What a shame! I was the first to review this place 8 years ago. This is the best place outside of Mexico I have ever been too. The staff is outstanding, the food even better. I travel from Sacramento to Oceanside every year, and I stop here on my way back to pick up adobada tacos, and, raw meat to cook at home with my homemade tortillas. Also get a tub of roja salsa. Great food and salsas! I never had a Mexican salsa so bomb before!! You can taste the chili in the red salsa and it is fiiirreee! I am in love with this place. Ordered 3 asada tacos and I am full!! But I want to keep eating because the salsa is so good! I love how they bring the condiments on the side. Only thing was I had to ask for the chips and salsa. So glad we needed gas in Earlimart! I could tell right away this place was going to be money. First thing I have to say is you can taste how fresh every ingredient is, from the garnish to the salsa, all the way to the meat. I ordered the carne asada quesadilla and it was FIRE! Good food here. I've had their burritos, tacos, quesadillas but I admit my favorite is their mulas. It's a quesadilla with hand made corn tortillas and your choice of meat. The salsa that comes with the chips looks deceptively mild, but is nice and jalapeño spicy. Your order comes with an accompanying trio: another salsa made from dried chilies, an avocado sauce, and sliced cucumbers. Also comes with lemon wedges. I called them to make sure they were open and even placed an order to pick up even after they were starting to close. I ordered a carnitas quesadilla and my husband got an adobada burrito. I've always wanted to stop at this truck next to the railroad tracks so on my trip back from Yosemite I did just that. It was like 100+ degrees outside and decided to eat outside under their covered patio. They had a swamp cooler which made it dare I say pleasant? Lol. Okay so I ended up ordering Asada tacos, pastor tacos, vampiro and cerviche tostada. The food took a little bit to come out because of the amount of people that had ordered before me but it wasn't too bad 10min? During that time I smacked on the free chips and REALLY GOOD SALSA, heat with a touch of sweet. When the food came out they also brought a platter with the necessities... Lime, cilantro, onions, red salsa, radish, and green sauce. Note the green sauce was very bland, but the rest was as it should be. Okay now the tacos! Very generous with the meats, tender and juicy with great flavor. Great tacos..... Next was the vampiro, again tons of good asada with cabbage and sauce all on top of a tostada? With melted cheese under the rest. Lastly was the tostada de cerviche. It was fresh, clean, flavorful and a good amount of shrimp. Perfect for a hot day. All I can say is wow. Really impressed with the taco stand. Step inside the canopy and you feel like you're inside some authentic mexican restaurant with tables decorated and mexican music playing. You order at the trailer which I had carne asada and al pastor tacos and I ate there so the lovely cashier also doubled as a waitress said to have a seat and she will bring the food out and pay when you're finished eating. As she brought my food out she was carrying two trays one for my tacos and the other for all the condiments for the tacos. Which included salsa,cabbage,onion mixed with cilantro,sliced cucumbers and lemon wedges. What a great taco stand in a little town. Homemade tortillas!! Shrimp tacos were definitely some of the best I've ever had. I was initially hesitant because of the slaw topping but seriously it made it 10000x better. I've also had their asada tacos and no complaints. Love coming here with my dad when we're out in the fields. It's a cute little taco truck with a patio type seating area. Ok, this literally really trully is a little trailer on a gravel lined parking lot in the middle if almost nowhere. The owner can be seen making tortillas by hand, salsas are fresh and service is great. You will feel as though you are in Mexico, from the food, ambiance to table setting. After spending the weekend in L.A on our drive home my husband and I were hungry. I looked up places to eat at this small town and after reading the reviews we decided to stop here. We ordered 2 Asada burritos and a soda. Paid $15 normal price for 2 burritos from a taco truck stand. It took them over 25 mins to make 2 burritos. We got our burritos to go because it is an easy meal to eat when you are on the road. When we opened up our burritos we couldn't believe how small they were. After taking a bite we noticed our burritos only had can beans and Asada meat with a lot of fat. No salsa, no rice nothing just can beans and meat. I have never experienced ordering a burrito from a taco stand or taco truck like this. I was so upset after waiting so long for our food we ended up with one of the worse burritos I've EVER had and they were overly priced for what we got. I would NEVER eat here again and think people should be more honest about their ratings and reviews here. read more
