This restaurant needs a major renovation and cleaning. There is furniture stacked up in corners of the dining rooms, the booths and seating are outdated, and flies around the restaurant. The food wasn't anything to brag about either. Chips were hard and thick. My quesadilla was very oily and no flavor. After we left, I had nausea. Walked in no one was waiting to seat us, stood there for a few minutes. Finally walked toward the kitchen area where the staff all were. Got seated, booths are outdated, stunk in there and dirty. I ate here a couple of years ago with a group of friends. I've been here before and after being invited to eat at La Finca I was less than thrilled. I ordered and waited for my food to arrived. The food came out in a timely manner considering there was quite a group of us and everyone (if I remember correctly) got what they ordered, no mistakes. I ordered the taco shell with grilled chicken and cheese only. It came out right. As I took a bite it was less than satisfactory. Like a lot less. The food just tasted gross, I don't know how else to describe it. I didn't enjoy my meal and only ate a few bites. I don't know how the people I was with felt about it, but me and my mom didn't like it. So I'm going to start this review by saying, I'm a frequenter at this store so I've been there a quite a lot. The service is consistent but there has been some minor annoyances that have happened(none more than 3-4 times however). The staff is fairly friendly but they always push you to get more and it's sort of annoying after you've already said "nah, I'm good on that second pitcher". The prices here are fairly standard and the food is good! Pros: nice staff, good food, the happy hour is my main draw, Monday through Friday from 5 to 8 Pm you can get beer pitchers for around 4.75 a piece and you get free salsa/chips with it! For a casual drink with friends or family, this is my go to. Cons: the staff can get sort of pushy and maybe even a bit too "friendly" if that makes sense. I'm just trying to eat, I don't want to hear some elaborate story that's irrelevant to me to make me feel like we're friends so I'll buy more shit bud. The food is a bit pricy but it is pretty tasty. The flies on the outside patio are super annoying, I'm not sure what they could do for this problem, but there are always flies outside on the patio section, it makes it pretty annoying to eat when the sun is beating down on you and 3-6 flies are constantly landing on your drinks/food. All in all, I'd recommend la Finca for anyone who wanted a great happy hour deal and with the free salsa, super awesome! read more

Food was great, came out quickly, service was awesome! The waitress told us her honest opinion on food when we asked for suggestions. She checked on us a couple of times and made sure we were ok. Chips were warm, salsa was good. My husband got a lunch fajita and side quesadilla, I got a steak quesadilla. The extra quesadilla was as big as mine. We asked for extra cheese, she brought us a small bowl to put on our quesadillas along with sour cream when requested-both with no additional charge. We stopped on a Sunday evening around 8:15pm. The posted hours state they close at 9pm but we were warmly welcomed. We're on a road trip and just in town for the night and felt like we were taking a gamble on where to eat. Most restaurants at this time of night looked pretty empty but when we pulled into La Finca the lot was pretty full which was encouraging. The salsa tasted fresh and was served in large bowls, the chips warm. Our entrees were the best tasting Mexican meals we've had in quite a while; and we enjoy our local Mexican restaurant quite often! Very impressed, very happy with our dining decision, very happily full (and prices were very reasonable too). read more

The service was bad and the food was bland. We were the only people in the restaurant for a while and no one checked on us unless we flagged them down. The queso dip and dinner I ordered had no added seasoning or spices and seemed like it was all premade. Decent Amerimex, and for the longest time, the only mexican joint in Morehead. Compared to other places in the region La Finca is on par, and the prices are good, about 8 to 12 dollars a person. They also have a decent bar in the back with (obviously) a good variety of tequilas and mexican imported beer on tap, but the place gets pretty rowdy on Thursdays and Fridays. read more
