We will start off by saying that the manager here isn't even a colorist, so her imput was purely a lie! My stylist was new to the salon but assured me she was experienced and could do what I asked for another lie! Spent 4 hours in this place being faced away from the mirror and was only turned around to see the mess once completed. The wrong tonner was used, and the color wasn't achieved when I questioned it. She tried to explain but couldn't see what was wrong and went to get the manager who tried to convince me that it looked like the picture upon calling the senior stylist over who agreed with me my ash blonde was infact gray. Once I had the detox shampoo done, I left and was advised to come back the next day, hoping it would be resolved. I'm not 100% happy. I have all kinds of blonds going through my hair, which had endless excuses of how many shades of ash there are, but that was discussed but not delivered then they tried to blame it on the toner I mean I wasn't born yesterday the excuses they tried to pull on me where embarrassing all because they couldn't handle criticism. Paid up couldn't take anymore. My stylist kept trapping my feet in the chair and, 1 time, even laughed the shampoo area, which is poorly planned, meant she couldn't even wash my hair properly. I had toner all over me, and I was soaked. My haircut is so bad I have to go to another salon because I've lost my trust in this establishment. I had been a religious customer of Le Pomponnee in Mt. Lebanon for 14 years until January 2017. It used to be *the* place to go -- but it's been going downhill for years. I had always put up with the attitude -- so they try to be overly chic, I can survive. Even with the new design, there is still dirt on the floors, water stained ceiling tiles, torn capes and chalking showing in the bathroom. I wonder how dirty the materials and tools are that are used to care for me, if this is what I *can* see? My last two hair colors were nowhere near perfect, leaving me looking three shades too light and way too dry. At $150+ for hair color with no cut, I don't think it is outside my expectations to want to leave looking lovely. I had an equal experience with my last brow wax. My brows did not even have an arch, and I had to have them redone later that week by the sweet little old lady who does my nails--at half the cost. I have found a new salon that does not supply me a glass of cheap wine when I walk in, but does supply a lovely, natural looking hair color and clean surroundings by talented individuals. read more

I usually get my nails done in Wexford, but I thought I could get the job done over lunch. I quickly got an appointment with the nail technician, which was great since I waited until the last minute! I had acrylic solar nails and had tried to remove them myself to no avail. I had about 85% of the acrylic left on my nails and knew I needed professional help. I was bummed when I found out the salon did not have a dremel to grind off the acrylic. I had to sit with acetone-soaked gauze wrapped around my nails and put my hands in heated mitts to get the acrylic off. It took a couple of cycles of this and lots of scraping with an orange stick. The nail tech was patient, but it was clear she didn't have a lot of experience with acrylic nails/removal. After my nails were buffed, I had a nice sea salt and oil scrub which was followed up by a hand massage. I typically enjoy this, but the lotion was pretty oily and left my hands really greasy. I had noticed prior to getting my nails polished that all of the acrylic wasn't removed; therefore, my nails looked a bit 'lumpy' after the polish was applied. I also still have polish on my cuticles. I sat under the light/fan for 12 minutes. Halfway through, the nail tech rubbed oil on my nails...a lot of oil. After the 12-minute drying session was over, my hands were so greasy I couldn't touch anything. I wouldn't have cared too much, but I think the oil hindered the drying process, so my polish ended up getting nicked, dented, and chipped before I made it back to the office. I understand trying to get it done in the time allotted, but it still needs to be done right. I now have to go home and redo my nails, so I basically ended up wasting time and money. read more

The Aveda products they have are amazing. I had Stacie the first time and she did a great job dying and cutting my hair. Aaron did a nice job of cutting my hair but had a tough time matching the color to the natural color of my roots, even when I suggested going lighter. It ended up too red as well so they had to use toner which I ended up having to pay for. read more

I recommend La Pomponnee. I had my wedding day hair, makeup, and manicure done at La Pomponnee (by Emily), and she did a wonderful job. She took my suggestions and created a look I really loved. Emily also cuts my hair when I am in town, as I love a long way away, and I greatly appreciate that she fits me in. read more

The salon is beautiful and the employees are always helpful and respectful. Caitlyn has been waxing my eyebrows for a couple months now, and they honestly look fantastic each and every time I leave! I use this salon for waxing only, and have been very happy with my experiences with Jayne. She is so patient, makes my eyebrows look amazing, and will deal with me being a bit nervous during bikini waxes, ha.
