Such a cute little tapas bar in Seville! My husband and I were trying to find our first stop and were happily surprised with Bar Agustin. The menu is in Spanish and English. The entire staff spoke multiple languages which was super helpful for my Span-English. We started off with cocktails. Can't get enough of Vermouth when I'm in Spain! Additional, we ordered a few tapas including the tuna, sardines, and goat cheese with peach jam. Everyone was so friendly and the portions were great. Small enough to try multiple things and big enough to fill us up. Great location for people watching too. Would love to come during warmer months to enjoy the patio or sidewalk. read more

We were spent from our hike to the cathedral tower and touring. Ready for something to eat and a cocktail sounds like a great plan, as well. We stopped here which had a very inviting patio seating down an alley, so slightly away from the busy street. We had sangria and I had the Pan de Muertos cocktail that was VERY refreshing - ropasado, pineapple juice, orange syrup, Contreau, etc. yummy and dangerous. We had the tomato burrata salad, the grilled artichokes, tuna tapa in tomato sauce and the garlic shrimp. It was all fantastic! The tomato salad was thin slices of tomato with a healthy block of burrata with a generous pour of basil olive oil. Great for dipping bread. The tuna was think chunks of fresh tuna simmered in a sweet Spanish tomato sauce. It was really good. I was afraid the tuna would be dry, but it wasn't at all. Really flavorful. The grilled artichoke was the best. The chokes were trimmed to the tender middles and lightly grilled. They were tender and delicious! The shrimp was a bit of a disappointment. The flavors were all there and they served it sizzling in an iron pan, but they were small shrimp. Somehow I was expecting larger prawns. They were good, just had a different expectation. We arrived for dinner on 5/22/2024 for dinner. After having a very bad experience yesterday at nearby Pelayo we decided to give Agustin & company a try. What a difference a day makes. We had two plates the egg with artichoke and the grilled pulpo finally the cheesecake for dessert. Both dishes were delicious with the pulpo being fantastic. The service which is so important for us was really good, our two waitresses Elva and Celia were courteous and attentive giving us suggestions on their favorite dishes. We appreciate the wonderful hospitality and friendliness. We enjoyed the experience. ........................ESPAÑOL............... My daughter and I came upon this place on a very busy evening during the Seville Feria. We poked our heads inside hoping we might find an available table when a server saw us and encouraged us to wait a couple minutes and she would have a table for us. We are really glad we waited as it was only a very short time until we ended up sitting near the street. We had great views of the beautiful people of Seville dressed up for the Feria! We started with a couple glasses of sangria and ordered several tapas: grilled artichokes with truffle oil, scallops with risotto, baked goat cheese with mango jam, and a couple glasses of their delicious gazpacho. We stopped by this restaurant late at night looking for some drinks and tapas. The food was excellent. I definitely recommend the artichoke and truffle oil. The truffle oil really provides the wow factor in terms of taste and makes the dish taste amazing. Next, the iberico ham was good but nothing special. However, I was on a journey to find some iberico ham that blew me in Spain and did not find any. It is fine but I have tried better cured meats. Accordingly, my thoughts about the ham are more about the dish in general than Bar Agustin's take on it. On the other hand, the fried sea bass was great. The fish was super fresh and sizzling hot inside. It was breaded perfectly. The pistachio sauce was outstanding. The tartar sauce was good too. In addition, the side of peppers were great with the sauces. We only went for some late night tapas but I would definitely go back for a full dinner. Outstanding tapas and service. Very busy place with excellent food and pice/value. Tapa size were big and so were the plates. High lights were the pork cheek with wine sauce, salmarejo, cod with tomato sauce, prawn/seafood cocktail. The Iberian salami, tomato salad were also very solid. The baby squid with green sauce was fresh but I personally would like it to be flavored more- but it was def fresh and tasty. Wish I had more stomach to trial out more. Would def go back. This place is aesthetically amazing. The decor is electric with a lot of lamps and industrial bulb lighting. There is an enclosed patio as well as a patio exterior to that. The walls inside hold wine shelves. They offer tapas (around 4€) larger plates, cocktails (example sex on the beach), wine for 2.50€, beers and cavas. They ran out of the Jamon iberico so I tried the sausage per waiter's request. I also tried a delicious fish ceviche that came with onion, lime, bell pepper and very fragrant arugula. This was by far my favorite dish. Each table gets a basket of bread. I tried manchego cheese that they drizzled with dried herb and olive oil. Ambience really did it for me with this place. Our waiter rushed us a bit because we arrived at 11:15 pm and the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. read more

Some hits and some okays, which is fine. The variety of tapas is impressive, as is the creativity of the items. They even have a hamburger for the seriously un-adventurous eaters. The hits: steak in whisky sauce, pork cheeks, baked goat cheese, camembert croquettes, shrimp fritters, the crepe dessert, and Infante brandy. The okays: cod with pumpkin (watch for bones), salmoreja (this is never better than okay to me), fried sea bass in a barely there batter (watch for bones), duck slices, and the sangria. Great service. Sure, they made mistakes on a very busy night. I can live with that -- they fixed it when we said something. It was impressive to see the staff deal with various personalities, some that were very difficult. Any guesses on the nationality of the really difficult people who were upset about having to wait for a table and literally stood over me to see if they could make me so uncomfortable that they could get my table? My mom and I were on vacation in Sevilla and came across this lovely bar/restaurant (luckily) after finding out our original juice for dinner was completely full for the evening. We were seated instantly here, in a little quiet corner. The ambiance in this place is warm and welcoming, and very intricately decorated with notes of the past, accented with modern style. While I started ordering wine in Spanish, the waiter realized my mom only spoke English, so he gave her an English menu and he was very kind and made great recommendations for us. The food was simply delicious. We ordered the artichoke with truffle oil, the bacalao with pumpkin purée and caramelized pimientos, the duck foie with figs, tortilla rota, and goat cheese with mango jam. We had a superb dessert- a "satchel", similar to a crepe, filled with berries and sitting in a pool of wonderful vanilla creme. I hope to come back one day to this wonderful place!! read more

This tapas bar was recommended by my son, who dined here a month ago and loved the food, beverages and the prices. We shared a salad with tuna (large, we couldn't finish) and had the goat cheese plate, beef cheeks and fries with a rich beefy gravy, cheese sausage, several glasses of vino and a couple beers. The place is very upbeat, positive staff that rally to please and the environment is eclectic with a Florida Keys vibe. They weren't offended that our Spanish is horrid, and they seemed to enjoy themselves in their efforts to help customers. We were on the hunt for some tapas for dinner, and stumbled across this wonderful place. The atmosphere is so special and welcoming. There is both outdoor and indoor seating for guests. The menu is extensive and may options are available in both tapa sizes and plate sizes. We had about six tapas for the two of us, and it was perfect. The tapas were all delicious, our favorite was the scallops and wheat risotto (we ordered it twice!). The staff was more than accommodating and were really lovely. Loved thsi restaurant, I stayed two days in Sevilla and both days I ate there. We are a family if five (kids) we all loved the restaurants, the menu has many options and the ambiance is great. It's perfect if you want to try the sevillan cuisine ordering many tapas, the prices are also great we never spent more than 60€ in the place and we were very hungry every time we went. Go and try it, you will have no regret, the people are also great. If you go in busy hours you may have to wait about 10-15 minutes but it's definitely worth it. read more

If you're tired of the same old gambas al ajillo or tortilla this is the place to find it. We loved the ceviche and we had a number of different options to choose from. Wandered in here after seeing a flamenco show. So good! The pork cheeks were like a better beef stew. The pork tenderloin al whiskey was our favorite. Both served over fries with garlic so cut it all up to make sure you get all 3 in each bite. Scallops and mushrooms were amazing, even for my fiancé who isn't a seafood fan. Decidedly "meh". However, since you have very few options in Seville on Monday "meh" will have to do. Slow service trumped the great location and comfortable decor. The food was saltier than needed. We had the sirloin and the pork cheeks, both of which showed up on french fries. The goat cheese and foie gras followed. Utterly average after the last couple of meals we have had. read more
