well. I asked her if she did updo's, and she was able to give me a beautiful yet simple updo; a side ponytail with curls. I received plenty of compliments that day thanks to Tiffani. The only downfall to this place is that I was unable to add a tip when I paid with my debit/credit card! Bring CASH for tip!!! Fortunately I was able to tip her with a new Sephora Gift Card I had in my wallet! I also told her I'd send referrals her way if anyone needed to look great on a special day. read more

Monica came to our hotel (for a small fee) to do the make up for my sister's wedding. She deserves 5 stars for the following reasons: --She arrived on time and kept to the schedule so we were ready and good to go without being late --Everybody looked FABULOUS. The bridesmaids, the bride, the mother of the bride and mother of the groom were all happy with their make up. As most of you know...somebody is usually not excited about the way they look but all of us felt glamorous and beautiful --She adapted to our requests even without a head's up (fake eyelashes, additional people to do, etc.) --And above and beyond her ability as a make up artist...WHEN OUR PHOTOGRAPHER WAS LATE AND COULDN'T MAKE IT TO THE HOTEL TO GET PHOTOS BEFORE WE LEFT FOR THE CEREMONY (yes my sister the bride started freaking out and people were getting pissy), MONICA BUSTED OUT HER PROFESSIONAL CAMERA (APPARENTLY HER HUSBAND OR BOYFRIEND IS A PHOTOGRAPHER) AND CAPTURED THE MOMENTS FOR US. I normally don't write reviews, but I had to for this place. I bought a Groupon for $100 worth of services. I decided to get a facial. Well, it was the worst "facial" I could ever get for a paid service. I had asked for a peel or something to lighten my acne marks. Tiffany told me that for now, they would "test" my skin and see my tolerance level. I understand that because they didn't want to risk anything by using something too strong. She told me that "next time" they can do a peel. I even expressed my interest in some "aggressive" form of facial but I don't think it worked. Well, I expected to get extractions and deep cleaning atleast and I thought I had made it clear. She basically did extraction for maybe 1 minute and then put on some mask with salicylic acid I think and maybe one other product and gave a nice massage and I was done. I'm sure I spent about an hour in the "facial," however, I got nothing out of it. Honestly, as soon as I got in my car, I noticed some whiteheads and blackheads on my face. I can't believe I walked out of a facial feeling like nothing was done!!! I got the receipt saying the facial they did was for $85. That's ridiculous because hardly ANY extraction was done and I had to come home and do it myself. I've bought many groupons and "groupon like deals" for facials and I've never had such an experience in my life! Just to clarify, this review is about the facial itself, NOT the person doing the facial. Tiffany was extremely nice and friendly and fun to talk to. She explained to me how i would need few peels to fade away my acne marks and answered all my questions. If you got eyelash extensions with Tiffani Kowalski, she was absolutely phenomenal!!! Tiffani has left La Di Da and is now with the Millennium Salon in Dublin if you need to find her. I went back to La Di Da after Tiffani had left (because I couldn't find her) and was "experimented" on by another girl. It was a complete disaster. Beware that despite what Nadine tells you, no one else at La Di Da has any real experience doing eyelash extensions aside from what they've "read in books". I'm sure that La Di Da is great at providing other services, but if you want eyelash extensions done RIGHT, I suggest you find Tiffani. read more

I have never written a review on Yelp but I was super pleased with my experience at La Di Da that I knew I just had to set aside the time to write one. I have always wanted permanent make up but was always too fearful to do so because of the pain OR was afraid that they wouldn't look natural. After doing much googling, I was only able to locate one place in the area JuvEssentials. Ugh! I wont even write about this place since that should be a whole separate review on their page. One day I was researching lash extensions and came across La Di Da's site. I saw that they did eye brow tattooing. Tattooing is such a horrible terminology. It gives off the impression that the result will be unnatural and harsh. Totally not true and I wish I wouldn't have been deceived by the term when I first researched permanent make up. I wanted to get a bit more insight on this procedure so I called and set up a consultation appointment with Nadine. My consultation experience was WONDERFUL!!! Nadine listened to what I wanted to achieve and started to shape my eye brows the way she felt would look good on me. She was super detailed and is such a perfectionist. When she showed me the result on what she envisioned, I was astonished. I loved it!!!!! I never knew my eye brows could look so long and have a nice arch!!! Never! She didn't pressure me into getting my eye brows done right there and then ... as JuvEssentials did. I scheduled my eye brow session before i left because I was ecstatic to have my previous eye brows corrected immediately (please note, JuvEssentials' work faded within 6 months ... Not Worth the $700 I Paid!!!). My actual eye brow tattooing session was easy. I'm such a chicken when it comes to pain. Nadine kept ensuring me it wont be bad. She was right because she would take a break to reapply numbing cream if there was any discomfort and then proceed once the area was numb. My eye brows look great! I love it and Nadine's work is just magical!!!! You definitely need to check out this place if you have ever considered getting permanent eye brows. I got my eye brows Waxed by Crystal. WOW!! What a phenomenal job she did! She is so sweet and she very meticulous. I'm so glad I found her. I will continue to come see her. She also showed me how to define my brows with a fine brush to enhance them. The hairs on my brows are very spars. She took the time! I love that! She even does Brazilian waxing... Not only do our eyelashes look great, but she is very professional and always makes sure that our lashes are perfect. I went to see Crystal for an eyebrow, arm and bikini waxing. I've been going to Crystal for about 6 months now and I followed her here. Crystal is awesome, she never burns my eyebrows (I have REALLY, REALLY sensitive skin and every esthetician I have gone to has burned my skin). I never post reviews on anything, but I felt my experience with Tiffani this past Saturday was worthy of one, and a 5-star one at that! I was booked for a Signature Facial (that I'd gotten a great deal on through SF Gate Deals several months ago). Tiffani was kind & understanding even after arriving late to my appointment. She got me in quickly, thoroughly discussed my skin needs & concerns, and then got right to it. Despite getting extractions which are never any fun, she was as gentle as could be and once that part was done, I was so relaxed I completely dozed off while my mask was drying (which was some really strong stuff, I could feel it getting deep into my pores, yet for me it didn't sting or burn at all, loved that!). The facial also included a quick but divine neck & shoulder massage. When Tiffani was finished and got all the stuff off my face, she revealed to me a much smoother and glowy complexion (and, two days later, my skin still looks smoother and clearer)! One of the best facials I've gotten, for sure. The complimentary bottled water, product samples, and mineral face powder & concealer touch up were all really nice perks.
