I want to express my deep disappointment with the management at La Fontaine. We have used this ballroom for multiple events over the years, including my own wedding, but this recent experience was by far the worst. Our niece's 15th party on 7/12 had several issues starting with the setup. Two main decor features listed in the contract were not installed. When we raised this with the manager on duty, Mr. Sergio , we were told these features were missing and too late to be set up. The decor manager should have proactively informed us about the shortfall and arranged a credit for the missing items, but no communication was made. The decor manager did not hold any accountability that she list some decor in the ballroom. The maintenance of the ballroom also showed a significant decline. Four industrial portable AC units were in use--was this communicated beforehand? Was the main AC not functioning? If so, should we receive compensation for this? Additionally, many ceiling tiles had visible water stains hidden behind fabric. Why weren't these replaced? It feels like an attempt to hide the damage. The gold glass tables inside were dirty and not cleaned before the event as well. Customer service at the bar was equally disappointing. The bartender, Patricia, displayed a poor attitude, was slow, and lacked the energy expected in her role. My father-in-law even had to step behind the bar to help because of her slow service, which offended her. She also cut people off arbitrarily, handling the situation poorly and causing discomfort for many guests. A bartender should be upbeat, efficient, and courteous, none of which were evident. On a positive note, the manager Sergio was great trying to resolve these issues, though the decor manager did not support him well and clearly needs retraining on client communication and decor management. Overall, this experience was hugely disappointing, especially given the high price and reputation La Fontaine portrays was not refilled and run down. I hope my feedback is taken seriously to improve the quality of service in the future. read more

This past weekend we celebrated our daughter's XV at the original La Fontaine, we had a great experience working with the whole team and our event was a beautiful dream come true, they definitely exceeded our expectations. The event planners for the night, Carlos and his team were very assertive and everything ran very smoothly thanks to their attentiveness with all the details. The servers were very efficient and friendly, as well as the bar tenders. I am happy we chose La Fontaine for our special event and would choose them all over again! 10/10 read more

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing my first Quinceanera, I must say it's quite interesting. For those who have never been to one, imagine all the glitz and glam that goes into a wedding, but for a 15 year old girl. It's one marvelous day and to host one costs a pretty penny. On this particular occasion I had the chance to visit La Fontaine Hall. From the outside you wouldn't expect much, but inside the place is actually quite nice. They have lots of colored light around, and I had been a few times before to scout out the place and they have a multitude of table clothes, chair covers, to set the mood/color scheme of any occasion. Me and my family came in expecting to just look around, but once we saw the venues we booked right away! There are 2 venues, they're 7 minutes away from each other so we saw both. We booked for a Sweet 16, but they do many other types of celebrations. I fell in love with the 2nd location (this one) which has a capacity of 400. The other venue has a capacity of 500. Joe Concepcion gave us a tour, and he was extremely nice. I love how he wasn't so serious, made jokes here and there, was light hearted, and made sure to talk to both the parents and the kid. The venue is very flexible. For example, you pay monthly for the costs but if you can't pay for a month for whichever reason, you can call them and tell them that you can't pay for that much and they will be totally okay with it. You pay for however much you can for that month and pay the rest the next month. Joe went through the contract with us, and even showed our expenses on everything we're paying for (meaning no sneaky costs)! He was very thorough and answered any questions we had. They have a lot of services and has pretty much everything. Every Thursday from 5-9 there is an open house which is very nice! You can see for yourself how beautiful this venue is. read more

My girlfriend's twin daughters had their quinceanera at La Fontaine on February 16, 2020 and it was the best party they could have asked for! We looked at numerous venues on the NW side of town and La Fontaine is by far, the best venue. Yes, you can find cheaper venues, but you get what you pay for! When we first came to the venue, Alex was great at giving us the details and a tour of their locations. He takes pride in his work and it shows. He was able to help plan the party and get the vendors we needed to personalize the celebration. When guests arrived at the venue, their eyes and mouths opened wide when they saw the setup! It was absolutely stunning! The décor and lighting is classy and very elegant. The staff and servers were exceptional! They, too, take pride in their work and are attentive to the details. Everyone was in awe with their performance to start the party! They served the food on que and didn't miss a beat! We weren't told of this "performance" ahead of time, so it was a great surprise. It really got the party off to an amazing start and the vibe continued for the rest of the night. Whatever you're celebrating, you will not be disappointed using this venue! If I could leave a 1/2 a star I would for returning my call after 5 months. Me and my husband planned our wedding here for 2 years, wanted venue B but was set up with Venue A, went over the decorations with pictures and even attended the open house, was told the wedding event would be set up the way it was discussed (which did not happen at all) the tea lights were not even placed in the center pieces, they offered a FRIDGE to put all our beer in day of the wedding which did not happen! They served my guest HOT BEER, they told my guest we ran out of alcohol but sent us home with 10 bottles of liquor,on top of that the security guard was drinking our beer while on duty. We asked the soap to be refilled in the ladies room which never happened, there was no napkins in the mens restroom! They got their money for the wedding and that was all that mattered! This was my first wedding, family flew down from other states to share this special moment and this is how it turned out! I requested to speak to the manager 3 times and was told every time he was not there to talk to. I don't even talk about my wedding nor will I ever refer them to anyone!!!! They set up open house to make it look so nice which it does but the actual event was not set up the way it was discussed and promised! I just recently married the love of my life here and man everything was amazing. My sister in law had her wedding here in September. It was a beauty intimate hall, the staff at the reception was especially kind. Although this may have been because following the reception the makeup artist's money was stolen. We were told that we could leave our belongings there while the wedding ceremony was taking place. The makeup artist decided to stay and touch up my wedding party before pictures. Upon her departure we found out of things were moved and all the cash that she had made was gone after the staff ensured us that the door would be secured and it was ok to leave our things. When reporting this THEFT to security I was feeling rather ignored and bothered that this THEFT was pushed under the rug. This is not a good place to have a wedding or any ceremony. read more

My husband and I had the pleasure to celebrate our wedding reception at La Fontaine Main and I can honestly say that from the beginning until the end the staff was extremely helpful and outstanding. Estevan was always available and went out his way to handle any bridezilla moment. Aida was our event coordinator and she made the night memorable. From the moment my husband and I walked in to our reception venue we were greeted by all of the Staff and they were all introduced to us and ended our introduction with claps and cheers, mind you my husband and I were the first ones there as we wanted to inspect every detail. Aida immediately had the waitstaff take water and soda to our waiting room and made the night pleasant. We danced the night away and Aida was always near the dance floor awaiting us with beverages. She was running back and forth the entire night and always informed me of everything. If I wanted something done all I had to do was look around and she would immediately run towards me to ask if I was in need of anything. She made our night epic and spectacular, our entire party and guest noticed the attention she gave us. Overall, I rate La Fontaine 5 stars and more! Know that we are having our daughter sweet 16th we had to go back we had such a great experience the first time and I'm sure it will be the same the second time around. I am giving 2 stars since the place IS nice from the inside. I had the most stressful experience with this place and the owners. Even after a year of planning and going over the colors I wanted so many times, they still got it wrong! The lady owner is conceited and rude. She treated me nice when she felt like it. Their catering company was not good so I paid way too much for this venue since they only provided the space, linens and waitstaff. Which brings me to the most annoying thing from this venue....the presentation they have to announce the owner and it's waitstaff!! People pay a lot on money for their special day and it should only be about them! This lady comes out and announces she's the owner and has all the waitstaff do some sort of presentation to music playing....so cheesy!! And it's not about promoting your place lady!!! La Fontaine is great place to host an important event. Recently we, an organization at the University of Houston, decided to host our semi annual banquet at the main reception hall from La Fontaine. Poleth Guerrero was my service advisor, she was super helpful and made sure everything went as planned. The day of the event, everything was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I am from Houston. And the reason I picked this place was because of all the things they offered. This website asked for my experience and I'm sorry if you got offended but my experience has been far less than sub-par. You say the building is supposed to be opened now? Have you been by there lately? My mom was there today. & guess what? No changes made. They tell me today that it will be open Sept 22nd. From June to September? The place is nice. Food is horrible, Margaritas taste like slushes from sonic not a bit of alcohol (smh). Went to open house not only were we ignored, but the coordinators was talking amongst each other so, i aproached the table no one acknowledged me though, it was as if i was invisible. Im a understanding person so i told my fiancé hey lets check out the other stuff and we'll come back so i went to look at the bridal suite and there was a young woman in there she never said amything to me either she stayed on her phone the entire time i was in there but the moment a Hispanic couple came in the lady dropped her phone and she started telling them all the information about the suite but she turned her back on me. Latashia K first of all I don't know why you would have a wedding in Houston if you're from Austin and second, Estevan was completely polite and very professional at every appointment I've had with him. They gave us specials and upgrades as a kindness and trust me when the VIP is done it'll be well worth more than the locked in pricing from the original space, for a business to grow so quickly they must be doing something correctly. Also, the VIP isn't set to have it's grand opening until August and if you're from any part of Houston you would know how quickly buildings and businesses can go up and open here. The worst customer service I have experienced. They do not stand by what they say. They have a contract saying what they expect from you but once you sign the contract they can do what ever they want. Like not returning your call or answering your emails. I canceled my date with them because of the horrible customer service and they wouldn't return my deposit. They should of done what was right and return my deposit because your company screwed up not me. I would never recommend this hall to anyone. read more
