I stopped in recently to check out this place as I work in the area. Its really nice inside and very groovy and was very busy. Menu does not have prices listed which was a tad concerning. I ordered a iced coffee (they offer only one size) and an apple bear claw pastry. Iced coffee was strong and the pastry just ok- was very small. Should be called a cub paw. Total was a bit over $13 which I thought was high. Not a good value and I would think twice before returning. Service was pleasant. read more

I want to start off with the good, the vibe and atmosphere was A+. Great mix of seating and awesome place to catch up with friends. The portion size was good for both the coffee and sandwich but I found the bambino crudo to be really lacking in the flavor department which was really disappointing for the 16.99 price tag. Such a cute, artsy little spot! I ordered the strawberry matcha latte and a berry scone -- the matcha was a 10/10 (perfectly balanced and not overly sweet), and the scone was a solid 7/10. The vibes are immaculate -- cozy, creative, and welcoming. The service was so friendly, and the staff wore the cutest little uniforms, which added such a fun, thoughtful touch to the whole experience. Very cute cafe with sandwiches on superb bread, coffees, teas and pastries. The bread on my sandwich (the mortadella kruda) was some of the best sandwich bread I've had. Counter service was helpful and friendly. There were some glitches though with how the food came out and we had to follow-up to get a missing item but it all worked out. Lots of seating options with low seats, high tables, counter and outdoor seating. Beware it is busy though on the weekend and seating is tight. Parking is the main drawback. We struggled a bit to find a nearby spot. Still I would definitely go again, just maybe at a less busy time or with an expectation I may have to park further away. read more

We were excited to check out La Grekka's new location at Lawrence Riverwalk, since we're big fans of their Essex Street spot. The place was definitely lively and had a good crowd, which was nice to see. We started off by ordering hot caramel cappuccinos, the girl at the register was super friendly, which was a great start. While waiting, we went to look for a seat inside (it was pretty warm out). A few tables were being cleared, so we headed in that direction. Just as we sat down, a lady came over and asked if we were part of "the event." We had no idea there was an event happening, and when we said no, she let us know the table was reserved and we'd have to move. That threw us off a bit, especially since there were no signs or anything saying certain tables were reserved. Would've been helpful to have a heads up. Since there weren't any open tables inside, we sat outside. We found a couple of seats, though they were kind of awkwardly placed, facing other tables. When the coffees were brought over, the server asked for a number plaque which we never got. I told her I only had my receipt and she said it was fine. Not a big deal, but it added to the bit of confusion. The cappuccinos were okay, but not as hot as we're used to at their other location. All in all, I was hoping to hang out a bit longer, maybe order something else, but it ended up feeling a little hectic because of the event. I'd just suggest putting up some signage when there's something going on so customers know what areas are reserved ahead of time. Still love La Grekka and definitely plan to come back despite this visit having a few bumps. Looking forward to giving it another shot! I will submit another review then. read more

This place was breathtaking from the moment you walk in it's like you are taken to another world. The staff were super inviting and very knowledgeable about their menu items. This place is family friendly great if you're working remotely. There's outdoor seating. Parking is available. This is also a great spot for first dates take notes guys! Cute place with very eclectic decorations. You order at the counter and food is brought to the table. Tipping option was not added to my bill but a tipping jar was available (hard if you don't carry cash but thankfully we did). Service was excellent without a doubt. There was a lady that may have been the manager or owner walking around and greeting people. Place was super busy and it appears to be a very popular spot. Lattes were great and I'd go back for more. The El Baja Panza offered scrambled eggs, fruit, bacon and avocado. For $16.50 there wasn't anything particularly memorable about it. They might consider a different cheese option like manchego to step it up and/or adding toast for that price. Turkey, eggs and cheese had scrambled eggs and was $8.50. If they gave an option of a fried egg, added the option of adding a slice of avocado and included a cheese option (maybe they had it but wasn't offered) that might make me re-consider returning for breakfast. Morir Soñando which is a traditional Dominican drink typically made with milk and orange juice was almost $10. I would come back to try out their pastries/desserts and for their great coffee. Croissants are so good here. It would be a disservice to come to this place and not have one of their buttery delectable croissants. But that's about it. Maybe if you get take out or DoorDash it would be worth it? Because the customer service here needs a lot of help. I was never asked if I wanted my order for here or to go, and was provided everything on plates. I asked if my sandwich could be taken to go instead and they just brought me over a box and said "mira! Look!" when she arrived to my side with the box. The worst part was they forgot our drinks. We waited 40 minutes for 2 drinks. When I was finally able to flag someone, they did not apologize but shortly came out with our drinks...in a mug. This was not something that could be easily transferred to a to go cup. So...tongues were burned as we tried our best to cool down the drinks while chugging them to get out of there in time to continue our day. And yes, we almost walked out but it cost us over $50 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. It was pretty in there though! read more

I wanted to love this spot. The decor is over the top, dark walls with all sorts of art and musical instruments displayed. Furniture was comfy, attractive and a little crowded. The coffee was good though the cappuccino was expensive and available in one size only. My companions said the pastries were excellent and I must say they looked delicious. My plan was to have breakfast, but here is where the disappointment came. I am also surprised none of the other reviews mention my gripe. No prices are shown for any menu items! They said you can ask. This doesn't work for me. I like to be aware of the pricing and details before ordering. Are the eggs fried or scrambled, what is the bread or roll..... and the price. I wouldn't want to be surprised. I did ask the price off the Saccher torte because it was so tempting but I didn't want a nearly $10 piece of cake for breakfast. This will probably keep me from returning unless for coffee alone. The other issue is the limited parking. I almost went into the garage but am not interested in paying $4 to park to get a coffee. Please note I do not visit any of the popular chains, I am pretty loyal to some limited location coffee shops. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and it was DELICIOUS! Not only was the food tasty and relatively affordable, but the staff were attentive and friendly! We didn't see a tip option on the payment screen so we weren't able to tip (we didn't have cash on us) but we wish we could have. The decor was cute and comfortable and the outdoor seating was lovely on a nice day like today. We were recommended to come here by a friend and will certainly be recommending it for our friends too! read more
