I had no idea that I would be completely blown away by this sweet new storefront and its wonderful owner. Maria is the Master Esthetician and Director of La Gardenia, and she taught me more about my skin from one conversation than I've ever learned before! Time with Maria will be my new regular ritual. This was my first experience at a spa. But I didn't go for a day of beauty. I went because I was experiencing tightness with my lower and upper back and Maria (owner and operator) was AMAZING! She used techniques to help alleviate the pain. In addition, she offered laser treatment on my face while I was there and explained what it would do for me? I tried it and it was pretty awesome! Maria did my facial today and I was very impressed. She's been an aesthetician for 20 years and described her self to be old school when it comes to skin care. She believes in the holistic / organic approach for any skincare issues. She uses éminence organic skin care and only these products. They're gentle and effective. Maria at La Gardenia Beaute Spa is the absolute best! Maria cleared up my skin, which is something that I thought was impossible. I got acne in my late teenage years and I had been through every dermatologist you could possibly imagine, but nothing was working on my skin. My only other option was Accutane, but my mom was against me taking it. One day, I saw Maria and started talking to her about my acne. She recommended that she treat me for a facial amd advised me that she would be able to get rid of the acne. Well, let me tell you, all it took was that one facial by Maria and I could have already felt a difference in my skin. From when I started seeing Maria, almost 10 years ago, I have yet to miss a facial every month. I did everything that she advised me to do, bought all the products that she recommended and slowly my skin became perfect. I always tell Maria that her hands work magic! I highly recommend going to La Gardenia Beaute Spa and seeing Maria. I can't thank Maria enough for my clear skin and for getting rid of the scarring from the acne. The facials and the products that Maria offers are worth every penny! Eminence is by far the best line I have used on my skin and I cannot thank Maria enough for introducing me to the line. I had a Groupon for a facial at La Gardenia Beaute Spa and they answered the phone the first time I called and gave me an appointment for the day and time I asked for. By now I'm used to being treated like a second class citizen at businesses when I have a Groupon, they usually look at you like you're trying to pay with food stamps. But Maria was genuinely warm, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere was relaxing. For the facial, she applied product and did a long massage, then cleaned it off and applied a masque. I was given a choice between carrot and pumpkin, and the pumpkin was a nice choice with a great aroma. Next came the extractions (a bit painful as can be expected), more cleansing and the facial was over. All in all it was nice but I was expecting the steam at the end and it was not part of the regimen. When I inquired, Maria said the steam is unhygienic (which didn't scare me off of wanting it anyway, but it's ok). I was also told that my eyebrows could use some attention, and I was given a sales pitch on their organic products like 18 times; both of which I could have done without but didn't change the fact that it was a nice place to get a facial and a very good experience. read more

Maria's skills and knowledge has transformed my skin. I was lucky enough to stumble upon La Gardenia via Groupon and saw it was in my old hometown and decided to try it out. Maria made my visit welcoming, comfortable and answered all of my questions. I am always skeptical when trying a new place out for a facial, as I am one of those people who he tried every product out there my dermatologist had recommended I go on acutane if this facial didn't work for me. Eminence is a god send skin care line and I saw immediate results after my facial and using a sample of the products Maria recommended for my personal skin care regimen. I now see Maria once a month for my facial and I look forward to it every month. She is amazing. read more

I really did like this place. I used a groupon to have a facial with Maria- She is a really lovely person. She was so nice and inviting and I immediately felt comfortable regardless of whatever the facial was going to be. The facial was great. The products felt and smelled great. Soooo... I am usually interested in buying the products used if they smell great... and while I appreciate no sales being pushed on me- I don't even know what she used. I did look around the room at the completion and saw the Eminence line but I was a little disappointed not to know what was being put on my face. One of the products smelled like an amazing berry smoothie but I'm not sure what it was used for or what it was called. At no fault of Maria's- the place was a little ... less than spa feeling but at $39 for a one hour facial, I am still satisfied. I actually fell asleep because the music was relaxing but it wasn't as serene as most spas I have been to- not as warm and cozy. I could also hear a lot of what was happening in the building- the door, music, phones, etc. I would still go back but I don't know that I'd pay full price. I still highly recommend visiting Maria because she was nice! read more

Just had another amazing facial with Maria! She customized a treatment for my skin which included the oxygen peel that has blueberries and paprika. The product smells good enough to eat and has actual blueberries in it. All of the Eminence products look and smell awesome and are organic. I left with a bag of products that I can't wait to try. My skin looks great and feels great after today's treatment. No redness, no splotches, just perfect. She also fixed my eyebrows that I had gotten waxed somewhere else (I was desperate!).
