I have been coming here during my lunch break to finish some work. The chai latte and regular latte I have tried have been great. Make sure you order a cookie with your drink, they are delicious. Going to continue to come back and try their other drinks (and pastries too)! The baristas are friendly and welcoming :)

    Cozy up stairs seating.

This is a rarity in France: Seattle style coffee house (no, not the mermaid from pikes place). Vacuum coffee, drip, espresso, and great lattes. It's a cozy place with seating above the bar.

Very good espresso/machiatto. Friendly service (I tried to speak French, but baristo wanted to practice his English).

This is now one of my favorite cafes/tea shops in Toulouse - it will now be one of my staples of…read moreplaces to go to read, work, or catch up with friends. The place is actually decently large, with many tables and chairs so you're not fighting for space, and the ambiance is very cozy and homey. I love being surrounded by 2 long walls of books, and the decor is also lovely with different chairs, tables, etc. so that it's not all homogenous. They have WiFi, and other people are on their laptops working here, so it's a great place to come and get some work done. There are a lot of people just chatting here too, so it's not super quiet in here if you need a lot of silence to get work done (or just bring a pair of headphones). They serve salads and tartines here (but I have yet to try the savory food) and they are reasonably priced. I tried the leopard gateau and it was delicious - I had a similar pastry in Paris at Cyril Lignac and loved it -- I was looking for it all over in Toulouse and I've finally found it. If you love almond and chocolate, it's the perfect dessert/snack, and not too expensive at 2€. They have a wide selection of teas as well, and 4-5 choices of little cakes/sweets. All in all, one of my favorite places in Toulouse to spend an afternoon. I'll definitely be a regular here now!

I had a really enjoyable night out with some girlfriends exploring Toulouse. When it was time to…read morefind a place to eat, we had to consider a group with several dietary restrictions. Luckily, Le Bibent was available and had some tempting options. Fortunately, the food did not disappoint; everything we ordered was not only visually appealing but also quite tasty. Now that I've read reviews from previous years, I wonder whether they have changed chefs or adjusted their menu, since we had no complaints about the food. However, the service was a bit lacking. We had to ask someone several times to find our server to help with things like getting new utensils (since our previous ones had been removed), ordering drinks, and asking for more water. Also, the food took quite a while to arrive at each course, which was the only thing that slightly dampened our experience. Otherwise, we loved it.

This restaurant is racist and the food is horrible. We arrived 30 minutes before our reserved…read moretime. The entire restaurant was empty. The waitress led us to the back of the restaurant and to a table directly in front of the toilet/kitchen. We sat for 15 minutes and watched how every single customer was led to better tables located at the opposite section of the restaurant and far away from us. The same waitress came and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I decided to play along and ordered still water. Throughout the entire lunch, we observed how tap water was placed on the tables once the customers sat down. Yet we were not offered tap water throughout the entire meal. When the bill came, I asked the waitress if there was special reason to sit us in front of the toilet when the entire restaurant was empty at the time. She did not say anything. I then told her that we usually gave tips. But since we had ordered the still water that she recommended, we would not leave any tips this time. We stayed in France for over 3 weeks during our trip. This was by far the worst food we had ever tasted. Both of us did not finish our dishes because the food was tasteless. Our conclusion was that the chef either deliberately cooked badly for us or his/her taste buds were badly damaged. The chef had to try very hard to make every single dish so bland. For customers with colored skins, take your money to elsewhere. You should be respected. For all other customers, there are many restaurants in Toulouse offering fantastic food at the same or better price. They are just 5-10 minutes walk away. Do not be fooled by the decoration. It is a tourist trap.
