The store stands alone in a small building at the back of Ford Road not far from Mills Branch. As you enter you are greeted by several aisles of various grocery items from pots and pans to spices, rice, canned goods and other things but with one big difference from other corner grocery stores as this one caters to the Indo-Pakistan clientele or folks looking for something a bit different than what is offered at Kroger or HEB! I met the young man behind the counter where you can order food to eat at their small sitting area or to take away, he is the owners son and was so friendly and helpful at advising me on what was offered on the menu. Everything is made cooked to order so you are encouraged to browse the store while he gets your food ready. They have a full butcher shop that handles meat in the Halal tradition, which to be honest treats the animals with respect before they are to be dispatched. They had several cuts of lamb, beef and chicken as well as goat and they can custom cut orders. Keep in mind a regular chain grocery store only receives meat in what are called packer cuts, never the entire animal. Here you can even pick out and purchase your choice of meat and they will dispatch it and butcher it to your order. They also sell their pre-made kebab for you to take home and grill. In the end I had an order of the Vegetable Samosa to start and the Chicken Kebab Naan Roll. I think it ran around $11 and the Naan roll was large and very filling, you can get it with fries but I decided to just have the roll. It was a bit spicy which I liked. The potato filling for the Samosa was very tasty with wonderful spices. I was so hungry I ate it up and forgot to take a picture! This is the place to come when you need spices from this region including the Middle East, spices like cumin, chili powders and the more unusual for a western menu like Fenugreek seed, cumin seed, mace and many more. They have lots and lots of pre-mixed spices for kebabs, curries and favorites like Chicken Tikka. I know I will be coming back here, the food is great and we need to support these small family run businesses.

I've heard of burgers at car washes but never burgers at a grocery store/laundromat. Yep, they own the laundromat next door too. I came mainly for the burger and jalapeno poppers, but sadly they no longer have the latter, not enough people ordered them. I simply ordered a burger basket with onion rings instead of fries, big mistake! The onion ring breading was so rock hard, it hurts my mouth when I tried to bite into them. The burger weighs in at about 1/3 pound and is pressed very thin. It resembles and tastes nearly identical to Whataburger, with exception of one important thing, they use fresh ground beef here. No surprise a lot of Yelpers mention Whataburger in their reviews. My patty was cooked medium, but they don't ask how you want it cooked. The burger normally comes with toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard and mayo. I added sliced, pickled jalapenos for free at the suggestion of the lady taking my order. I also added a 500 mL Mexican Coke and the total came out to about $7. They also use American cheese, so I skipped that. As compared to Hippo burger, which I had to pass just to get here, I like the buns here more, since they hold up well. However, Hippo has a more flavorful beef patty, and it's thick which is my preference. Average service when placing my order, but the man at the cash register was very friendly and seemed like one of the owners. They don't have anywhere to sit down inside, so its definitely to-go only. Next time I come back, I'll try a double burger with fries.
