La Perla is my favorite store for anything Michael Aram. I am a big fan for his work and every time I want an item from them, the have it! They have anything Michael Aram I can think of. Im extremely disappointed at their customer service as a preferred customer. My purchased 3 items yesterday and I went in today for an exchange with original receipt. The ladies told me I can exchange for same total amount. I picked 2 Michael Aram items, one was the butterfly salt/pepper holder which was labeled $100 on tag and the butterfly 5x7 frame. The lady with red curly hair charged me original price and refused to give me discount as preferred customer since my husband didn't provide my name when purchasing the gifts. I said fine, no worries. She then charged my $105 instead of $100 saying they haven't out the new price tags on yet. I said ur item on display table has it priced $100 and thats what customer service should be since thats the price I went with, she argued and said no we haven't had time yet to change tags. And to top it off she charges me $15 for tax just for the frame and another $15 for the frame. I said, why are you charging me 15% tax, she had no explanation but just said thats how much we charge on tax! Wow!! Total thieves!!! Venus gifts in glendale rocks and will always keep their customers because of their prices and customer service and im glad im one of their customers. I refuse to go back to Perla due to the lack of customer service and total rip off!! I will never ever go back. If anyone wants to be robbed and charged for extra bullshit, then make sure to stop and visit Perla to know for yourself. As an Armenian, I always support Armenian small business instead of bigger companies but it's a shame how they talk n treat you when they know you can afford it. Hence why they will never compare to other small businesses. You totally lost a customer today and I will make sure to let others who shop there to go elsewhere instead. read more

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Awful customer service. DO NOT go here they'll rip you off. I got a Michael Aram cake holder as a gift and since I already had this piece I took it back to exchange it with something else with a gift receipt. The store had a 30% off event on all Michael aram stuff and so it happened the gift I got was purchased under that 30% deal. Now when I tried to return this item the owner/ manager was trying to deduct the price my friend paid from what I was gonna purchase and then give me the 30% off which made absolutely no sense. So when I brought it up to him that why doesn't he just refund me the money and I'll purchase whatever I want he said they don't do any refund while they advertise even here on yelp and all over that they do easy refunds. However what pissed me off the most was when he tried to tell me what he was trying to do we're rules of the store and " you would know if you had a business " now we own 2 businesses and I've never heard such thing. He then started raising his voice at me while they were other customers inside the store. It couldn't get more unprofessional than that. So I ended up leaving the store. Overall worse customer service I'm never ever going back there and I don't think anyone else should you'll regret it. read more

Great Place!!! The best customer service ever! Seriously, I've purchase (2) items at La Perla recently. One of them was expensive and one was very very inexpensive. I was treated like a king both times. Each time, the items were wrapped beautifully. It is a great place to start when buying gifts and they will help you find just what you need. Seems like I am in the minority, but I did not have a good experience at this store. I live in Montrose and pass by La Perla often. Today, something in the window caught my eye, so I decided to go in. The store itself is beautiful and clean. There's lots of stuff to see on the many displays scattered throughout. However, many of the items I was interested in were not labeled with prices. On top of that, there was nobody on the floor offering to help and tell you prices. I walked up to the register to ask for assistance, and I ended up leaving empty handed because I got frustrated with the situation. If you have items out with no prices, that is okay, but please make sure you have sales attendants on the floor to help customers too. read more

I'm so glad I discovered this place one day as I was walking down the street! The employees were very nice and seemed very knowledgeable about the products in the store. They had a ton of Michael Aram products, which is exactly what I was looking for. They had all of the candles (which I couldn't find at department stores!) so I got to see and smell each one before picking out the best one for my friend's bridal shower. They also had a bunch of beautiful jewelry and gorgeous greeting cards too. The best part is that I don't have to go to the mall and fight for a parking spot at Macy's to buy Michael Aram stuff. Cute little boutique in the heart of Montrose. They have a good selection of very modern bracelets, necklaces and home decor at very affordable prices. They usually have good sales on a pretty good selection of inventory. The owner is very sweet and helpful. They are going to move a few doors down to a larger space in September to accomadate a larger incoming inventory. read more

I have shopped here for years and really do enjoy the store. I came in with my child and basically got kicked out because my child was looking for something to buy. We got treated as if he was causing a disturbance or something. They should put a sign saying no kids allowed if they don't want their customers coming in with their kids. I absolutely love visiting this store. It has a comforting small business feel with so many perfect gifts that I usually have a difficult time deciding. They carry the entire Michael Aram collection and other unique designers. I had a lot of help from a young woman named Talar. She helped me choose between several item, she was very patient with me and exceptionally knowledgeable about all of the collections. After choosing my item I was pleasantly surprised when they began gift wrapping my purchase AND placed it into a very cute matching gift bag. When I finally made the drive from Orange County to their beautiful store... I WAS BLOWN AWAY. The customer service is ABOVE and BEYOND anything I've ever experienced. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Hratch. He was so helpful and NICE. I believe it was his beautiful wife who packaged up all of my gift purchases so quickly and elegantly, including gift cards, and offered to ship to my recipients for me. They really take pride in their upscale business, and it shows. Their prices are the BEST.. so if you go to Bloomie's Home Store, or Neiman's or any of the major retailers and see a gift you like, do yourself a favor and call Hratch, and he will give you better service.. even over the phone. Now, whenever I need a gift, I call La Perla Design Gallery, and they take care of it for me. SO SIMPLE! So beautifully wrapped.. Oh, and their jewelry is very gorgeous and unique. La Perla Design Gallery is my favorite little shop in Montrose! Every single time I come here to buy a gift I leave extremely happy. I love the store owner, she is the sweetest and most kind lady. She works with any budget. She also wraps the gifts beautifully with love and lets you know the person receiving can exchange for something else if they don't like it. (They never return anything because they usually LOVE it!) They have many many Michael Aram pieces here that they do not carry at Neiman Marcus & Bloomies. They also have a ton of pomegranate pieces and handmade ornaments for your Christmas tree which I love! I also adore the handmade cards and go extremely well with the beautifully wrapped present. They also make necklaces with Armenian and Arabic writing (very reasonable prices) and they carry Armenian letters for your Alex & Ani bracelet - which they have an amazing selection of! read more

I don't remember her name but this store owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Her service should be an example to all business owners as to what customer service really is. Such a cute, little store, with very unique pieces. I went just because the window display is so eyecatching. I went in right when she was about to close and she spent so much time giving me details on many of her pieces of jewelry and houseware. I love the fact that you don't have to walk into a huge department store in order to get the designer items. I went into Neiman Marcus last week and they didn't even have the Michael Aram new collection that she had! If you want to be ahead of everyone, definitely stop by La Perla.
