One of the entrees was a rolled pork, that's tendered and went really well with the broiled leek. The other entree was a veal with juicy mushrooms. Dinner was ended with a creme brûlée that was light and not so sweet, rich chocolate ice cream, chocolate mousse with crunchy chocolate balls and popcorn and rhum gourmand that consisted of coffee, rum, chocolate mousse and a sesame ice cream with peanut brittle. Service was great and timely. Great recommendations on wine to pair with the food too.

The fields and chateau in the distance really transports you to another realm. The food is exceptionally good and creative without being ridiculous. The flavors are expressive, familiar, but not unapproachable. Most of the courses impressed although none really stood out above any other. And of course the service was top notch. Nothing was missed and the staff were kind, patient, and attentive. This is where they earned their second Michelin star. I definitely recommend checking La Grand Vigne if you're in Bordeaux and enjoy fine dining.
