After joining they closed the pool and hot tub- they closed the spin cycle room and switched to a Pilates room which you need to pay extra for- they rent out the yoga room to an outside Physical therapy group for a large part of the day and they closed the child care center. They don't consistently maintain the equipment - when things break the repair can take an extensive period of time. All of this with no change in the membership fees. So... this place is a disappointment in a lot of ways. I'm very glad I came in on a guest pass and didn't get a membership. This place is OLD. Like, falling apart old. The machines are slightly rusty, the cushions on the machines are ripped, and a lot of the cardio machines are imbalanced and noisy. Even the graphics on the wall are 20+ years old. Everything about this place feels worn down, cheap, and uninspiring. Doesn't help that they've completely closed their pool and their kids club, basically shutting down half the entire building out of cheapness. The whole place feels like it's about to go out of business. Despite the above, this place is crowded, and not in a fun way. Well-designed gyms don't feel crowded even when they are. The facility has not been maintained for years. When a machine breaks down they put a sign on it that it is scheduled for service and it never gets fixed. The cycle studio has been closed. The pool has been closed. Often there is no one at the front desk or someone at the front desk with ear buds who doesn't look up from his phone. The exhaust fan in the toilet room has not worked for years but you can tell that it once did because the grille is covered with dust. Mold in the showers. Shower heads installed were the cheapest available and original ones are still there. Mirror in the aerobics studio has been broken for months and not replaced. They used to offer many classes and now only a few. Very crowded in the evening. They are always playing intolerable computer generated 'music' at loud volume in the locker room; presumably so you will hurry up and get out of there. Complaints to management are ignored. Cleaning nearly non-existent; sometimes women cleaning the men's locker room during peak hours. Carpet fraying, paint worn and tired. Exit stair vestibules filled with junk and equipment; hopefully they won't have any need of emergency exit. Management has decided not to spend any money for upkeep or for better staff. read more

When I first joined LA Fitness in Natick, I would have rated it four stars. One of the primary reasons I joined because it had a pool and hot tub at a reasonable monthly rate. They have now removed the pool and hot tub (even though every other LA Fitness in Massachusetts has that amenity)! If I just want to use exercise equipment, I could join Planet Fitness or something and save some money. They also have very few classes (and even fewer appropriate for older folks -- and I don't mean elderly, just, say, for folks over 60) and no afternoon classes at all. The water aerobics classes used to be great, but, of course, those are gone now with the pool. The couple of times I did try to attend one of their non-pool exercise classes, the music was so loud that I had to leave the room! After being a member since almost the day they opened, I'll be cancelling my membership as soon as I get a chance to get over there. Very sad!! read more

We have been here since they opened. They continuously promised new fitness classes throughout the years and never followed through. Recently, We were informed that the pool will be permanently closed this August (2023). Today we found out they are permanently closing the daycare. All of this being done without reducing membership fees. We are furious and canceling our membership to head over to lifetime. Management doesn't give a crap. The pool is very nice, it's a 75x25ft swimming only pool ranging between 3.5 to 4.5 feet deep so it's perfect for doing pool walking. The whole fee structure is a little shady, because you need to add back the annual fee to calculate the true monthly rate. However on the whole for $35/mo you get access to a decent gym with machines, free weights, and with a pool/hot tub/sauna. If you go deeper into the free weight area you will find some plate loaded exercise machines. read more

I come to this gym as my secondary gym when I am in the area visiting family. It's incredibly overcrowded weeknights. That's due to 3-4 people walking in under one card swipe. The front desk is usually unattended at that hour. Why do I even pay for a membership if people just walk in for free? The AC is almost nonfunctional. Who needs a sauna when the entire gym is one. The soap situation is still lacking. You can usually find one dispenser that has some in it, but only after playing dispenser roulette. read more

Can't tell you how many times I've arrived prior to 5:00 AM only to leave at 5:30 due to staff no shows. LA Fitness doesn't even acknowledge that there's an issue. They have no issue drawing the membership fee from your bank though. Someone else mentioned the lack of cleanliness. This place is disgusting! I won't dare enter the men's locker room. Weights and water bottles are all over the place. If you need a tee shirt or pair of sneakers, visit the basketball court. Someone is always leaving crap and its never picked up. I am a 30+yr RN and joined in 2022 but the NATICK gym was filthy and poor AC. The cleaner Maria was good but she couldn't do it alone. I was on the brink of canceling my membership. Then you hired Lucilena Foley to help Maria. Lucilena immediately took on a leadership role and organizes the cleaning of floors, machines and bathrooms. Even the rugs smell better. Lucilena Foley deserves to be the cleaning supervisor and if you don't want to give her the title at-least give her a pay raise for taking on a leadership role. j read more

I have been a member of some gym or other for the past 20 years. They all try to sell u the place and also try to charge you some enrollment fee. All these years- ALL gyms have been able to waive their enrollment fee or cut me a deal for the same. But not LA fitness. I went in with the intention to join and start my workout right there. But the member service consultant refused to work with me for a reasonable deal for enrollment... I tried. But honestly he seemed least interested in having me as a client. 2 stars because while they have a plethora of lifting equipment there... only three squat racks? There seems to always be a wait. Additionally, zero gym etiquette. Weights everywhere with zero effort to put away. Weird loud grunting always. But the worst is the lack of cleanliness. I think I saw one spray bottle and a ton of empty paper towel holders. Sweat stains everywhere. I won't be surprised if monkey pox showed up here first. Absolutely disgusting place with zero cleanliness. I'm only here until I find a better location. We signed up for 6 months and when our 6 months was over I still noticed the charge by LA fitness on my account. When I called them I was told that if I don't cancel after 6 months they will automatically charge us until we request the cancelation! The gym itself is wonderful and clean and a good value. My 1-star is for the billing practices. I was double-charged for my first month and called the gym, and the salesperson on the phone either was incompetent and/or lied to me to say the charge was legitimate. I eventually read my contract and had to speak to someone higher up to get the charges reversed. It was a corporate billing error, which happens, but the staff at the gym should have been more knowledgeable and honest. It's poor and dishonest practice to do this. I will continue frequenting the gym, but I advise you to check your billing every month and make sure you know what your contract states, because some staff who work there do not. read more

I've been working out with Gary for 6 months - a combination of meeting with him and working out on my own. They have a bunch of trainers and pair you with the best person for your goals. They also tell you personality factors in and to not be shy about switching trainers if you are not comfortable and having fun. The motivation is one of the best parts - if you want he'll push you to do more than you think you can. You also learn how to achieve fitness or body goals - knowledge you can use forever. The gym & training are affordable. It does get crowded after work but there is always equipment or open space available you can use to keep workout going. This place is very filthy and nasty. I have been a member there for a couple years. I was glad that I can go back to the gym after closing for COVID-19 peak period. They re-opened this place about 3 weeks ago. The protocol of keeping distance is used by the paper sign that are posted everywhere which is fine for me. I tried to not use the bathroom there but couldn't avoid it after I came from work. So I used it about once a week. What I saw when I used their bathroom since the first week was the dirty bathroom that was never cleaned. I thought to myself. It just re-opened, they might need sometimes to have them cleaned. *** The Hand Gel that they filled in each dispenser are water-liked. Smell like water. They can try to save cost but I don't agree on this one. Second week, I went into the bathroom, every toilet bowls were the same, look filthy and I don't even have to explain what were stuck in the toilet bowl. The whole roll of tissue is on the floor in one of the bathroom. The floor is wet. A piece of tampon cover is there. Every mirror in the bathroom is CLOUDY. The faucets are cloudy which I expected that in the COVID situation, it should be sparkling clean. No hand soap when I want to wash my hands. Today at 8am, gym just opened. On the second floor, a fan blew those used tissues from the trash can everywhere on the floor. One of the customer said that they have told front desk staff about the cleanliness. But no one does anything. Should Natick town come in and check this place??? I wonder that in this situation of Coronavirus/ or even it is not the virus time, HOW can this place can be opened? Where is the Gym Manager? Where is the owner? The place should be inspected. The staff there should check and help each other in cleaning. Not to mention the swimming pool. Cloudy water with the yellow bottom pool ground. How often have you change/rotate the water? The time that this gym was closeda few months ago, the owner could have improved their facilities at some point. They don't let you upload filthy bathroom pictures on here.
