The food was good and I would visit this place again if I were in the area. No complaints

Perhaps I'm being biased. We've attended since their initial opening. At one point we'd become so well acquainted with the staff that we had their Manager on our Facebook, haha. Pros: *Price: $30-45 (Family of 5 ~2 adults ~3 kids) *Environment: Such a positive and family-friendly environment. Staff were always quick to address our table for refills or ask if we needed anything else. *Manager: Very friendly, became well acquainted with our family and even asked if we wanted the "usual". *Food: Always crisp and well-cooked. Order the Quesadilla Ranchera with chicken. Offered a Kid's Menu amongst their selection. Everything I've tried on their menu has been great. Cons: *Staffing ~Staffing Shortage: They seem to be slightly understaffed which leads to a longer wait time to be seated. But once you're noticed, they're quick to attend to you. ~Staffing Change: Different staff lately, not the same family hospitality we had previously, but still very attentive to your needs. read more

I've eaten at this location as well as Greyson, and this will be my first NEGATIVE review. We came at 2 pm on a Saturday. The first problem was they were understaffed. We waited a long time to be seated. It wasn't because of limited seating, but because there was no one available to seat us. Next, for the same reason, it took a very long time for our orders to be taken. I love the beans and rice, so ordered side orders of each, along with a side of shredded cheese, to be put on one plate. I was disappointed at the meager amounts I received, on 3 different plates, served luke-warm. Hardly more than what you get served with an entree. Having to have to take it home to reheat in the microwave so it is hot kind of defeats the purpose of eating out. I don't think I will go back to the I've Hill location again. read more

We were traveling ack to Ashland on Friday night and decided to stop in for dinner. We went out of our way to get there because the website stated they were open until 10;30. We arrived at 9:20 and were that they had already closed, When I mentioned the website time, the server laughed and said 'one of these days, we need to change that' and walked away! We do a great deal of business with the locations in Ashland so this was a big eye opener as far as service. The food originally has been good but has went down recently. We will think twice when thinking about catering in the future, The building is fairly new but ambiance was lacking! read more

I had high hopes for this restaurant after I tasted their salsa and their refried beans, both which were pretty good. Sadly, it went downhill from there. I ordered Carne Asada...which puzzled my server and I had to point it out in the menu. Came fairly quickly and first I tried the beans...pretty good! Then I started in on the meat. Ugh. Absolutely tasteless. Tough. And lots and lots of fat...turned out to be at least 2/3 fat. See the 'before' and 'after' photos and you'll see the big pile of fat on my plate. I wasn't expecting truly authentic Mexican in Olive Hill, KY but I did expect quality food. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Our family loves Tres Hermanos, the food is always great and the service is always fast and friendly.

We stopped for lunch about1:30 pm.. a couple miles off I-64. Waiter Carlos got chips&salsa and drinks immediately !! Nice!! I ordered the lunch steak fajitas. In no time a sizzling fajitas was served...steak seared with lots of onion, bell peppers & mushroom!! With the sides it made for quite a filling lunch- nothing ( including salsa) has any spicy bite but note that I'm from NM where everything is spicy!! I would recommend a stop if you are hungry -tasty, good sized portions. Pleasant surprise off the interstate in rural KY!! read more

This is the Olive Hill location. I generally eat at the Grayson location. It was the Alpha Tres Hermanos. The franchise has caught on like gang busters and has a dozen or so franchises. It's the go-to restaurant in Grayson when treating your family or business dinner. They were one of the first restaurants that openly disobeyed the ridiculous Covid protocols in 2020 that essentially shut down many restaurants. In Grayson their 4th of July fireworks show usually vastly eclipses government sponsored fireworks show. The Nunez family has been a blessing to our community. That being said I guess I should justify giving them a 4/5. I seldom give 5s. I wish they had more waitresses and less waiters. I'm not use to being waited on by a guy who's tinier than me and could most assuredly kick the living crap out of me. More pretty senioritas for waitresses. read more

Food was OK, from a guy who likes authenticity and Mexican being one of my specialty's I was sad when my fish tacos came on a cold broken up tortilla. That means the cooks did not take their time cooking it. Speaking of which, once we ordered, our food came out rather quickly making it feel more like a fast food service then an actual restaurant. There were some good things I liked, beans, rice, guacamole. But for the most part the price seemed a little expensive for what they were offering. This town is small and beautiful so I am thankful that they do have a Mexican restaurant but to me, right now at this moment, it is only deserving of three stars. read more

Now we understand why everyone raves the Grayson location. Like the Ashland location, the food was lukewarm to cool. The hamburger on the tacos was way over seasoned. Service all together here is slow. No check ins during the meal and our drinks were getting low to empty. They waited until we were close to done to ask if we wanted drinks and then came and kept asking us how the meal was, after we were done. The nachos did not come with cheese on it, but on the side, which is very weird. We won't be coming back to this location. We waited over 15 minutes for the check and got tired of waiting and noticed other people were having to tell the waiters they wanted their check. read more

What a wonderful stop in Olive Hill, KY! We were greeted immediately at the door and seated with extremely friendly service. I ordered the Burrito Asada with tomatillo sauce - what a wonderful blend of flavors. My husband has Chili Rellenos which were among the best he ever had. If you're ever in this area of Kentucky, stop in for a wonderful meal. Shout out to Carlos for spending time with my husband conversing in Spanish! read more

We live in California and were excited to try the new Mexican restaurant in Olive Hill while we were visiting family. The food, while not exactly the same as what we get in CA, was pretty good. I did think some things were over-salted, beyond what you normally get in restaurant food. On my plate, it was the beans and grilled chicken. The cheese sauce, while not a very authentic Mexican ingredient, was tasty. My husband loves chile verde and has had it all over California and Mexico. He thought this restaurant's version of the sauce was mediocre, but the pork was very good. I'm sure we'll come back when we visit again! read more
