This is one of those deceptive bars that looks very small from the street but inside has rather more space for diners. Located on the small tree-lined square at the southern end of the pedestrianised shopping street of Carrer Caputxins, it's actually a bar-restaurant, serving traditional Catalan tapas, sandwiches and snacks, as well as drinks.
However, what grabs the attention behind the bar are the long rows of beer bottles. While some are clearly just there for show - a bottle collection, in fact they also sell the widest range of beers we've found in Vilanova, with around 25 different types on offer.
As well as Spanish beers, there is an impressive imported range: Belgian, German and Dutch lagers, including strong (and delicious) Trappist beers (up to 10% ABV) one is appropriately called 'Satan', although this was 'only' 8% ABV. They also sell bottled London Pride from Fuller's for those feeling really homesick. There's also Guinness and two continental lagers on tap, including Affligem.
The bar has a loyal, mostly younger following, and in summer has seating outside in the square. read more
