Red tuna Tataki with Wakame seaweed (front) & ravioli stuffed with lamb (back)
    Giovanna V.

10/10 for anyone who is looking for a great restaurant to enjoy local tapas! Everyone is super friendly. The service was quick and efficient. We had bread dipped in olive oil, payoya cheese, red sausage, red tuna tataki, raviolis stuffed with lamb, and shrimp with kimchee sauce.

Food & service were great - located in the Alfalfa area. Menu felt very similar to La Malvatore. We did outdoor dining. MILLE FEOUILLE OF EGGPLANT, ROASTED SWEET POTATOES, GOAT CHEESE - 9.90€ Amazing display, stack of layers ... a little challenging to eat, lol. The standout dish of the evening. MIX DE QUESOS - 4.50€ Cheese plate also very good - 4 cheese wedges; jam esp. good. GRILLED IBERIAN FINEST PORK FILLETS W/ FRIES & SMALL FRIED GREEN PEPPERS - 14.90€ 3 big pieces of pork, plenty fries, jalapeno peppers not spicy. Great dish for sharing. PAN Y PICOS - 1.20€ Observing all restaurants provide this even though we didn't order it. Just for reference - sangria 5.90€, and 1/2 L water 2.00€. Highly recommend.

A nice lunch, standard Seville fare, reliable nice staff and good drinks. The sangria was quite tasty I give it three as my dish was forgotten and, 40 minutes later a dish....the wrong dish was served. (Fried egg on ratatouille....egg plant is one of those veggies that I can not eat) Nice decor, plenty of out door seating. A good stop if you are hungry.

We stopped by here twice during our visit to Seville and we were not disappointed. While Spain is known for Sangria, my favorite cocktail of our trip was the Cuban Mojito found here. The food was very good as well. We enjoyed croquetas and a delicious salad with goat cheese. Lastly, we always had excellent service and the prices are very good. I would definitely stop here if you are close by!

This place is overrated, I had the risotto which was very average despite the good reviews. The empanada is okay but nothing exceptional. There are sprinklers outside but the water touched the food.

We visited la Escaloná at the end of our Sevilla trip to have some last tapas lunch. The restaurant is located central at a small square and offers a nice and big terrace to sit outside. At the restaurant, the staff is very friendly and you get the typical olives, crackers, and bread as an appetizer. The tapas were excellent. Presented nicely, the meat and fish quality was perfect and the combinations presented just great. Especially all sauces and pestos seemed homemade and will stay in good memory. All in all the price is perfect for the amount and quality of food you get and we totally recommend anyone to pass by for some tapas.

i had the yogurt and muesli with a cafe con leche and orange juice

We had a great brunch here, however the service is very slow. That would be the only issue. The food was great. Part of my family got the Waffles with chocolate and loved them.

We were looking for place that served fried eggs and bacon and found this gem along Calle Aguilas. The restaurant at the corner of the Plaza de Alfalfa has a nice welcoming ambience. It's bright, clean and spacious (2 levels)inside. We chose a table indoors instead of the outside because it's supposed to rain. We were greeted warmly and the friendly wait staff all spoke English. The breakfast dishes were of good portion, well prepared and presented. The ham and cheese sandwich was delicious. The bacon fried egg tomato sausage and beans was just what I wanted. Good breakfast.

Food is great, we actually came here twice during our trip to Seville. It satisfied the adults plus the picky North American children!

    Review Highlights - la Escaloná

Take the wine recommendation from Karwan, but make sure to establish a price limit (even still, our FANTASTIC red was only $30 for the bottle).

The food was spectacular (falls in my top 5 ever!) and the service, plus ambiance were top-notch. Table for two, 5 tapas and 3 drinks.... Cost? Under $40 USD. I came here due to a yelp recommendation because like most westerners unaccustomed to the Spanish way of living I was hungry at about 7 pm and needed something to eat. Yay yelp to the rescue. The place was crowded and there were no seats available when I arrived. There were many small groups congregated around tables and a few couples as well. It isn't obvious how to proceed once you come in the door so I probably stood there awkwardly for a few minutes near the door before making my way to the bar to what looked to be a vacant seat. A gentleman informed me that it belonged to his girlfriend so I was forced to now stand awkwardly next to the bar. Bar tender to the rescue explaining that if I waited he was pretty sure someone would leave soon and I could order a drink while I waited. I ordered a sangria and also inquired about food but was told that I need to have an actual seat in order to order food. After nursing my drink for about 20 mins when I was about to pay and head out to find somewhere else to eat, a spot finally opened up and I was treated to the most delicious steak and potatoes and zucchini tapas. This had to be one of the most delicious things I have eaten on this vacation. When I finally vacated my seat to save a pair of new arrivals, there was a line outside of people waiting for the opportunity to eat here. I might chance it again before I leave Seville. I highly recommend for the food and friendly waiters but wish there was a way to turn seats over more quickly. One guy kept insisting he was saving his girlfriend's seat but in the 90 mins I spent there she never showed up. Who knows if she ever existed. Bread comes free with your tapas order and really complimented the meal.

After walking around the…read morecathedral and old town, it was time for a much needed break, because man, this town is huge! Alas, handy dandy Yelp saved the day (as it always seems to do) and directed me to this cute little pastry shop hidden between the windy streets of Sevilla. The shop is small with only 3 tables inside and some seating available outside. It's super cute too with a french aesthetic, pastel walls, and jars of pastries sitting right in the middle. We were lucky enough to snag a table at 5pm and ordered right away as I was excited to try their apple cake (recommended by Yelp) which was suprisingly an apple tart! My dad who joined me during my unofficial tea time ordered an espresso and cheesecake as well. I was very happy with the offerings, as I could say that I haven't had a better apple tart, even in France! It was flaky, not too sweet, and a downright beautiful pastry with apple folds in the middle! The cheesecake was great too with a homemade marmalade on top. The pastries blew me away and if you're looking for a nice place for a break of even a quick morning option that isn't typical to Sevilla, come here and you won't be disappointed at all!

Located within 5 minutes walking of the Alcazar it makes for an easy stop in before or after visiting the Alcazar. Everything is served on mismatched china in the courtyard of a Spanish home (cool right?). However, there is where my gushing stops. Service was very poor on a morning that wasn't busy (from the looks of it). We had to ask twice for our orders to be taken (language barrier wasn't the issue), the food was mediocre at best. NOT real churros by any means. They had a weird almost plastic taste to them and the chocolate was very watery with no flavor. The tortilla de patata was also very dry. Not rushing back by any means.

We ordered the *Egg Porn (brioches topped with turkey, cheese, eggs, avocado, spinach and hollandaise sauce) *NYC (bread with tomatoes, avocadoes, seeds and eggs) for 12 and 13 euros respectively. Both came with a choice of coffee from the drinks menu, so we were also able to try the Te Macha and Chai Latte. My friend also got a fruit bowl and orange juice with her NYC! The food was truly one of the best brunches we've ever had and the serving size was fairly large. The Chai Latte was more or or less just a steamer with a black pearl tea bag but the Te Matcha was a unique tasting steamer combined with some tea and matcha. This place is definitely worth a meal for anyone traveling through Seville. There are also locations in Malaga and Marbella, and one opening in Mallorca apparently very soon. All in all, my friend and I will definitely remember this meal for a long time :) One of the best brunches we had during our trip through Portugal and Spain
