Avoid these people, just hopeless. Called 5 days in advance of a party for which I wanted to order a cake, with no response. Texted 3 days in advance (true, on a Sunday), with an auto-acknowledgment saying text received and a response would be coming shortly. Received no response. Called, was put on hold, couldn't wait. Called back again, spoke to a customer service rep who said they could prepare the cake, then when I went to fetch my credit card, customer rep put me on hold, then came back on and told me they couldn't do it. Asked for a recommendation to another bakery, called their recommended baker, who said they could have done it had they had one more day, but in the time they had, after the time Promenade wasted, they couldn't do it. When you step inside the bakery you'll notice that there isn't much room to look around, the building may be large, but the shop itself is quite small. They can also make a vegan cake. My friend had a vegan cake at her wedding that was delicious. No one could tell it was vegan. Our cakes was chocolate with fruits inside. It was not light on the thighs either haha. The espresso chocolate lollipops were addicting! The cake mix was moist on the inside, and the chocolate was firm to create a sturdy outer crust. Ohhhhh... we chose La Promenade to stop and get some delicacies. They have churros today which were deliciousssss !!! I ate a donut filled w/Nutella; it was glazed and had almond on top. My husband wanted a glazed chocolate donut and another filled with Nutella and Boston cream. We think that for that kind of beautifully donuts, the owner maybe can wrap them in a box, because when we wanted to eat them, they were squashed and the glazed on the top was almost disappeared. This cake was amazing! I came into the shop when I was visiting the area and the staff was so helpful describing everything in the showcase. When they said chocolate cake with cannoli filling, I knew I had to have it. The cake was very moist and delicious with thick layers of chocolate chip cannoli filling. And it was so beautiful I was able to use it as a prop for photos of my nephew! One warning - ask for prices before you decide on something. I was a bit surprised that this cake was $55 - I would have gotten it anyway but my dad was paying and so this was a bit of a shock for him and I must admit I didn't think it would be that pricey. read more

They specialize in croughnuts which are a cross between a croissant and a donut. However, I prefer all there other deserts. Their pastries are absolutely delightful. Especially the ones with chocolate. They also make a really good chocolate croissant. They also cater and offer food all served in a beautiful display of class. Last month we hosted a party for 60 people in our backyard, catered by La Promenade and lead by Corey. All tables, chairs and decor, were beautifully set, guests arrived and the catering team was ready. Well, unexpectedly (or maybe expectedly when there is no tent) it started drizzling. La Promenade staff was still serving appetizers amongst the guests, who were taking some cover under trees and outdoor umbrellas; while the Lady Bartender stood with an umbrella in one hand, while mixing drinks with the other...Rain got strong. Change of plan! We invited all guests into the house (not too big) and abandoned the outdoor arrangement. Corey and his La Promenade team got into action. They set up a new bar in the corner of the dining area and started cooking in the kitchen where people were gathered as well; leaving them only a few inches of free area to work, cook, clean and wash. They rearranged the furniture so we can fit as many people in the living room, dining area and kitchen and also setting a corner for the DJ and his station, so we can dance too. Thanks to the efforts of this team - we had a great party, great food, desserts and coffee, excellent service. Everybody left happy...fun night after all. 30 minutes later the catering team was done, ready to go, leaving the house spotless, like we never had a party. We were shocked! My family is fairly new to town and I wanted to like this place so much based on reviews. But how horrible everything tastes. My son was interested in ordering a cake for his birthday. To get an idea on flavors, we purchased a $25 cake and took it home to try. It was one of the worst cakes I have ever had in my life. The buttercream smelled funny and had a sour aftertaste. The cake itself was dry and stale. The proportions of cake to cream were entirely off. Never too much buttercream when it is delicious but not in this instance. I called to discuss how the cake was spoiled and was asked to bring it in. When I brought it in, the woman agreed that the cake should not have tasted like this or been so dry that it wouldn't hold when cut. So instead of offering me a new cake or even a refund, what does she do? She keeps the $25 cake that I brought back and gives me 2 dry and equaling horrible tasting cupcakes that total $7. Bad taste, bad customer service and crooks. If someone returns uneaten cake because it is spoiled, the very least you can do is refund the customer their money. Why do people give this place good reviews. Please avoid businesses that operate by taking advantage of people. Update on the cupcakes they swapped the cake with: the cake part was cardboard-like and taste-less on the chocolate. The carrot cupcake was undercooked. The sugar in the cream cheese frosting was not completely integrated. Gross all around. This store does not know or bake a good cake/cupcake. read more

The food is yummy. It's fresh and presented in clear, or aluminum topped containers, you can heat or freeze. The service is congenial and people do their best to move things along. Bring one of your reusable bags; you'll be buying more than you intended to. The prices are fair, given the quality and freshness of the products here. I had an amazing first experience with this bakery! I ordered a custom cake for my parents 25th anniversary THE DAY BEFORE! I spoke with a girl on the phone who answered my long list of questions and helped me to pick the best cake flavors based on my parents' preferences. I ended up choosing a chocolate/vanilla cake, whipped cream and chocolate ganache. The girl even asked if I wanted fresh strawberries in the frosting, and of course I had to say yes! My parents absolutely LOVED the cake! They said it was super fresh, moist, not overly sweet, and beautifully presented. I will definitely be back for future custom cakes. I'm giving 2 stars for their cronuts we bought and zero for their service. We were so excited to go this place, however the experience was ruined by bad service. When we got there, there was a girl working who seemed very attentive serving another customer. We waited and another women(who had brown hair) working there came out to help us. However, she was so eager to get us out and rushing us about our order. There were only two customers including us in the enire store. She spoke so fast and did not answer my simple questions such as "do you have..? Which ones did you say you had?" I felt like we had to make our decision right away. I'm always willing to wait if I have to for good food and good service. I could have waited for the other women to help us, but she came out to help. Then, she should of helped us, not rush us out. I really don't understand what the deal was. I don't think I will return to this place despite the good reviews and will not have good things to say about it since I didn't have time or chance to order anything else. I originally ordered two cakes from La Promenade for my son's one year birthday. Kris, one of the employees, helped me and I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted. I paid for the cakes in advance without question. On the day I came to pick up the first cake, it was not what I had shown her in the picture at all (I had wanted buttercream wisps all around the cake and the one they made did not have them). I told her and she said the bakery could fix it, which I appreciated. When I asked her how much it would cost, she told me we would discuss "later". I found it strange that I wouldn't get the price up front (I'm not sure who buys something without knowing what it costs first), but I didn't push her and was hopeful that they understood it was a mistake on their part so they would not charge me. When I came back to pick up the cake, it was perfect BUT Kris told me she was giving me a deal by charging me $25 extra instead of the original price of $40. I paid for it, but told Kris I wish she had told me the price PRIOR to doing the work when I had asked her. First, they didn't make the cake I wanted (despite being shown a picture), charged me extra for work they should have done, and then had the audacity to tell me they were giving me a deal. $65 for a 4inch smash cake with buttercream - nothing extra special here. I accepted the charges because I know nothing about cakes (maybe buttercream is really expensive) and didn't make an issue but called back and canceled the second cake order which was for the next day. I didn't want to argue with them, just wanted to be done with it. When I spoke to Kris about issuing a refund, she told me how canceling the order was unfortunate because the bakery had done me a favor and gone out of their way to help me. I thanked her and explained that the bakery didn't do me a favor by fixing the cake to meet the specifications I asked for, that they agreed to, and which I paid for. Instead of owning up to their mistake, Kris was instigating an argument and claiming that I was at fault. This experience just left a really bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure how good the product is, but the customer experience was terrible. I had every right to not take the wrong cake they made, but instead, I worked with them and paid the additional money they asked for. Instead of just moving on, Kris went out of her way to blame me. All she had to do was issue the refund and keep her mouth shut. I'll never go to this bakery and I will not recommend it to others. I never argued with Kris or the staff, I paid what they asked for. I wouldn't have posted this review if they didn't get petty. But, for a business to go out of their way to argue with a customer when the business was at fault is just appalling to me. read more

I never had a good cronut until I came here! While a bit pricey, the quality is great and fresh, so I don't actually mind. Plus 1 is honestly enough since these cronuts are pretty heavy. I've had their apple pie (cobbler?) and their hamentashen which were great as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful, which is always a plus.
