I paid for refurbished trans, they covered labor. Seemed fair. Twenty four hours later, still see same oil leak. Took it back. Find out it wasn't the transmission, it was an engine seal! Replaced it. 2000 +/-miles later big transmission fluid leak. They are refusing to do anything. Said they purchased the transmission without a warranty and I was on my own. Took the vehicle into my local mechanic and learned there were many issues wrong. Not only was there a damaged front torque converter causing the leak, but when they put the used transmission in, there were missing bolts, a missing vent hose/valve and a missing heat shield. Plus the PTU unit had metal shavings in it- something Suburban Nissan didn't even look at - it is an Industry Standard and Best Practice to check a PTU when installing a transmission. Incompetent work. Unethical staff. This dealership does not care about its customers.

I purchased oil and the light the car needed, and it took DAYS to be reimbursed for my purchases for a car that wasn't even mine. I was promised that a few oil changes for my car would be taken care of for the inconvenience. That was never set up. On October fourth, my car was delivered to me. I was promised that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, minus a small ding on the back door. Turns out, I was lied to. (My bad for not test driving) The brake pads and rotors on the car were so bad that the brakes barely worked, and I couldn't stop without the car shaking horrendously. I got them fixed personally, and I was promised a check for half of the cost of the parts I purchased, which were a total of $554.47. I started calling every single day as of last week. I'm an hour and a half from this dealership, so I can't just leave work to get this handled. I leave a message every day, and nobody ever calls back. I will never, EVER shop at Lafontaine again. The dealership was aware that the brakes needed to be replaced when I bought it, but they did not disclose that the car needed this $3200 service when I bought it. The only reason I found out about the brakes was because 4 days after I bought it, the car broke down for what was a warranty repair. So I had it fixed at Audi Novi. The service department sent me the inspection report which listed the brakes failed inspection. When the keys needed new batteries on the second day I owned it, that was an indication of things to come. When I confronted the salesman about it, he said, "Didn't I show you the inspection report?"Well, no, he hadn't. Nor did he have my signature on the report in the dealership file. When I asked for some help with this since it was not disclosed, the Sales manager declined to provide any remedy. Buyer beware. Apparently it is Audi Novi practice to sell vehicles with known issues and not disclose them. I wish I had read the other 1 star reviews here because there's an obvious pattern. Now, I'm waiting for the next shoe to drop because they know things about the car I don't know, and given the way the engine failed that caused me to need it serviced, I'm suspicious whether it was just enough to cause a problem that would lead to them getting me in for service. I prepare myself for this with a purchase from an unknown individual but not a dealership.
