These tacos were delightful, and although this place had a Mexican bar and grill vibe, a bit more coastal for my liking, I enjoyed it here tremendously, and even was in the mood for a beer with my food. I only took a picture of the menu, but the tacos al pastor didn't look any different than at other places. We also ordered a queso fondu which was really good. There is an English menu available online but not in the restaurant. Here's where I get confused. The service is excellent, full white tablecloth treatment, old-school European style. No detail is missed. Then we get to the food. It's really pretty good, all told. Here's where the attention to details goes sideways. The bread rolls felt as if they had been sitting since yesterday. The beans, although delicious, had sat around on the plate long enough to be room temperature and develop a crust. The totopos stuck in the beans were in the beans long enough to get soggy. The rice served alongside the moles was barely above room temperature and a bit dried out. All the food, in general, needed to arrive from the kitchen much warmer. Essentially, anything that could be made ahead of time was, and then left sitting out. It doesn't fit and I don't get it.

I thought nothing of it because the tacos are pretty much great anywhere and everywhere in Mexico, but I was immediately impressed. The tacos here are great! I especially like the al pastor ones, but what really makes them extra tasty are their salsas! They have four, but their green avocado one will take your tacos to the next level! What really makes me love this place and is the big reason for the 5 stars are their licuados! They.Are.Amazing! Especially their licuado de mamey!! Mamey is this incredible fruit that is just perfect for a smoothie because it's so creamy. The US unfortunately doesn't have this fruit, so I make sure to make a stop here whenever I'm in Puebla visiting. It's just THAT good. Haha I cannot recommend this smoothie enough to all of you! Note: their large is really large. More than enough for 2 people to enjoy :)
