So I really thought LA Fitness in Brickell Miami would blow my mind... I couldn't have been more disappointed. I was allowed a 24 hour guest pass and the trainer that showed me around let me know that this place was never packed. I can see why! The equipment was old and some the machines I used had rust on them. The place smelled like sweat and stale farts. The water bottle fill up stations and water fountains had no water pressure. Literally dribbles of water. I decided to check out the men's locker room and bathrooms. The locker rooms were pretty clean but the bathrooms were disgusting with trash everywhere. For 50$ a month. I would not get a membership here. read more

My brother who usually can get in under his friends account because he's a guest under his acc, of course the one day he comes with me to this gym he's not able to. thanks to Some bald guy with glasses named Carlos. I mean seriously, we can get into any other gym with it but now there's a problem at this one? Makes no sense! Another time I came I tried to bring my friend and sent her a VIP guest pass. wouldnt let her in, instead tried to sell her a member ship at way more than a usual member ship was, some woman with black hair, short. The WORST LA Fitness, not sure how this is a signature location. The bathrooms are and showers are disgustingterrible with the staff is rude besides the cleaners and it's gotten worse. Had a friend do a 3 day trial with text confirmation from a Roder Martinez, General Manager (that was suppose to be 'Free') he still paid $20 and was told the following day when he returned they don't honor 3 day trials anymore. Suggested it only cause it was convenient to where he lived, but dodged a bullet because I advised him not to join. read more

I've been a member of this gym for about a year now, after relocating from the Washington DC area. As someone who travels frequently for work, I've visited numerous LA Fitness locations across the country, including some of the least maintained ones. In comparison, this location stands out as a solid choice. It's worth noting that I've never encountered an LA Fitness Signature gym without a 2-hour free parking limit. This is consistent with locations in Maryland, Chicago, and Beverly Hills, which are all situated in areas where parking garages are the primary option. I try to arrive early, as it tends to get crowded--though that's typical for gyms in Miami, where staying fit is a priority. This gym offers all the essential amenities, except for a pool, and it includes towel service like other Signature locations, which is especially convenient for sauna use and maintaining hygiene. I've never seen the bathrooms unclean. They are regularly maintained by a friendly staff member who seems to take pride in his work, which is a definite advantage for members. I did deduct one star due to the number of members who don't re-rack their weights. I've rarely seen so many people neglect this basic gym etiquette. While I've had friendly interactions with other members, it's frustrating to see how many seem to disregard the importance of cleaning up after themselves, as if the world revolves around them. Overall, it's a good gym. Like any other, it gets crowded during peak hours, so I recommend visiting early in the morning or later in the evening if you prefer a quieter experience. read more

In town for work. I was staying at the W but gym was being renovated. The front desk referred me to the LA Fitness Signature gym. When I got to the gym, I registered for a 3-day pass. The front desk staff and manager were very friendly and got me through the process quickly so I could get to workout. There is an abundance of equipment from free weights, (5-125lbs), machines and cardio. There is also a smoothie bar and drinks for sale. I'd recommend this place. I subtracted one star because a few areas (locker room and free weights) need to be refreshed. read more

Gym manager Roder goes around trying to close the gym 3-5 min early everytime he works and then tells customers to "hurry up" right at 9:59 or 10pm. And a separate female staff member refuses to give her name and then says she doesn't work there even though she's behind the desk. I asked him to please stop closing the gym early when walking out at 10pm and he yelled at me, cussed, threatened to call police, threatened to cancel my membership. I then asked for the GM email/number and was told they can't give out her personal info (business number/email is not personal). Is this a joke??? A manager cannot really act like that at a workplace. I already left a negative review on Google reviews but since the Corporate Office somehow replied to my complaint with a non-sincere apology and instead reminding me of gym closing time (I left on time) I am leaving a negative review on this platform as well. I expect to be treated in a professional and respectful manner at a premium gym. This is not Planet Fitness. The doors close at 10pm, customers then leave in an orderly manner and should not be personally rushed out until at least 5 min after closing (10:05pm). read more

The air conditioning is always broken, weights scattered all over, all of the machines are rusted or broken.

They ran out of towels today and shut the lights off in the men's locker room at 6:50 p.m. and the gym closes at 7 p.m. on Sundays. This is the brickell Miami location. read more

So excited to be able to put my gym membership to use while I'm traveling in a different city. Needless to say it was my first time visiting this location of LA fitness. They gym was on the smaller side, occupying the top floor section of a shopping complex, instead of its own building. Must've been because of its print location in downtown Miami. Nonetheless, I had everything I needed to get a full body workout in (4 bench presses, 3 squat racks, and a panoply of weight machines). It wasn't crowded at all when we went on a Sunday morning. I also liked the smoothie bar at the front where you can get a protein shake pre or post-workout. Kind of wished my home gym had one of these. read more

All these people complaining about this location must not have ever been to an actual 'rundown' gym...but what do you expect from people in Miami ‍ This LA Fitness is awesome, the front desk staff was very helpful, the equipment is CLEAN and seems to be relatively new, the bathrooms were spotless!! The free weight space was a little crowded but we did visit at 11am on a Saturday! This location is amazing, it's so nice being able to look out while doing cardio and see into the little courtyard. read more

The LA Fitness facility in Mary Brickell Village is a good buy for what membership costs. The buzz kill is its location. Mary Brickell Village is managed by KimcoRealty.com. They are horrible. These elevators never work. If they work only two of them do which causes delays and crowding in the elevator. This back door is unlocked which makes the stairs unsafe. And all these stairs smell like a zoo. to make matters worse AdmiralSecurity.com is paid to be the on premise security service - their people are on their phones/not doing scheduled walk arounds/etc. Clearly not safe for women. read more

This must be the most lazily maintained gym I have ever been to.. no less than 4 employees standing around on their phones while the weights are all over the place.. it's 9am on a Tuesday and they are everywhere. I don't believe for a second that they re-rack the weights here even once a week. I went to talk to the manager.. and surprise surprise.. she was sitting at her desk on the phone. I don't know what's the extra premium of paying for the signature club. There is no free parking to start with and there is no basketball court nor swimming pool like some of the regular LA fitness in Miami. I just think is a ripped off just because the gym is located in Brickell. read more

Security and the manager professionalism is poor in this place. I had a situation where I felt overwhelmed with someone who was playing games around the machines I was using. I confronted this dude just asking if he wanted to use the same machine I was using to what he replied no. I had to eventually stand up and go in harder to see what he wanted, went up to the front desk and we spoke with Lorena, who cares NOTHING about us the gym users.This guy was American, I'm proudly latino, so I leave it to your imagination... She was naive, didn't pay attention to the situation and solved nothing. For what I've seen in the reviews her she as a manager does no even care about what's been said about her work. I agree she's better off in the back of the gym house having a coffee, anyways she's not doing anything so it would be the same. read more

This review is for the Brickell Village Signature club. It's unfortunate that management doesn't take pride in their club. This location Is filthy! At the bare minimum when you walk in first thing in the morning, the club should be clean and weights should be put away from the night before. As it is now, when you walk in you see used towels, dirty paper towels and weights all over the floor. Maybe they're short staffed? I did not enjoy going to this gym. I have been travelling and been to a lot of different LA Finesses gyms throughout my travels for work, and this one is on the bottom tier. 1. I had to pay for parking. They validate it to make it cheaper, but I am already paying a premium to go to this gym so why should I pay to park? Plus, the rate increases by hour so now I have extra pressure to do my workout quicker, even though there are so many people hogging machines to make it longer? 2. The operational manager left at 8PM on Friday- when the gym closes at 10PM- so I could not talk to them about my membership, and they would not be back until Monday. This is a complete lack of professionalism and accountability, not to mention poor representation. 3. The dumbbells' were in terrible disarray every time I am there. The only good thing is that this gym has a working smoothie/concessions stand, which is one of the only I have encountered. read more

I've visited the LA fitness facility at Mary Brickell Village twice this week. I went in because my insurance provides membership as a benefit. At first I wasn't sure they were too interested in me because I wasn't going to be a paying member. However, once I finally got someone's attention and signed up, a lovely woman named Yania welcomed me and scheduled me for an evaluation. She gave me a full tour and answered all of my questions. Today I went back for my evaluation and she made the whole process very easy and pleasant. She gave me all the time I needed and did a thorough report. Yania put together a very comprehensive plan for me, so good that I'll be going in more often than I thought. Once I start my program, I'll do another review. But so far, given my experience, I recommend the facility. read more

This place should be called LA Fitness Dirty Club. Air conditioning is broken quite often; the entire place smells like dirty laundry. One who dares to enter the restrooms should wear a hazmat suit; urine stench; papers on the floor; dirty towels, etc. The cycling area's air conditioning is broken most of the time; the floor is sticky and sweat spots and spills are evident; the mirrors are also dirty. Management doesn't seem to care since the club is packed at peak times full of folks like me that are stuck with a membership. You get what you pay for...once my membership expires; it's over! Visiting for a convention, this was close to my AirBnB. The place is pretty big and was quite crowded! I have never seen an LAFitness so crowded. The equipment and decor was standard but they had a large training area that was blocked off with interesting fake grass. There were people with animals (presumably PTSD dogs) which was a little unusual. Everyone was polite and did their own routines and worked in with each other. I was feeling extra special and got a protein shake at their bar, unfortunately they gave me a very thin styrofoam cup and when I picked it up to drink it the whole cup tore and the shake started spilling out. I ran back to get another supporting cup and the employee seemed confused, didn't offer help or another shake, I salvaged what I could and used a gym towel to sop up a half table full of shake. read more

It's a very clean and new looking Signature LA fitness. The classes are pretty good, they have a wide assortment of spinning, yoga and Zumba. The feel is definitely better than the regular L.A. Fitness. Since it's signature you get towels. However, the facility is limited as it does not have a pool, basketball, racquetball or kids club. You also have to pay for parking unless you live nearby and can walk. It does the job if you live in the area and are looking for a basic gym. I feel it's pretty fair for the price and the location. That's why I'm giving it 3-stars. read more
