Went to Mexico and stayed at the VI resorts. Checked out this restaurant which is located inside the resort and they featured that it was steak night. Ordered the rib eye and the shrimp. The cut of the meat was perfection. Cooked perfectly and the shrimp was delicious . The Sweet corn cake ended the meal to the tee. The waiters were friendly and the service was top notch. The restaurant is beach side so you feel a soothing breeze and the waves faintly crashing in the distance. Perfect for date night. I would recommend this place for anyone visiting Mazatlán. read more

Food was great, service was great, couldn't ask for better ambiance. Got the special, which included steak, eggs, chilaquiles, beans, guacamole, and tortillas. The steak was super tender and very flavorful. Chilaquiles were mild, tortillas tasted freshly made. Bloody Mary was good too! read more

We got the "taste of Mexico" meal (~$30 person). It had a small piece of filet mignon - very good, a quesadilla, a very dry chicken enchilada, rice, beans and guac. We went to their cafeteria for coffee and a cinnamon roll in the morning too- good latte, dry day old cinnamon roll. We were offered a free lunch from the timeshare too. I had garlic chicken and my mother had a taco salad. Seriously not worth it even if it's free. Not cheap go elsewhere. I think it is just for timeshare holders looking to stay in the resort and too lazy to explore. Not good Mexican food at all TBH read more

I have to say that the wait staff is exceptional at La Palapa. Whether you're eating in the restaurant or lounging by the pool. They are attentive, hard working and kind. The food is also great. I love this place. We sat at a table on the sand and watched the water and the tourists and the vendors while we drank local beer and at guac and chips (which was delicious- as is the local beer). It's a fun place to go and I think Elizabeth Taylor used to go here. But even if she didn't, it's a great place. read more

We enjoyed this restaurant while at Torres. Prices were reasonable and the food was good. Juan, our bartender, was great and gave us some great advice. We pretty much lived off Ceviche and guacamole, but also tried their special that came in a stone bowl and was very good. If you want authentic ceviche you need to let your bartender or waiter know that you do not want them to cook the shrimp or octopus prior and just cooked it in lime juice. They have very good Mexican food, but they are definitely working to make sure they keep the type of guest who voted for Trump from getting upset. read more

We stay next door at the Costa Bonita Paraisa 1 & its a nice walk over to this place! We all love the tortilla soup - Thick and creamy and very filling! The service here is great, there are many options for seating. The only thing our group did not care for was the drinks! They were fine some of the time, but for the most part everything seems to have a strong syrupy and soda water taste to it. Our margaritas and Sangria were not good - They tasted like seltzer water. Just doesn't taste like authentic drinks we were expecting :/ Overall though if you avoid that, the place is great! We will be back. read more

Great restaurant, breathtaking views! This place is awesome. I would highly recommend this place. Check before you go as they often have themed menu's. You can always order off of their regular menu but their theme nights (bbq night, prime rib night, italian night, etc) are always good too. Fajitas are great, Shrimp is huge. Everything made fresh. Best guacamole i have ever had and their salsa is amazing too. Waitstaff 5 stars too. Paco, Martin, Ismael, Enrique, all rock the house and are super friendly. read more

Have been here twice in the last week. First time we had a hamburger which was very nice with good service making us want to come back. Second time I ordered the tuna steak (ahi) rare - It came out from the kitchen almost well done and nothing we tried could get the attention of the wait staff who were just standing around chatting. One waiter rolled by and asked if we wanted more beverages without stopping (at least it was a token effort...). Sadly after that experience we will not be returning as there are many other restaurants to try nearby. read more

I have been coming here for years, mostly because we have a timeshare here. This restaurant is the best, this week so far we have had shrimp, mahi mahi, home made granola, huevo ranchero and lots of chips and guacamole, plus 2 for one drinks of all brands imaginable. The food is awesome! Everything my husband and I have had there is wonderful! The taco salad is something I dream of at home in the US! The flan is the best we've ever had anywhere!
