I discovered a back area where you can put your car (through the cones!) so you have time to get food. It might just be me, but I love picadera platters. For my first time, what better way to gauge how great their food is than to have A LOT of it at once. The wait was a little longer than I'd like, but it was because someone took our food, their answer to that was an apology and pinchos on the house. No better way to apologize than delicious grilled meats w/ garlic bread. The picadera was tostones, fried pork, fries, chicharron de pollo and mofongitos. That bite of the masita with mofongo and a little mayoketchu completed me. I didnt need anything else, but that did not stop me from trying to eat this whole thing. My only issue at all was the fries could've been fried longer. They got a little soggy sitting with everything else, but sauce carried them. Will be back 100 times if I can. The rundown: though an extensive food truck menu with mostly impressive presentation, unfortunately they came off as overpriced and average. They also use a serrated knife on foil to cut foil wrapped sandwiches so use caution. The review: After passing this location for years, seeing how busy it was but concerned about the unique parking situation ( it was a very small lot and seemed like people have trouble getting in/out) I finally decided to give them a go on a quieter evening. The truck itself was lively and colorful, to locate the menu you need to go to the back end to view it. The first impression was overwhelming - TONS of fancy dessert drink options, an extensive menu below. But no pricing - which is never a good sign. I went with the tripleta cuerda. It came out to ~$18 and I found after getting the receipt found they charge a $.50 "ATM" fee for anyone using credit cards. The sandwich itself took ~30 minutes to receive. They are definitely geared towards to go which I can understand due to the limited parking. During the time there is no seating. Watched as people came and went from the lot. There were some strange odors that came and went, and I was not certain where those were coming from and did not want to know. I got my food and left, when finally able to eat my biggest concern is that while the presentation was actually nice for to go, they used a serrated knife to cut the sandwich wrapped in foil in half. This meant there were little foil pieces around the edges of the sandwich and inside, which was disappointed and had me uncomfortable eating the sandwich in full. After removing the edges near the cut I was more comfortable eating and the sandwich itself was good, but definitely not worth the cost. Overall, the experience was disappointing. If I were to return it would be to try one of their drinks which looked interesting but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so. read more

This was supposed to be a "tripleta" which was described with " Pollo , bacon , jamón , mayoketchup y cerdo" I got a chicken sandwich with ham . Not what I expected AT ALL, the papitas were outside instead inside on top of real French fries . I ordered a 10oz cup of mix mariscos which was supposed to have OCTUPUS, conch and shrimp .... What I received was 2 shrimps , 5-8 slices (small) of conch and No OCTUPUS and a lot of salad ...... I hope they take this reviews to grow as business ... This has been a long time coming! I finally made the trip to this food truck that has been highlighting my social media! After getting in the parking lot, which can be a pain to get into, I walked up to their massive menu. Some pics can be found online to give you a better idea on what you're going to order. My wife and I ordered the churrasco and mofongo burger, and tostones as an app, then we ordered the famous frappes! We selected the kit kat, and reeses frappe. The frappes came out before the meal, so you get your dessert first! The frappe does taste exactly like you choice in flavor as I tasted a strong chocolate peanut butter flavor with my frappe, as my wife's had a exact taste of Kit Kat, they also dress up this frappe with whipped cream, sprinkles, a swiss roll, chocolate covered strawberries, and the candy of your flavor, as mine had a reeses cup, and hers had a couple of kit kats in her beverage. The dinner was on another level! For starters, my mofongo burger had some weight to it! The sandwich was too big to take a solid bite, but man was it good, it also came with some fries which weren't bad. My wife's churrasco came with garlic sauce that complemented the steak very well, along with her side of mofongo. The tostones, lasted the trip home since we brought the food home, and tasted just as good as if it came out fresh! I love this place, the drinks and the food are delicious. The only reason why I am taking a star off is because the line is super long and the wait for food is just as long. Expect to get here and wait, even when the lines isn't long, the food takes a while to come out! Otherwise, we always order a few frappes, I think the Nutella is by far the best, such a classic and sooo delicious. My parents usually order food on the side and it's authentic and delicious as well. I would say that I really just visit for the frappes, they are a good size and decently priced for everything that you get. Didn't mind it, until I realized I had ordered the food backwards... didn't change the quality at all. The woman working must have thought I was crazy. Ordered tostones with bacon and cheese on top, as well as something else I can't remember the name of. But was fries topped with potato sticks with ham, chicken, and cheese all over it. As well as a pink, sweet sauce. Then for dessert I got a cheesecake frappe that cake topped with an entire slice of cheesecake, a cookie, two chocolate covered strawberries and whipped cream!!!!!! I gave this place 5 stars on my first visit and after visiting them a few times, it is still a 5 stars experience. Extravagant, over the top, eye-catching frappes. They treat their beverages like artwork. They probably have 40 different selections, but I am not sure how many they actually have. I had the boricua frappe on my first visit, but they no longer served it. We decided to try their Skittles frappe - delicious and refreshing. It tastes just like Skittles! The toppings are creative. The drink had two huge chocolate covered strawberries, a mountain of whipped cream, cookies, and some sweet and sour candy. This is not the place to visit if you're watching your waistline. Besides wonderful frappes, they also sell food. They have a combo meal where you order two kabobs and it comes with the tostones and bread for 8 bucks. It's a little food truck located right next to McDonalds and there's some seating behind the truck. The employees are really friendly and they do take their time preparing your order. The food and the drinks are so good! The parcha and tamarindo are sweet but they don't have that watered down taste that most restaurants have. In one week we've eaten 4 times here. The Jibarito burger is LEGIT! It's fried plantain instead of hamburger buns and Sweet Baby Jesus it is amazing! You can always order ahead but we like to order there. There's a few things going on in this place so I'll be as clear as possible. 1 location, if you blink you'll miss it, yea it's a big food trailer but it's a little set back with a 1 car driveway and if you miss it you'll have to make a 5 minute drive around. 2 There's parking for about 10 cars with no seating options at all so plan on taking it home or eating in the car. 3 They're busy but fairly quick to serve you. Food was Great! I had the Pork and chicken skewers( pinchos) with the side of Tostones ( fried plantains), yum!!! For Dessert I has the Frappe(PR Milkshake) best I can describe it... A friend of mine sent me pictures of some of the shakes that they offered and I knew I had to try the place. when I got there I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of food options as well as shakes. I decided to try the tripleta. I was not disappointed. It was absolutely delicious and the fries with the tripleta topping were equally as amazing. I only managed to eat about half. Update: my husband got sick, kept going to the bathroom. Original: Very disappointing. $18 for lobster mofongo meal, wasn't seasoned and just a dry tail. Then it was on top of an old iceberg lettuce and a old slice of tomato salad. Then got a fried chicken mofongo meal and it was just bad cut up chicken with tons of bones, super hard to eat. The oil was old, the chicken was really dark. Same deal, the mofongo was on top of a sad salad. Doesn't make sense to put warm food on cold food, just a waste of space and money.
