I had a completely awful experience. I started looking for a used car at the beginning of September. I found one I loved and got a call back from John Burt almost immediately. Come to find out, the title for the car hadn't arrived yet, so I had to wait. Every day, I was told "it should be here tomorrow." After two weeks, I had enough and told them I needed something to drive until my title arrived. They provided me with a Kia. Issue being, IT HAD AN OUT BRAKE LIGHT AND ZERO OIL IN IT. I purchased oil and the light the car needed, and it took DAYS to be reimbursed for my purchases for a car that wasn't even mine. I was promised that a few oil changes for my car would be taken care of for the inconvenience. That was never set up. On October fourth, my car was delivered to me. I was promised that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, minus a small ding on the back door. Turns out, I was lied to. (My bad for not test driving) The brake pads and rotors on the car were so bad that the brakes barely worked, and I couldn't stop without the car shaking horrendously. I got them fixed personally, and I was promised a check for half of the cost of the parts I purchased, which were a total of $554.47. I started calling every single day as of last week. I'm an hour and a half from this dealership, so I can't just leave work to get this handled. I leave a message every day, and nobody ever calls back. I will never, EVER shop at Lafontaine again. The service at Infiniti has gone down since being sold to LaFontaine. The took away the experienced service reps and replaced them with people who don't know anything. Sales Reps are not any better. They pressure you into getting a vehicle ASAP because of the incentives just so they can make a sale. I have been a loyal customer for years. In fact, I had gotten my 5th Infiniti at the end of 2023. They lost a longtime loyal customer over $144 that I owed at the end of my lease even though the mileage was way under due to the car not being driven during the 2 years of Covid I worked from home. I traded in my Infinti q50 for a Tesla model S about 2 weeks ago. I test drove it during the day, Tesla model S day time running lights are programmed to only come on when it begins to get dark outside. The lights also immediately turn off after you exit the vehicle so they can only be seen from the outside. When I got my new car home I noticed that the headlight was burnt out. Tesla is quoting me 3k to fix this. I called and very politely explained my issue and was reassured that my salesmen would reach out to me. This never happened, so for the next week I called every day trying to reach someone. I was connected with someone from financing who reassured me that a manager would be calling me on that day which once again, never happened. After calling again and again I was finally connected to a manager today who was very cold and told me that I all used cars are sold as is, and that there is service contract that I should have bought that would have covered this issue and because I didn't buy it, nothing could be done. It would cost them $150 to order the headlight and their service department an hour of their time to fix my headlight but instead I am scrambling to figure out how I'm gonna come up with 3 thousand dollars to fix the new car I just purchased. Very heartbreaking and shocking considering the fact that I have owned an Infiniti for a year and have been coming here for my oil changes, they were always so lovely and I specifically trusted them over any other dealership to sell me a car that had its most basic components in working order and if it didn't to at least disclose the issue and be honest about it. When I traded my Infinti in they told everything that was wrong with it so they certainly inspect their vehicles before accepting them as trade ins. I appreciated that I started out with the salesman Ken to test drive and than get a deal done. They at least paid off my Car which is questionable if they gave me full value. It is the way the business is. I have great credit so I was not taking any BS on the deal. After the sale was done that was it. No showing me buttons in the car or anything. I know it was not a brand new car but damn it was an Infiniti. I remember when they would at least show you the gadgets in the car. Not get the deal and push you out. I give a 3 for being nice and kind during the transaction. The finance guy was kind and so was Ken during the sale. That is going to be obvious to get the deal. I give a 0 with the post sales customer service. Try to show a little after the sale kindness in the future instead of making the customer seem like a number or only a sale. read more

Every time that I have my oil changed here it takes 3 hours+ just yesterday my daughter took my vehicle for an oil change which again took 3+ hours. My youngest daughter left her wallet on the seat and someone took $102 out of it. Supposedly the cameras were checked. I've never had a good experience here. read more

If we had not driven 3.5 hours for a specific vehicle, I would have walked out. very dishonest sales representative. i expressed i was prequalified through two lenders. i expressed the one i was going with to do fiancé is gls. the sales rep told me i was approved but the lender wanted the dealership to pay $2600. i asked why. because i never heard that before. i called the lender my self. and they told me they are selling the car for $3000 more than what it's worth. i spiked with two reps at my lender. the car sales person never contacted me to inform me they are going to run my credit with 3 other lenders. they did that with out my knowledge which is illegal. i have experian and credit wise down loaded. it sent me a notification immediately. i asked them for a inquiry deletion because my lender said they have to remove it. i asked the delear for it. he said they open at ten he will check when he get to work. i asked him what happen to it. he said he cant remove it. so since they are being dishonest. and sneaky they dont get my business. and i would advise everyone to stay away from this place. winston was not supposed to be my sales rep kevin was. he was more professional. so now i gotta wait to years for it to be removed. but instead ima go to a higher authority. they not getting away with this. i am a nice person. i was kind and respectful they are greedy. . read more

I went to Infiniti in Farmington Hills this past weekend to have a car battery installed. I did not have an appointment and I was prepared to wait. I called earlier in the week but no one returned my call. The service advisor said they were "too busy" "not enough bays". No option of fitting me in was offered. Not impressed. The sales rep we worked with tried too hard to be charming and funny - to the point it was cheesy. Pls note we have never been to this dealership before and the sales rep does not know us. However, he kept trying to crack these sarcastic jokes which were actually annoying and irritating. When he went to walk us around the car and explain the features, my husband went to pull a tab to release a headrest (something a 5 year old child could do) - the sales rep swatted my husband. He actually smacked my husband because he wanted to show us how to drop a headrest. I could see if he were trying to dismantle the engine or doing something that could put us or the vehicle in danger - no, it was a headrest. Also, this dealership did not allow us to take the vehicle out for a test drive on our own. We have driven vehicles of all price ranges and many above the price of an Infiniti, it would have been nice to not have a chatterbox in the back seat interrupting our thoughts. Last and most important, their prices are just not competitive. They were unwilling to negotiate when we came in with full knowledge of how much other Infiniti customers were paying on the exact same car for the past 1.5 years. This dealership seems to cater more to the emotional buyer than the educated buyer. We thanked them for their time and literally drove a few miles away to Infiniti of Ann Arbor. Infiniti of AA beat their price like it was nothing. Within one hour the paperwork was signed and the rest is history. read more

I was very excited and impressed with my initial experience with leasing a vehicle at this dealership. My experience took a nose dive when I learned that the check that was supposed to be sent to pay off my old vehicle was not sent on the date promised. The payoff for my old vehicle is now late and I have lost trust in the compentecy of this dealership. I called the Sales Manager to discuss my concerns but never received a call back. My time was wasted during the leasing process to confirm that I received good customer service but now that my transaction is complete the same concern regarding my experience is no longer a priority. This was my first Infiniti experience and unfortunately will be my last. I wish I could return this vehicle because I am no longer happy with this 39 month commitment. read more

I purchased a vehicle here. The sales process was painful. My sale rep, neno, decided he had to leave in the middle of doing business to drop off a car at another dealer. He knew nothing about the car i bought. he did not talk about one feature, the warranty, nothing. He also tracked a bunch of snow in when he pulled it up and didn't clean it. nice. He is lucky there are only 4 of the cars i bought in eastern MI, or i would have taken my business elsewhere. After i purchased the car, he wanted to put my license plate on for me..how nice.. oh! it's because he wanted to put on the goofy 'Infinity of Novi' license plate holder, not because he wanted to help. He actually put 3" screws in and only on two of the 4 holes, so my license plate finally made its way down the screws and was hanging 3" off my new car, rattling. I also noticed they never gave me a owners manual. i called neno and he said he would get it in the mail along with my garage opener i left in my trade-in, and the correct screws. a week went by, nothing. I had to call again and he said he would get it out, a week went by and nothing. i called again and he said that he sent them to the wrong address (BS), then started to question me about why i would want a owners manual because they are online now, and proceeded to tell me that he wouldn't want one. He was full of excuses and rude. I still don't have the correct screws, owners manual or my garage door opener... it's been a month and a half. TL;DR- Steer clear of this dealership! read more

BUYER BEWARE. I drove from Grand Rapids, Michigan to buy a used 2017 BMW 540 earlier in July 2021. I discussed the car over the phone and was assured everything was in good working order, they sent me photos and told me that a multi-point check was done by a qualified mechanic. I test drove the car and it was really nice (as a BMW 540 should be!) when I lifted the hood after test driving for 10 minutes there was coolant seeping from a burst coolant reservoir manifold (which feeds the engine). This was not an unlucky coincidence insofar as it just happened. There was evidence of leaked coolant residue from other times the car was driven. The dried coolant has seeped right down through the engine block and all over intakes and cables. To say I was disappointed was an understatement as the car looked like a beauty and I had a bank note in my pocket ready to buy the car after a 2 hour drive from GR. They said this was an oversight by a mechanic which is hard to believe based on my untrained eye being able to spot the dried in and leaking coolant. The engine bay was disgracefully dirty and quite the opposite to the clean and slick front of house this garage portrays to be. read more

Hello. I would like to express my disappointment in the customer service provided by your service dept. I have been coming to your dealership to service my infiniti for over 3 years, and this particular service advisor is always rude and careless. His name is L.J. Parker. I came inSaturday and told him that my gas mileage has been decreasing and needs to be looked at. I have been coming in every 7500 mile interval to perform a synthetic oil change. Instead of offering someone could take a quick look at the car, he simply said Sorry, we cannot perform this kind of service on Saturdays and I would need to call and schedule an appointment. There was only one other customer at the dealership at the time. Instead of offering to schedule one for me he simply told me to take a hike. What kind of service is this? When I told him I was disappointed in the service, he simply told me to go somewhere else, like the infiniti dealership in ann arbor and grand rapids. Then when I told him it was the closest one to my house he simply said I think were done here. Is this any way to talk to a customer? I called the dealership in ann arbor and explained my situation and they atleast said they could take a quick look at it to make sure my air filter is not clogged or spark plugs need to be replaced, some common issues which may cause a dramatic decrease in MPG. I will be reporting your dealership to Infiniti corporate services so they can review this case. I am very disappointed in this service. read more

If you are buying a high end used car look elsewhere! Less than a week after the purchase of my vehicle I realized AMG rims on vehicle where knock offs reducing value over 2K! Sales staff continued to lie about rims until I provided proof from Mercedes. Note AMG rims was headliner for advertisement. They have refused to reimburse me for loss of value now I have to wait legal action to take its course. In addition 120 inspection they advertise is not what you would expect many items had to be repaired prior to purchase so please take your car to a mechanic for a second opinion it will save $ in the long run! read more

Bought a wonderful pre-owned vehicle in January 2016. Indicated I had a pre-authorized vehicle loan. Submitted all paperwork beforehand. 3+ Hours later signed agreement with lender I said at beginning. Two weeks later I started receiving credit denial letters from Banks & Credit Unions. They shopped around my credit to others. My credit score dropped and the eventual loan I walked into the dealership with increased. Spoke with finance manager and he said they had made no other inquires. LIE. My delicate financial information was shopped around to a multitude of creditors with each one lowering my credit rating. After being hung up on by the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager and an extended conversation with his boss I contacted the General Manager. He told me there was nothing he could do except possibly send out a letter for me to rectify with the multiple credit agencies. No concern at all that my credit was shopped around without my prior authority. He told me "Just Make Your Payments on time." this was out of the mouth of the GENERAL MANAGER! I was better off going to a used-car lot on the side of a shady street. No INTEGRITY will be found at this dealership, at least not for me. If I had to do it all over again I would never, ever never take my business to Infiniti of Novi!!! I should have stuck with the Mom & Pop Shops. Everyone is looking out for a buck & that's what I found here. The car was wonderful but afterwards I get nauseous just thinking about what the people I did business with. Came here for some AC work, wanted them to install new ac lines and recharge it. They said it would take an hour and a half, it took about 3 hours and they didn't offer to give me a ride home. Not even an hour of driving around after it was fixed my ac lines popped off and turns out they weren't even tightened down all the way. I take it back the next day and they fix it again, after a few days go by IT BREAKS AGAIN. but this time i'm stranded in GA because I told the manager I was traveling out of town and needed AC. I call them to see if I can go to another dealership here and have them work it out but they told me there's nothing they could do. Ultimately I ended up paying $500 for them to give me 3 day's of AC, Took it to a mom and pops shop in GA and they fixed it at a 5th of the cost and there's been no issues. They refuse to give me any type of refund. Obviously there technicians need more training. Absolutely disgusted by the service i've been provided by this dealership. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

My husband test drove a vehicle for his birthday on Saturday. His plan was to pick the vehicle up on Monday so he gave the dealer funds to hold the vehicle, which should have shown our commitment to the deal. Monday, he was stuck in meetings and informed the dealer he cant pick it up but he had the funds wired on Wednesday. Thursday, when he went to pick the vehicle up it was sold!!! Now we have look for another vehicle.. what if we would have stop the check then it would have been a problem. This was poor customer service and business practices. Even though a purchase agreement was not signed this can be viewed a mutual agreement, a contract between the dealership and the customer. Apology is not the answer. I'm pretty sure we're not the only ones they've taken money from as a commitment to the deal.. they should be held accountable! read more
