This place is definitely a hidden gem! Being totally honest, the location has some weird vibes, being in an unmarked brick building. Also, the interior design feels strangely sophisticated, but still a nice atmosphere making the spot a fun place to eat and work nonetheless. As for the service, despite it being peak lunch time, it was fast, extremely helpful and friendly, and very caring. As soon as my order was taken, I know my food would be made with great precision. And I can say with absolutely certainty that it was!! I ordered their versatile BYO bowl with kale, quinoa, chicken, sweet potato, chickpeas, avocado, goat cheese, and tahini garlic dressing. Take notes if you need ideas for what to order because it was absolutely incredible!! I worry sometimes that the flavors won't work together well when creating my own dish as a result of ingredients conceptualized individually of one another, but dragonfly's ingredients are made so freshly and are so packed with flavor that this was not a problem at all! Also, their extensive menu from the BYO option to their premade bowls, salads, toasts, smoothies, breakfasts, and drinks ensures that there will be something for everyone no matter your dietary preferences or cravings!! CELIAC SAFE! Finally, a place in Lowell with a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. The food is actually delicious, the drinks are carefully curated and they have a rotating menu for drinks per season (they like to do drinks named after songs). Their drinks are like Starbucks but better. Don't even get me started on From Eden. There's nothing like lavender in coffee. The staff is well informed on allergies, very friendly, and so kind. And you can't beat the ambiance. A lovely place to sit outside or indoors at the beautiful handmade tables, with comfy chairs that let you sink in to get down with a good book, some work on your laptop, or even a date! And you can't mess with trivia nights! Honestly they are not easy, but you really get into it! We go every Thursday. The other events are fun, too. If you're looking to get full, this is not the place. I've tried this place 2 times and both times I was disappointed. The cafe is very cute and spacious, love the interior design. I feel like it'd be a great place to study since they have long, rectangular tables similar to how they have in study spots on campus. For the food, I got the açaí bowls last time and they tasted like nothing. It started to melt very quickly and became just liquid. The Dragonfly came with shredded coconut which I asked to get taken off but it didn't but they were nice about substitutes. The add-ons are not worth it, I paid for the peanut butter and barely got any on it. The presentation is very nice though the color makes it look very pretty. For nearly $15 the size and taste did not live up to anything. This time we got the sandwiches and they were not enough to get us half way full. Maybe it was my bad to think so cause it did say it was on toast but I thought since it was a sandwich they would try to fill it a bit more. They were just small and although there was sauce, there wasn't much flavor to it. The BLT was fine, couldn't taste the sauce but I could see it dripping out. The Motivated was full of sauce but I could mostly just taste the cheese and was only given 1 piece of bacon. It was almost snack to me, it wasn't stuffed at all and was finished quickly. The staff here were very nice but they did leave during the middle of the transaction so we were kind of just waiting there. But they do bring you your food and are sweet. read more

I've been trying to find some good matcha sunce moving to Lowell and finally tried this place. They also have a few other drinks I want to try. I got the Green Light iced, the matcha flavor isn't very strong. It's better than what I got at another place, but I will still keep looking. My boyfriend got a Hot To Go. The interior designers should be commended. Coupled with the food, the interior design is misleading. The person who bakes the vegan baked goods should try *tasting* their own scones and muffins. Literally, they tasted like cardboard. The coffee was B- grade. Not bad for Lowell. read more

I really wanted to love this place but was pretty disappointed in the quality of the food and coffee, especially with the price point they have. It was hard to find the place because it's in an apartment complex and there's little to no signage. Everyone was super sweet, so customer service wasn't an issue at all. They only do single espresso shots in all their M coffee drink choices for some reason, while most places do at least 2. Adding another shot was a whopping $3! On top of the alternative milk and flavoring charges. When I went to pay, she said $30 something and I gasped. I ended up removing the coffee choice and just doing the bowl for $18. The cashier confirmed the order with one of the other staff, so I stood and waited. I was waiting for 5-7 minutes and then saw they were only just starting to make my order. I asked how much longer it would be and their reply was they were short staffed. There was 3 of them there, and I was literally the only customer. I didn't want to be impatient so I waited another 7 minutes until I received my bowl. It looked so good, but it wasn't. The rice was gross. It was really overcooked and wicked mushy, and had a bit too much flavoring to it and it just overpowered everything, leaving an unsavory aftertaste. I ended up asking for a refund and going somewhere else. Great spot if you're gluten free as their whole facility is GF, which most places can't make happen. Contrary to what I thought, the interior is huge! It gives off modern coffee shop ambiance with a little bit of hippie, organic. I love the booth seats. The servers and cashiers are very friendly and welcoming. If you dine in, they bring your drinks and food to you! My husband made his own bowl with basmati rice, kale, I think beef carnitas, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I ordered the motivated sandwich which was essentially an egg, bacon, cheese, sandwich with micro greens. My sandwich was basic, and small, not worth the $10 I'd say. However my husband's bowl was full of flavor! The carnitas kinda tasted like Vietnamese Thit Kho so that was nice. He raved about the flavor in The sweet potatoes and how he's coming here from now on. I got the Lagoon lemonade while he got the Dragonfly lemonade, which the cashier mentioned is made with house made elderberry syrup. My lemonade tasted so familiar but I couldn't put my mind to it. It tasted like a blue raspberry lemonade but very light and not too sour which is great for when I want something refreshing and fruity. The dragonfly lemonade was also a toned down lemonade with a slightly sweet taste which is good as well. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try some more drinks. While in town for a softball tournament, we hit Yelp looking for some smoothies and a healthier, lighter, fast lunch option. My GPS directed me here no problem but then figuring out parking was kind of tricky. I turned down the road which Dragonfly is on the corner of and found myself at a bus terminal with all kinds of no parking signs. I did a loop and returned to the lot of the building and chanced parking there even though it seemed like the lot was reserved for the medical facility that was located there (signage posted). The inside of the cafe is clean and bright, very inviting. You order at the counter and then are given a number tent to set at whatever table you'd like to sit at, with your food delivered shortly after. Everything here is dairy free and gluten free so it's perfect if anybody has dietary restrictions. All the food is super fresh but the pricing does add up quickly. I know it happens, but I did find a curly hair in my smoothly and I asked for my burrito to be black-bean free, which it was not. For a lunch that was fairly pricey, it was a little disappointing to not be satisfied with half our order. I'm going to assume this isn't the norm, but worth mentioning in an honest review. read more

I'd been here twice total and won't be back. In two different times my orders were incorrect in terms of something being missing. The first time I asked for oat milk was charged for oat milk then was handed my drink without oat milk... The second time the itty bitty sandwich I paid for was literally almost $15 just for them to not even put bacon on my sandwich that COMES with bacon... I didn't realize both times until afterwards bc I'm usually in a rush to get lunch before my commuter bus comes but the prices are definitely not worth it. Gluten-free sandwiches were a disappointment--$10 & $11 for a BLT and a cheese & egg served on small sandwich-sized bread. Large drinks (the size of a Dunkin' medium) were $5 @. Neither of us will ever return. (P.S. Parking is horrendous. I can't eat gluten so I go to this dedicated gluten free restaurant a lot. They still have meat and dairy available if you want it so it's not as earthy and crunchy as other places. Good food choices, coffees, smoothies. My only dislike is the over use of healthy spices like turmeric and cinnamon because I'm slightly allergic to these. You can go up the several steps or use an elevator to get to the first floor level. Outstanding selection and variety for breakfast and lunch. Homemade toast for the sandwiches is perfection, and the Abundance grilled cheese with bacon, tomato, pesto was just the right portion size.
