The gym is nice and big can be crowded. I had picked this gym because they have child care. We would go to another location and never had any problems. The second we come to this one and every time we were there the caregiver had an issue. My kids are 3 and 4 one has autism. My kids are kids not justifying if they are not behaving yes I will talk to them. But getting comments on well its no much for me. (mind you its just one kid or 2 kids at most). And then talking to management about it and honestly felt completely dismissed and her saying we are not professionals in medical problems. Don't waste your time or energy here. read more

I signed up for a free 3 day trial pass. I used one day and the other two days I could not come. I asked the trainer if I could come on Monday. He said yes, and I even got a confirmation text to come in at 8:30am. I came in the day of the appointment at 8:10am. The woman at the front desk was very rude in telling me that my 3 day pass had expired and I needed to wait to talk with them. I even showed her my appointment to use the gym at 8:30am. She said the trainers do not come in at that time. So why did I get the appointment and why couldn't I just go work out? She was very rude and made it seem like I was doing something wrong so I left. And I will not be back either. I think the front desk staff need to be better educated bc she didn't even know they offered a 3 days pass. read more

I have been a member of the club for a little more than a year. When I first started I scheduled some time with a personal training. I did that for maybe 5-6 weeks. I realized. 8 months later that they continue to charge my credit card $200 a month for personal training. Shame on me for not watching my account closer. I have tried and tried to get them to stop these charges to no avail. Finally, I had to cancel my debit card and they have the gonads to call me seeking payment and notified me that they would be charging me a late fee!!!! They closed their Burnsville location probably because the rent there was higher than they wanted so rather than increase membership or taking their time to find a new location they close it abruptly and out of bottom line greed and start funneling all those gym members now into one location so people have to wait 20 minutes sometimes for a bench press. This club (Apple Valley, MN gym) sucks. I will quit this club next week. The club closed at 8 pm. this evening (August 17, 2024) I was in the shower and an Employee (Rachel) turned off the lights in the men's shower and in the men's locker room. She said it was a "respect thing". I hope she treated the women the same out of EQUAL RESPECT! Rachel should be fired...and pronto. She was mad that she didn't get out of the club on time. SHE NEEDS TO REALIZE THAT when you turn off the lights in the men's locker room, you can't even see your padlock TO UNLOCK it. I could not GET My CLOTHES, wallet or phone. They were locked in the locker. I HAD NO SOURCE OF LIGHT. But for a fellow patron, I would still be there. I was out by 8:10 pm despite Rachcel's stunt to teach about 20-30 patrons "respect". Funny isn't it. Doesn't seem like the most respectful thing to do to a bunch of customers....put them in the dark and then yell at them while they leave. I was amazed that this young woman was so full of hate. Not only was her action totally disrespectful, Rachel also exposed the club to a large legal liability. Can you imagine the lawsuit if one of the patrons had slipped and fallen after the lights had intentionally been turned off! One fellow was a 67 year old man and she knew it. I have had many issues with this club over the past 10 years, but this is the last straw. Goodbye to the worst club around. One of the best commercial gyms I've belonged too. The staff are friendly, the cleaning crew does their best, and the General Manager Micah is always friendly and helpful. One of the things I like about this gym is the large amount of windows, which give it an open and bright atmosphere. There is nothing like a cheery and bright atmosphere to help provide positive energy - which this gym always has and is so motivating! The new multi million dollar renovation has also helped to make this gym a show-stopper in the local area. From new cardio equipment, to a renovated layout of the weight machines and the careful placement of the free weight equipment, to new flooring, paint, plus more - has brought added value to each members membership here. For the value you get from having a membership here, one absolutely cannot beat their membership prices. I encourage all to look into a membership at this gym. Several of my friends go to Lifetime and pay $60+ for a monthly membership. Most only use the free weight equipment too, which is a large expense for a gym membership when you could be saving money and still working with great equipment. If there is a con to be said, it would be the locker room bathrooms and showers. Clogged toilets from toilet paper and clogged shower drains from hair, those are my two largest discrepancies with this gym. However, the staff does do their very best to keep these two areas clean. I always see staff members going around and cleaning the gym and picking up paper towels on the floor and more. So they are doing their job and working - which is great to see. It's hard when some members aren't the cleanest and can't even clean up after themselves. Some people are slobs and for that, the cleaning crew does their best. My wife and I needed a gym that was close to our house, included daycare, and had enough things to keep us active and busy. LA Fitness checked all of the boxes for us. LA Fitness has multiple weight machines, free weights, treadmills, bikes, a swimming pool, hot tub, etc. There is something for everyone. There are also weekly events and trainings that you can jump in and try something new. My wife and I have tried a few of the pool programs and have had a good time. Locker rooms and showers are kept pretty clean and the staff at the front are always prompt and friendly. I especially apprecitate that their trainers are respectful and do not hound you to buy their services. I hated that at other gyms that I have been a member at. From reading older reviews, I think a lot of the problems that have happened at this location in the past have been fixed. I also need to give a shoutout to the daycare area. The staff learned my children's names the first day and are very nice and sweet to our kids. You can use their services for two hours daily and it is so nice to be able to drop the kiddos off and focus on working out instead of worrying about them and if they are doing OK. It isn't the most stylish or luxurious gym but it is very affordable (cheaper for us than Snap or Anytime, and way cheaper than Lifetime), clean, great variety and finally close to our home so there is little to no excuse to not get out and work out. read more

This place is so dirty, it should be shut down. The bathrooms are extremely gross! The bathroom stalls have brown and white stains all over the walls. The toilet paper dispensers are covered with stains. I hope I don't get sick from the awful conditions. The equipment is so old and filthy too. Pretty average health club but one of the few in the area with a pool. They try to get you to sign a release of liability when you join without allowing you to read it first. I had to call over a couple of managers to get them to print it out for me to read (I am a lawyer) and when they did they gave me the wrong one while insisting it was the correct one. I was finally able to get the correct one after much effort. Like most health clubs, they load the place with exercise machines but don't allow much area for stretching afterwards. They have two stretching machines which they tuck underneath the stairs as that is the only place they can't fit another type of machine and they are almost never used. This leads to injuries. You should really devote as much time to after exercise stretching as you do to the workout but virtually no one does this. During the current pandemic, no one in the club other than myself wore a mask, not even the staff, unless they were under an order from the Governor. As a result I am not going back until the pandemic is over. This pertains to the Apple Valley club in Minnesota. read more

They hung up on me when I subscribed for a 5-day pass. On Tuesday, September 21 at 11:35 AM I received a phone call from a male employee asking me when I'm coming in - I responded that I didn't know because it largely depends on my work schedule. I can't pinpoint exactly when I'll be there. That wasn't good enough - he kept pressing me because apparently they have to "activate" things. It should just be a simple process. I told him that approach won't work with my schedule and that I'll come in when my schedule allows me to, not when it's convenient for him. Aaand he hung up. The gym itself is adequately equipped for basic workouts. However, there are three major issues with this location: 1. Theft/Safety - There are locker and car break-ins all the time at this gym; 2. Clientele - I'm not a snob but there are a lot of undesirables who hang around this gym and it's hard to know who is there to workout v. who is there with shady intentions (see #1) 3. Cleanliness - This location had never invested in custodial staffing. They usually have one person trying to keep up with hundreds of patrons in a large space. Go to any major gym of this size and you will see they have a custodial team (i.e. multiple people). Instead, this gym is front office heavy with desk clerks, sales reps, and trainers who are too busy socializing and texting to attend to actual clients or help keep the building clean I do not recommend this gym. If cost is a concern, you are better off at Snap or Anytime Fitness. If budget is not a concern, go to Lifetime. read more

Pretty much what everyone else says, the front desk staff is borderline incompetent and very rude. I joined not that long ago, my first experience with the front desk staff is that they are more concerned with playing on their smart phones then they are with answering questions or scanning you in. I had a gentleman that stared at his phone the entire time I asked him questions on who to meet to sign up for a membership. From the looks of it, he was a personal trainer that wasn't meeting with clients. Gee, I can't imagine why a guy like that doesn't have more clients? The facility is second rate. Smaller gyms have updated equipment. No Arc Trainers. Old ellipticals. Old treadmills. Simply put, I signed up because it comes out to $20/mo. after 10 months and I get nationwide use. Other locations are nicer in terms of layout and staff. The guys that sign you up for memberships are solid. I've just had way too many bad run-ins with the front desk staff, and it ranges from men to women too. I feel like no one outside of the sales people get customer training here. read more

The customer service here is horrendous. A staff member threatened to kick my family member out of the club for having a small drawstring bag, saying they were worried about my family member stealing their workout equipment. My family member explained that they did not have a lock to store their bag in a locker and the staff were not understanding nor accommodating. The staff told my family member to "figure it out or get out of the facility." I understand places need to enforce their policies but it was a bit too far if you ask me. I'm ok scanning my own ID. But if I'm having trouble, Its pretty irritating to watch the person who's supposed to be running that area, chit chatting with other loafing employees roll here eyes like I'm an idiot, and slowly bother to get up to help and walk back to her station. I use a gym for basically two activities - indoor cycling during the winter time and swimming. So let's look at how La Ftiness Apple Valley measures up in these two regards. First off, the gym at this facility is very large and if I was still a weightlifter I would love it. The locker rooms are clean, the showers decent, and the snack bar is awesome - yay Daisy! OK, to the bike. I have ridden the upright exercise bikes exactly once and it was ridiculously painful to my man parts. Until they went numb, that is. As you can see in the attached picture, some misandrist came up with a seat design that is incredibly unfriendly to a male's anatomy. Perhaps these seats are meant for women....... To the pool. If you look on LA Fitness' website you will find a description for Aquafit, their group water aerobics class. You will read that the temperature of the water is 80 degrees, which is a nice temp for swimming. Slightly cool when you get in, and very tolerable at high intensity workouts. A few years ago LA Fitness Apple Valley used to have cool water like this. Not now. At best you will find it tolerable for swimming and at worst it is bath water. Apple Valley's policy is to keep the water between 82 and 84 degrees, per an email I received from them. They are obsessed with wasting money keeping this pool needlessly warm, likely to appease the large populace of members whose workout is to grab a noodle and talk to their friends for an hour, burning as few calories as possible, thus needing external heat to make their workout comfy. If you are a lap swimmer and thinking of buying a membership here for that reason, avoid this gym. Don't bother. If you want to stand in a large, expensively heated bathtub and talk to someone about your latest coupon finds, you have found your home. read more

I've been a member here for far too long. It's cheap and that's why I've stayed, but it's other characteristics are reasons I've stayed away. My son recently wanted to join a fitness club, so this was our cheapest choice again. Now that I'm back, I'm reminded of the negatives - Equipment that's broken down and/or filthy Staff that can't be bothered to greet you, at best. Locker rooms that are disgusting - including the clientele - quit clearing your nostrils in the shower, quit playing your music on your phone so that everyone has to listen to your crappy playlist, quit making a general mess and not picking it up. Normally, that last part would make me madder because you're making a mess that someone else has to pick up, but the jokes on the rest of us, because NO ONE PICKS UP here. Does anyone know how to operate a vacuum around here?????? I had the worst experience in this gym. I went in and they said at $40 a month i can have gym membership and i can bring my kids over anytime because they will give me biweekly guest passes. The guest passes was suppose to be for two weeks. When i would call the guy that i signed up for for guest passes, i wouldnt receive so i had to call about four times for him to get my email address correct and to remind him to send the guest passes. I complaint and it didnt help any. I asked for a refund and got rid of my membership. It took them 4 months and about 15 calls and texts for them to send me all my refund. I used to go to Lifetime Fitness and the reasons why I switched were because 1) it was twice as expensive at LTF and it was a "single gym membership" and 2) I hated the pressure I got from the trainers to sign up for their training sessions/groups any time I went near them... LA Fitness is 1/2 the price AND you have access to multiple gyms across the nation. The trainers also don't bother you ;) Out of all the LA Fitness gyms around me, Apple Valley is the one that I frequent most. The staff are friendly and always greet you when you come in. My favorite part of the Apple Valley LA Fitness is all the windows that allow sun to shine through them - for some reason the light coming through just makes me happier and more motivated to work out haha. However, AV is smaller than other LA Fitnesses I've been to which makes it hard to do a complete workout during busier times in the gym. I wish there was just one more squat rack... I can deal with the size of the gym but my main complaint is that it's not very clean - especially the bathrooms/locker rooms. The floors are always wet and the toilets are either filled with toilet paper or clogged. I will continue to come to this gym for convenience and the price is reasonable considering it has everything I need to workout. read more

I have been a member two separate times to this particular location. The first time around I was much younger. The price is right (30 a month) but the customer service is beyond terrible. I don't need much, but a simple "hey how's it going?" While you awkwardly scan your own ID card, would be nice. The personal trainers (with the exception of a few, the woman, and the tall guy with black hair) the rest I've encountered are very pushy, and even creepy. This review is mostly for swimmers. There is nothing wrong with the water in the pool. Just the right temperature - in fact if not a little warm. So I wouldn't pay too much attn to a couple earlier reviews. There are four lanes. I came here as a guest on a holiday Sunday. Lanes were fairly open. Water felt good - not too much chlorine or anything. Now, where the pool falls down is: first, there aren't any lane finish flags - so if you want to swim backstroke you are pretty much guessing the first ten laps and couple bruises on your forearms. Second, the pool doesn't have kickboards and pull buoys. That is surprising to me. The Burnsville Y has all of that, and the challenge there is lane availability due kids activities (also four swim lanes). Then small things you would expect from a medium-end fitness place are missing: towels are not available; the person at the front desk couldn't care less that I was a customer (Was checking his phone, and in between texts with his girlfriend struggled to process my credit card payment and missed an incoming call); doesn't have a sports drink vending machine (?! Missed opportunity!) Other than that, open space. Decent place. I paid 15 green for a guest pass. I would have been more satisfied if I paid 10. read more

I have patronized the Apple Valley LA Fitness for many years ,since Bally's went and sold off 80% of their gyms, .I know something of their plans to expand to 24 hr/7 day schedule,if they can find the workers,or staff! .I mainly use it when I am in the neighborhood ,2-3 times a week,though with gas prices its open, closer ones will do. It has an exceptional pool ,which I use for laps,and has some good machines,to use and bikes,which I use for my workout. Though I recently saw a not so hygienic sight in the shower stall ,where it seems someone left a ''load ''in the stall. I never seen that in 20 years of attending gyms,and would say there are some slippage in the wheels of the facility to not take this as just disrespect and outright insolence to even contemplate doing such a deed. I am sort of suspect ,that this is not an isolated incident ?,there maybe some who have a grudge against the facility.I do know the ''loose''arrangement of having everybody come in and say they are on a ''card'' ? .I know through eavesdropping at the front desks,that the ''free workout''has been curtailed ,or even cancelled. I have probably felt that the 50% who pay for their membership ,is keeping the Gyms open ? . Anyway I do wish to acknowledge .signs do not make a dent on solving problems ,when it comes to hygiene .though this may be all the managers can do . Though in perspective .i will proceed aand as others ? should ,with caution in those shower stalls ,which it seems folks are wantonly leaving behind garments and debris ! as if they cannot pick up after themselves. You get what you pay for.....I usually go early in the morning and you'd think it's all nice and clean, right?....eh NO. The cleaning staff will be working around you !!!!! Why cant they just clean after the facility closes? The sauna is disgusting.....some people use it after their workout ( in their sweaty clothes and shoes on the benches), others after their shower/swim....I don't think the floor has been cleaned in AGES. I will not even attempt to use the hot tub.....the water looks like it's not been changed for a while! Enter at your own risk. It has pretty much every type of machine you could think of, along with a pool, racquet ball courts, saunas, group classes etc. There's really something for everyone! I've used the pool several times and I've never had a problem with the temperature like I've read in other reviews. This is going to be long! My Hubby was a member of LA Fitness in the cities and when we moved to Apple valley he bought me an 18 month membership so we could go together. First tour the staff was pretty nice..talked him into buying me some personal training so we sat down with one of the reps and signed up for 6 months of sessions. We went a few times, always seemed a couple machines were broken down but people rotated off the others pretty quickly. Decided to use one of my personal training sessions and was recommended a certain trainer. Came in for my session and was talked down to the ENTIRE time! He told me the only way I would reach my goals is if I bought the supplements that he sold outside of work, as well as coming in at least 3 times a week to train with him. He was so incredibly rude and disgusting that I filed a complaint. When I talked to the manager that recommended him, he told me that he was hoping I would write to HQ to turn the trainer in because they were having so many issues with him! Why would you recommend him then????? After being completely humiliated by the trainer and then told I was set up for a horrible session I was extremely disappointed and feeling like a fat lump with all of my motivation crushed. Waited a while to go back because I felt that horrible about myself. Finally went back and after working out set up another training session because I wasn't going to let some jerk get me down. I was running late by a couple minutes for my session and when I got there no one knew where my new trainer was..I had never met him so didn't know who I was looking for. Finally find him and he lectures me on being on time and tells me I owe him 10 push ups for every minute I am late.....wait..is this military? I explain to him that, that isn't happening and we can start my training session. So we get started and he notices that my one knee has scars from surgery, which I notified him of..and starts trying to correct the way I walk/sit/stand. I tell him that I literally can't do what he is asking. So he looks and tells me that my one leg is longer than the other from the surgeries and that when I step I should do it a certain way..as he is telling me to do it my knee gives out a little and I feel a sharp pains I tell him and he brushes it off. I left there annoyed and sore, got home and my knee is swelling a little so I ice it. Next day my knee is killing me so I call the Dr and get in a couple days later. Dr does a cortisone shot and it feels better until it wears off. Go in for an MRI and the cartilage is torn from walking and stepping wrong...NICE! So I was the lucky recipient of an OATS procedure (not a fun surgery). Called the manager and he brushed me off completely. THEN to top it off, we quit going because the trainers are complete creeps and awful! My friend and I were walking on treadmills and all the sales/trainers were sitting in a line watching all the girls run/walk on treadmills..so creepy! Machines were getting worse and always broken.. They billed me for 12 months of training instead of 6 and wouldn't refund it. When I showed them the paper I signed they said their copy was different..complete sham! I posted this on the Burnsville LA Fitness page as well since this post is regarding an employee that they send to other gyms instead of terminating. The gym itself is wonderful. Just enough equipment to satisfy those who are amateur lifters, and plenty of equipment for those interested in cardio workouts. The classes they offer are free with membership and amazing. However, I recently stopped going to the Burnsville gym, a gym that I have loved for 8 years, due to their assistant manager. I submitted a job application when I was 19 years old, because I loved the idea of working in a place where I grew up. One day when I was leaving the assistant manager, Harley, stopped me and asked me if I was over the age of 18 (He was 24). I told him yes and then left the gym. As I was getting into my car I noticed he added me on social media. I added him back thinking it was regarding the job, but he quickly made it clear to me that he was interested in dating me. I was shocked that he used my job application to search for my social media accounts, and so I asked him if he was allowed to date clients. He told me that he was the boss and he could do what he wanted. I decided to accept his invitation for a date, but he blew me off, so I decided not to pursue it any further. However, he did not accept my rejection. He blew up my phone with calls and texts. When I blocked him, he followed me around the gym until I finally talked to him. We dated for a few months. Every time I wanted to end things he would harass me and stalk me at the gym. I didn't want to leave the gym I had been going to since I was a little girl so his emotional manipulation continued. I finally decided to end things and switch gyms in December. I was going to push it to the back of my mind and forget it ever happened until I discovered that I was not the only woman that Harley was with. I couldn't believe the number of women I discovered. So I decided to file a complaint with HR, because his treatment of women is disgusting. I sent evidence of the text messages he sent to HR and described the stalking that occurred at the gym. I cried on the phone. I am shaking as I type this. I refuse to let what happened to me happen to other vulnerable women. We come to workout, not be harassed by staff at the gym. My main concern was his access to my personal information. He uses the private information of clients to secure dates and it's awful. I am a nurse. If I did what he did, I'd be fired. I could not be informed about HR's actions because of legal reasons, but I know he was not terminated. He informed me that he has been in trouble with the club before. I am unsure what for, but it was enough to have him transferred from the Apple Valley gym to the Burnsville gym (He recently returned to Apple Valley after threatening to find a different job). I think termination is the only way to protect other women who go to this gym. He has been switched to the Apple Valley location, but I am too embarrassed to return to the Burnsville location because of those who witnessed the events. He is currently telling everyone who will listen that I am a liar, and I am paranoid every time I enter a LA facility. I am currently looking for other gyms, because I do not think I can continue to associate myself with a gym that retains employees who harass women. I don't think their response to his actions was enough. I was informed HR disciplined him, but the lack of explanation makes me doubt the effectiveness. They removed my address from my file, but to my knowledge he can still use my account to find out what gym I go to and when. He takes steroids and his emotions are volatile. He jokes about the people he's beat up. I jump every time I see a white truck outside the gym. I am trying tell myself that it's okay, but it doesn't feel like it. I keep telling myself he would never use my information to come find me, but I don't always believe it. They talked to the people at the Burnsville gym about my embarrassment, but they just don't get it. One of the personal trainers follows around any girl who flirts with him throughout the facility, not to mention an angry young woman who throws your key at you after she scans your card. It's beyond me why they don't put the scanner on the desk so patrons can scan themselves in, instead of paying these counterproductive employees from irritating clients. Poorly maintained facility. Hard water stain and mold all over the showers. I will not step into the showers unless I absolutely have to. I would not recommend this facility. The one in Burnsville is a tad bit better. read more

This location is an absolute pit, staffed by a mixture of people ranging from the sincerely nice (rare) to the completely indifferent (common). It smells, and the stench in the locker room is particularly overwhelming. It is dirty. The garbage cans are often overflowing with paper towels wadded up on the floor in the locker room. It has posters from the Apple Valley police department warning you about theft because it is such a problem there. There are often out of order signs on equipment for extended periods of time, including water fountains. I only maintained my membership there because it does give you access to equipment at a decent price, but recent circumstances have allowed me to switch to Lifetime, which is like walking into paradise compared to this place. I will summarize with a walkthrough of a typical session: 1) Parking lot - poorly maintained in the winter, usually have to walk through slush and ice. 2) Front desk - staff is usually too busy texting to greet me, and I scan myself in. 3) Entryway - In the winter, mats are perpetually stained with salt and the floor is crusty. 4) Locker room - During the times when I can't avoid using it, I avoid breathing as much as possible because of the stench, and I refuse to use the bathroom because I don't care to track urine home on the bottom of my shoes. 5) Sauna - Cramped, and usually has at least one or two people in there talking on their phones or listening to their headphones so loud I can hear every word, or worse, doing sit ups. 6) Equipment - Outdated, lower end cardio equipment that is barely commercial grade. Padding on the weight machines is worn/cracked on several pieces of equipment. 7) Exit - Usually the front desk staff treat me with the same level of indifference upon leaving as they demonstrated when I arrived. read more

So I came in here to check out memberships yesterday and I know most gyms will hound you to join and all they wanna do is fake it to sell you but honestly here yea they sell you but they are honest and really chill! I was extremely comfortable around everyone and joking around it was honestly refreshing. I feel so bad I forgot his name but he's the assistant club manager (today is his last day and he apparently lives in the same apartments I do) he's awesome! He really helped my man and I get great memberships that fit our budget and I think her name was Valerie or Vanessa (I'm so bad at names) but she's taking over his position, she's awesome! She answered all my questions and showed me around and even offered to be a workout partner which is what really sold me because everyone who works there will actually be there to help when you need it and that's amazing. I did my assessment with a personal trainer (I'm really hoping I have his name right) Caleb? He was very helpful and taught me what I was doing wrong and pushed me just enough but not overkill and was able to joke around and laugh with which is resale cool he's not in your face about it which is something I think works best for me and really interested either in adding on their personal training to help my goals and on top of that Val (trainer manager I'm assuming) was really awesome and worked out an affordable package with me and the payment options I really did appreciate. We joined on March 1 of this year because I was interested in weight training in addition to my current fitness routine. Our last day at this gym will be May 27th, after that, we will be Lifetime Fitness members (again, why we chose this over that for a return to the gym is beyond me). I literally cannot workout without some creepy, disgusting guy interrupting my workout and playlist to ask me my name, tell me I'm beautiful or come up with some other equally cheesy bs line. IT'S RUDE, It's ballsy and it's UNACCEPTABLE, and you would think at some point the jerks would all talk and make note to avoid the redhead at all costs.... The trainers, though I have not had a personal training session (thank goodness), lack any kind of passion. They look at their client like they're the biggest dumb@$$ on the planet and continue checking their texts while the client is half-@$$ing a set on a machine that is going to get them nowhere close to their goals (whatever those are, it doesn't matter because they're not going to hit them with the help from these guys). I watched a trainer in amazing shape attempt to get two obese clients into a plank, with horrible form and then tell them to try again when they couldn't hold it for x amount of time. (How about: modification, work on form and work up to the perfect plank!) The front desk staff couldn't give two you-know-what's about anyone coming or going. I have been greeted and/or thanked a total of TWO times (and I am there 6 days a week....) Once was by the maintence guy who happened to be at the front desk, the other was from the aforementioned trainer who also happened to be hanging out up there when I left. You get what you pay for, but I didn't expect rude and incompetent staff in a breeding ground for sleezy hornball meatsticks with no manners. read more

Honestly the worst gym I have ever been to. I have been a member at all different types of clubs and I currently go to the LA in uptown and I thought that place was bad. But seriously, who doesn't offer wifi to their members. It's 2015, we can send pictures from Pluto for crying out loud. It smell, it's hot, the front desk workers are not very helpful. They also only have small community tv.. I cannot comment on the classes because I have not been to one here and I never will because I'm not coming back. read more

I visited the Apple Valley LA Fitness a few times (they usually offer a few visits free) when I was deciding which gym to join (I ended up joining Life Time). The gym floor was nice with a good selection of equipment. And, membership fees are lower than that of a Life Time Fitness. But, I didn't have the same wow factor as with Life Time... I just didn't feel "connected." read more
