One room, the main area had salsa, dancing, and music and eventually at 9:30 PM a live salsa band came on. That was a whole lot of fun however it was very crowded. And the third room was the bar that leads to the outside called La Cubanita, which was playing mellow lounge music with a tropical beat. The food at La Factoria was definitely overrated and just OK. I did not think it was worth the price and I probably would not eat there again. None of us really liked what we ordered, but we ate it because well... We were hungry. They do offer a wide range of beverages from your standard beer, wine, and top shelf brands, however, they are known for their own concoctions. All of the drinks we ordered were delicious. Overall, we had fun, and it was not too pricey for the beverages. I don't think that I would ever go again, especially not later in the week as it is so busy, and we went on a Monday and we were dancing cheek to cheek!!! Enjoy!

It's small, loud, a little gritty, and completely inviting--exactly what a true dive bar should be. The walls are covered in graffiti and stickers from years of visitors leaving their mark, and honestly, that's part of the magic. You can't help but look around and smile at all the personality packed into such a cozy space. One of my favorite details? Look over to the right corner of the bar and you'll spot what looks like a vintage cash register straight out of the 1800s. Then right in the middle of the bar you've got the modern point-of-sale devices. The contrast is hilarious and perfect--old-school charm meeting modern bar life. There's a pool table, plenty of seating for such an intimate spot, and yes, a restroom inside (always appreciated in Old San Juan!). But what really makes this place stand out is the service--the staff is fantastic, welcoming, and they pour seriously strong drinks that are also refreshingly affordable. This is the kind of place where you come for one drink in the afternoon and suddenly the whole evening disappears in great conversation and good vibes. The bar has a classic mid century club vibe with all the energy you could ask for. We booked a table for two using Open Table, and it worked perfectly. We had a great view of the stage and the musicians while we enjoyed our cocktails and appetizers. Our waitress was very attentive, even though she was handling the entire bar seating area. The music and the overall experience were so good that we went back a second time at the end of our trip. If you want a classic Latin music experience in a traditional and upscale setting, look no further than Chico Cabaret. It was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. The next time we are in town, we will definitely be returning for more great music in an energetic setting.

I was one person and had already eaten dinner so I just wanted to sit for a single drink. The next day, Friday, there was no minimum and the bar was much more packed and lively! They always have live music playing anything from salsa to merengue to bachata and even disco. The bartender was also very nice and even though she didnt know how to make a cocktail I requested, she happily made it after I googled the recipe.

While their kitchen closes at ten, the owner was extremely nice and opened the kitchen back up for us. We got some chicharrones de pollo with carne frita, tostones and papas fritas. The chicharrones de pollo is literally chicken thats chopped up and deep fried, and it was delicious with the mayoketchup sauce. the pickled red onions gave the dish overall some nice acidity as well. Very worthwhile as our first 'street eats' experience in PR.

I know nothing about the scene in San Jose, but I'm betting it's the only biker rock and roll bar in the city, maybe even the only rock bar. But don't be intimidated by being a biker bar in a dark, warehouse area by the docks, it is a very friendly, chill place, where everyone seems to know each other and party together. Heavy metal seems to the main genre here, but one band was an 80s 90s pop cover band. I enjoyed 2 meals from the little but good quality kitchen, including the Papa's Loco, good bar food. I also splurged on the steak sandwich, it was good, but I'd probably just stick to a hamburger next time.

I came here to celebrate my birthday and unfortunately, they fell short in every possible category. The layout is a major issue. We paid the $10 per person fee for the piano room, only to be squeezed in elbow-to-elbow with strangers. The tables are so tiny I literally had to eat out of my lap to avoid spilling food on my clothes. Even the basic facilities were a struggle; the women's bathroom was so cramped and unaccommodating that I could barely even sit down. When we asked to move to a more comfortable space, the hostess and waitress refused, citing nearby reservations. The kitchen and service were equally disappointing. After waiting over an hour for our entrees, the food arrived mediocre and tasteless. The steak had zero seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were dry and flavorless--essentially just a boiled potato thrown on a plate. The service was the final straw. When I tried to flag down a server to send the potatoes back, he told me he would "get her." When our waitress finally arrived, I explained the issue and she simply replied, "I know." No apology, no offer to bring something else, and no effort to make it right. To be met with that level of rudeness on my birthday was shocking. This was a complete waste of time and money--I won't be returning.
