I really enjoyed this place, it's staff, the area, the food, the drinks, and desserts. It's located in the main plaza in Toulouse. You can make reservations but we just walked over a few times. Even though it seemed like there was no way they could fit us in; we got a table for 4 and 6 quickly. Many of the staff knew enough english or could understand our antiquated french to make ordering pleasant. Drinks were tasty. Portion sizes were big. Ambience is fantastic. If you like people watching this is the place to be. Also, the tables are so close, we met lots of people from around the world. read more

We were waiting for a long time for menus, we waited forever for our order to be taken, we waited a long time for our bill. See the trend? I ordered a steak. The steak was pan fried and not grilled, very tough. The French fries that came with the meal were lukewarm at best. Save your money and go somewhere else. My husband ordered the salmon with pasta. He said the salmon was good but the pasta with the sauce had more to be desired. read more

Ehhh compared to other restaurants in the area...this one was only okay. It was pricey even for lunch. I will however give it a thumbs up for the outside patio which gives you an excellent place to people watch! P.S. you gotta try the pizza place next door....delish. read more

Slow service and sub-par food. We both had pasta with seafood. The clams were gritty and several had not opened. I would not eat here again. Obviously a tourist trap as it's within view of the lovely Capitole but expensive and unimpressive. read more

Our first meal in Toulouse and it was excellent! The aperitifs were very bitter- not sure why it's called an Americano- lol- but we got through them! The steak fritte and swordfish ceviche were fantastic as was the tira misu! The rose' was delish and all in all this was awesome! Steak was thin and tough. Service sub par. Didn't come to check on my meal or ask if I wanted another glass of wine. Plus once they took everything from the table it took 20 minutes to get the check. Once and done! read more

Do not go for breakfast! Worst breakfast I had in France. Eggs: powder, bacon: I don't know if that was real meat. Crossaint at 9am: dry, overbaked. Bread: exception, that was good. Orange juice: clearly fresh as 99% of my juice was the orange's meat. Chocolate: half cup was powder, sticky, nasty, couldn't be sweeter. Only good points: price would be cheap if the food would be good. Waiter friendly and even tried to speak English. Location: nice. However, its about the food and that was clearly crap. read more

Great location in the center of the city but weak when it comes to quality food. I ordered the steak and fries medium rare. My steak came up rare and it was very tough to cut and chew. I was expecting a better quality of meat since this was France and all but this isn't what you would call an expensive restaurant. We sat outside and the service was very good. sympa pour prendre un verre mais rapport qualité prix médiocre. hung out a few times at this popular café on Place du Capitole where the city's social life is centered, around 6pm a clear reminder that Toulouse has a large university population. good for breakfast or a drink, food so-so. pretty cool HQ for people-watching. read more

One of our favourites when we have a day out in Toulouse. The decor is stunning should you have to eat indoors; the outside eating area is large and right there in the middle of Toulouse life - perfect if there is any entertainment going on in the main square. It is pricey compared to some Toulouse restaurants but you are in one of France's main cities - the two-course lunch menu is plenty but the plat du jour always looks the most interesting dish, well presented and well cooked. We stopped by one December evening just for a vin chaud and there was a jazz duo playing outside, the Christmas market and loads of atmosphere. Give it a go! read more

Nonono!!! unfriendly and very expensive! For dinner you have to wait at least an hour! And service is extremly unfriendly. I was a lucky guy, that I was allowed to spend them my money.
