    Chicken street tacos, delicious!!!
    Mimi D.

Such a well kept and clean food truck that tempts you with the delicious smell of grilling chicken the moment you arrive. Service is amazing, very friendly staff. Food came out quickly, we get the grilled chicken street tacos. They were so flavorful you didn't really need the salsa, but that green one has a nice kick to it. Can't wait to go try their plates and other items, show these guys some love next time you're craving some chicken anything, they'll do you right!

For starters 5 stars!! They got the service, the presentation, the atmosphere, and the flavor of the food to culminate a 5 star food truck! My lovely wife and I had the chicken street taco plates and the order of fries! We had the pleasure of being served with a smile and an amazing dinner! Thank you for the awesome food and the amazing experience guys!!! We will be back for sure!

For my meal I tried the biscuit and gravy which is topped with an egg to add great flavor to the dish. The biscuit was huge, I couldn't finish it all. Even-though they can get busy on the weekends, the service is always good and during this visit, our server was very attentive with frequent drink refills. I love the dining space and bar area with oysters and bottles on display. I highly recommend Taste on Main for their delicious food, competitive pricing and attentive staff.

Ambience was nice with the exception of one toddler on the other side making a little bit too much ruckus. Hopefully a one off. Our food arrived quickly enough. Major Yum yum points across the board for the crawfish dip (super delicious) loaded mashed potatoes (did I mention w Bacon) and the Steak carpaccio. Below par for the Chicken fried steak w potatoes, green beans (flavorless) and I don't know but I expected the Ceviche salmon to be..more. Not entirely a bad experience. I'd be willing to try other items on their menu next time round.

We weren't sure if it came with macaroni so we ordered a large side of Mac and it was HUGGGGGEEEE!! Totally worth the price as well considering it's delicious. Since we live way North we only stop by this location once in a loong while if we've travelled South for some reason. Yesterday (7/5/26) my daughter was on her way back from San Antonio so that was the perfect reason for a stop. Ordering online was nice and simple but dang the food has fallen off since our last visit awhile ago! We ordered a Large Loco Moco with Eggs Easy Over ($17.99), a 4-Choice Mix Plate with Kalua Pork, BBQ Chicken, Chicken Katsu and Garlic Shrimp ($23.99) and a side order of Macaroni Salad ($3.99). When I tell you we were both so disappointed when she got home and we got ready to eat. First off, the Loco Moco wasn't completely terrible but the gravy was soo salty and as you can see its completely covered in gravy. Unfortunately, the shoyu they add when making it was soo overpowering so the main taste we got was the salty soy sauce. Other than that though the rice, mac salad and hamburger patties were good. As for mixed plate, the Chicken Katsu was literally inedible. The actual chicken meat was super thin so when they deep fried it that made it crazy hard. When I tell you that I was so glad I opted for the mix plate because I first considered getting the Katsu plate. If I would've ordered the Katsu I would've just eaten rice and mac salad. The Kalua Pork was my favorite protein. The BBQ Chicken did have a few hard pieces but it was good and so was the Garlic Shrimp. Lastly, the Macaroni Salad was pretty good and tasted like home but was the small container worth $3.99?? It barely looked like 2 scoops like it was last time. Also, while taking bites of salad, I did happen to bite into a couple inedible pieces of onion skin. This doesn't mean that we'll never return to this location. Maybe it was just an off day but I can say that it was definitely disappointing because the plates are not the cheapest.

This is a fast casual spot -- you order at the counter, they give you a ticket, and call your name when it's ready. No tip required, and service was really kind. The owner was there and was super nice as well. Seating is pretty unique: two long wooden benches, so you might end up sitting close to other diners, but it makes for a lively, friendly environment. They also have three unique sauces worth calling out: a spicy mayo (pretty standard, but rich and delicious), a curry mayo (strong curry flavor in every bite -- not for everyone, but I loved it), and a wasabi mayo (never had this before, and it was honestly great -- strong wasabi flavor that paired really well with my dish). Chicken Teriyaki Bento ($10.50, 7/10) -Comes with a side of rice and ginger, both of which paired really well with the wasabi mayo -Portion size was relatively large -- left me full, but really only enough for one person -Topped with a crunchy garlic/panko crunch that paired nicely with the chicken -Teriyaki sauce on top was a little too salty; would've been better with less salt -They give you a water bottle on the side, which was much appreciated since everything ran on the salty side Overall, a great fast casual spot to hang out with friends and get good food at a good price. Really enjoyed their three sauces -- the mayo, wasabi, and curry were all unique, and I haven't seen that combo anywhere else. Great to see that adventurous side.

Garlic Shrimp (Special): I ordered a side order of just the shrimp. I wish it was a bit more garlicky and salty, but otherwise, the shrimp are a decent size and not tiny. The truck has had a bit of a management change recently.... the original owners moved back to Hawaii in late 2025 to take of aging parents. In Hawaiian culture, a plate lunch includes two scoops of white rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and a heavy protein. Shoyu Sugar follows this plate lunch protocol.
