The pastries were tasty and the voice hit the spot. I had the almond crescent, which was light and flaky, but also moist and buttery.

We'd originally planned to dine at La Sirene, but arrived to find a long line and an employee…read moreletting us know they were already full. Walking past La Belle Normande, the crepes being made caught our eye and drew us in. The ambiance inside was pleasant enough. But the food itself was underwhelming. The sandwich was tough to chew and very light on meat and cheese. You're essentially paying a premium for bread. Everything tasted fine, just pretty basic. For the price and crowd size, I expected more. The staff seemed stretched thin, and the value just wasn't there. Good for a quick bite if you're nearby and patient, but temper your expectations.

If you're looking for some decently priced (loosely used given the tourist prices here) and quick…read morefood, this is probably your best option. It's located on the way up (or down in our case) from the Abbey. They have crepes, galettes, sandwiches, fries, and soda. We got both the sweet and savory crepe and a sandwich. Nothing to write home about, but it filled our stomachs and gave us energy to get back on the bus back to Paris that evening. They have dining in a small section upstairs and some seating downstairs, and they ask you to wait until you're called to come get your food so it doesn't hold up the line since it's a small entryway. I think they had a bathroom, but I didn't use it. Like I said, don't except much from the food here, my sandwich had maybe a slice of cheese and one tomato in it and the rest was all bread/baguette. It'll give you some quick energy and there is a gelato shop not too far if you want something cooler during the hotter months.

Oh my goodness! We decided on a 3 cheese quiche, croque monsieur, desserts, nuts, candies! They have been voted as having the best Normady croissant in 2025! A charming French patisserie with friendly and accomodating staff. They also have tea service during specific times So

The ceiling is painted like the sky and the moulding and chandelier give it an elegant look that just feels perfect in a little French town. Now to the good stuff. The pastries are top notch. Our only regret is that we didn't have enough days and time here to try them all. Everything is freshly baked and delicious. Over the course of a few days we tried classics and some new twists. My favorite is the pan au chocolate with cherry glaze and pistachio cream. Definitely an elevated chocolate croissant. The bacon and cheese quiche was also quite delicious. A nice surprise was the pistachio and white chocolate cookie which was nice and crispy on the outside but still moist on the inside and tasted wonderful. It is a small bakery, but they do have a nice selection of drinks as you'd expect from a cafe. If you choose to eat at the patisserie vice takeout they will seat you and then take your order. If it's not busy you'll get served very quickly. Truly a great place and hopefully we'll be back someday.
