My wife and I were house-sitting and dog-sitting for a friend in a charming small village in France (Cadillac-en-Fronsadais) for ten days. We ate in restaurants in Bordeaux, Saint-André-de-Cubzac, Libourne, and Arcachon. They were all good. One evening we traveled to a local Tapas place and discovered that it was not open for dinner - what to do? We decided to try a small restaurant close to our village that we had passed by every day - La Fontaine. It was a happy choice. We were greeted by very friendly staff in a cozy atmosphere. There was a small aromatic wood fire that added to the ambience. I knew we had come to the right place when the chef cooked my steak on that wood fire - fabulous! Everything was great, and we decided that we would eat there again before we left. Don't pass this place by! read more
