We got sat near the patio door and it was constantly opening and slamming shut with smoke wafting in. Service was fine but I didn't care for the beans at all. Watery and a bad taste. I got the enchiladas supremes and didn't care for how they had a huge pile of lettuce and sour cream and tomatoes on top. Bean enchilada was of course not good. At first I was skeptical because as of 4/16/25 they only had 3 stars. But it looks like those are mostly related to carry-out. I went in anyway, and everything was great. The "Chicken Stephen" (Arroz con Pollo w/ queso sauce) was fantastic. The homemade spicy salsa (upon request) was delicious. I should have ordered tortillas, since I saw they have a tortilla machine in the corner, but I forgot. I'm sure they would have been great as well. No issues whatsoever--would recommend. read more

Oh the food is so good here and so is the service. We've been twice in the past month. The homemade flour tortillas are wonderful. My husband had the fajitas and I had alambre the last time. Really large portions and so delicious! The chips are exceptional and so is the salsa. When we are in Conway, we'll definitely be back there. read more

1st Time Here. Wife and I tried this place for lunch and weren't disappointed. They had an all you can eat A La Carte so we strapped on the feed bags. As always, chips and salsa that were ok. Service was pretty good although our waiter disappeared after our food was delivered and we never saw him again till we paid the check. Food was great and for the price, I can't recall a time I ate more food for less than $6. We will definitely be back to put another hurtin' on that all you can eat deal, might have to bring some friends as well!!! read more

We ordered the chicken breast and shrimp dinners. It was bland as baby food. No one offered to fill our drinks or chip baskets. Just don't go there if you are not into bland Mexican food. I left almost two flattened chicken breasts on my plate along with half cooked green bell peppers. I told the cashier, and she either didn't understand English or didn't care. It was awful, with over salted shredded chicken on the bottom, maybe a 1/4 cup of lettuce in the middle, a sprinkle of diced tomato, and a plop of sour cream. No love in the prep of this thing, zero love. The salsa thin and tasteless. $9.00 out the door. The employees were on autopilot and without interest. First and last for me at this place. If you have any liking for any type of spice on your food do not eat here. The salsa is basically a can of tomato juice, the carne asada is comparable to eating a burnt piece of rubber shoe with zero flavor. The pico de Gallo is chopped up tomatoes. If you enjoy eating food with any bit of flavor please run. I don't believe this place will be open to disappoint much longer. Or at least I hope not. I just took my new girlfriend here. Haven't been in a few months and they've remodeled and have new menu. Missed the old ambience and menu was lacking some of my old favorites. We ordered and food came promptly. 1/2 a cold bottle of negra modelo and her a coors and we were ready. Enchilads with green sauce. Pretty run of the mill and NOT LaHuerta of old. Service is still best around and pricing is spot on but hey!!! Go back to old menu and find your old cook, give him a raise and keep him!! Not my fav anymore. So guess we'll find a new mexican place read more

A pretty darn good Mexican restaurant. A little off the main drag, but totally worth it. In my opinion, the best in Conway. The food is your standard Americanized Mexican menu. I personally love the Pollo La Huerta. The food is good, but the service is amazing. All the waiters are personal and friendly. Service is blazingly fast as well. These guys literally run from station to station. Its very impressive in person, especially when you are used to your waiter/waitress lallygagging around and taking their time. Excellent prices, great food. I highly recommend if you are time constrained at lunch. read more

One of the best Mexican Resutants in Conway. Great food and giant margaritas! Seriously, the size of your head. And they're great tasting margaritas too. Waaaaay better then Senor Tequila. Food was hot and delicious. I just had this last week and I'm craving it again. The only thing I didn't like was that the enchilada's lettuce and tomato side salad-ish stuff was served on top of my enchiladas. I just scrapped them off, no biggie. The food at La Huerta is what you expect from one of the many Mexican restaurants in town. It is good, but not much different from the other places in town. However, the service at this restaurant is excellent. The waiters literally run with plates of food and are extremely friendly. What do I have to say about La Huerta? Friggin awesome! So I sat in the bar because I heard that they had kareokee there, and I do a spot on rendition of Billy Joel's Piano Man. Anywho let us talk about the Margaritas. I know this is Conway, AR, but damn those Margaritas just take me away to the border of Mexico. I have never had such huge Margaritas, and let me tell y'all this... they do not go lite on the tequila. The servers were awesome and the DJ was a lively dude that kept me interested. Oh and the food is 'aight' just got crispy chicken tacos. But we all know that after a few Margaritas everything tastes amazing. I was going to give La Huerta a 5 star, and at the last second I did not only because I hold very high standards and save 5's for places that are truly a life enhancing experience. I am from Southern Arizona and have a hard time finding anything other than Tex-Mex food in Arkansas. This place makes it bearable to be so far from home. I had the beef chimi and my husband had the chicken fajitas. We were both very happy with our food. The flavors were great! The service was friendly and fairly fast, even though it was Sunday brunch time. I LOVE this place and will be back many times, I can already tell. read more

I have to start of by concurring with another review that this is pretty much you standard Americanized Mexican fare. That being said, it is consistently very appetizing! We make it a point to try and go here once every week and a half or so. The waitstaff is extremely attentive, personable and efficient. They recently added an outdoor patio at the end of summer. Let me state that I have been here once and have had take-out several times. In fact, it was left overs from my sister on one of her many trips to Conway from California. She loves those strips malls with great deals. Anyway, The food here is your typical Mexican/American menu. All I an say is that the food here is above the average and the portions are HUGE. I went with three other people and we all ordered our own entrees and hell, we could have split two between the four of us. They were huge. That leads to one of the left overs. The next day, as many leftovers are, it was even better. That to me was a sign that it was fresh and the ingredients had time to meld with each other and not become lost / bland as does most canned crap. Went there after church with my family. My wife and I orders were both wrong. I decided to eat mine cause I was hungry and wasn't in the mood to complain. My wife however did and was given more than we asked for. We explained we just wanted what she ordered but the waiter assured us it was ok since we are regulars at their establishment. Upon leaving our bill was extremely high and noticed we were charged extra. We talked to the manager thinking he appreciated our business after years of being a valued customer and since my order was also wrong would help. The manager laughs in her face and shrugs her off. He then looks around at other customers smiling. LA Huerta is definitely off our list and we are not returning. All three restaurants - El Patron, La Huerta and El Parian are owned by the same j.a. and let me tell you what, the food sucks!! If you order to go you will be sorely disappointed. They forget half your stuff or burn it, or plain cheat you out of it by giving you half of what would have been in the box if you were in the restaurant. Not only that, they have the audacity to charge you a "to go" fee. Really!! I have never had a restaurant do that one before except this cheap owner. Their cheese dip is a rip off, to say the least. My husband and I live in the area for school. We found this place as a happy accident a few years ago and this has become our go-to restaurant. We have gotten our meal down to a science, eating for less than Taco Bell price. Every entrée I have ordered has been delicious and the chips and salsa are the best I have ever had. The staff is wonderful, often asking how we are doing. The best thing about this place is the speed. In fact sometimes I wish it were slower so I could enjoy the chips and salsa longer. The only complaint I could imagine someone having would be the noise, as it is a very popular restaurant and almost always full of happy customers. Worst food I've ever eaten. The ground beef tasted like car exhaust and chlorine. It was so bad it made us sick, no one at my table could stomach it.
