Went to Awe & Wonder for some coffee after a dentist appointment. It's in what used to be the Tenafly Coffee Company. The space has seating with low tables, and one large table more suitable for working. I got to try their Einspanner coffee as well as their cold brew. The foam on the Einspanner coffee was a very thick and lightly sweet whipped cream. It was very tasty. The cold brew wasn't anything special. I would be interested in returning to try their jeju orange coffee.
My wife, daughter, and I were just shopping at the nearby car dealership and had time to check out Awe and Wonder. Glad we did! Super cute shop. Comfortable and bright. Staff was friendly and professional. My wife loved the Vietnamese iced coffee, fantastic hint of smokiness. My daughter said the einspanner had the best cold foam she's ever had. I loved the pour over made with Ethiopian coffee beans, nice and complex! Will have to come back!
I've been to tons of cafes in my lifetime, but this happens to be one of my favorites. In fact, it might be my number one favorite, if we're going off of drinks alone. It's my go to for my caffeine cravings. The quality of their drinks is unmatched. They have the best Einspanner coffee (strongly brewed espresso topped with cool whipped cream) in the game! They use high-grade matcha. They're also one of the very few cafes that serve Vietnamese iced coffee. I know I can always rely on them to fix me a good drink to boost my mood. And that's exactly why I don't mind paying ~$8! Honestly, I would spend a lot more time here if they improved on their seating. Like I mentioned in my previous reviews, they only have one large group table. The rest of the seats are wall seating or way too short.
That was one delicious Matcha Einspanner! Missing this place already as I write this review. It was my first time trying that drink and I really enjoyed it. The sweet cream was perfect and balanced well with the whole drink. Even the coco powder was good lol Their Peace coffee was lovely too! The added "actual" smoked rosemary was a very nice touch and made the drink aesthetically pleasing - loved the smokiness it brought. My first rosemary latte was when we visited Portland and so Im happy to enjoy another drink here. The indoor decor was nice and clean and had that minimalist vibe which worked. It's good to know the cafe can cater both small and larger groups as they have a bigger table available. There is both street parking and a lot at the back as well which was convenient. The pastries that we had were also very good. Hopefully I could try the rest but so far we enjoyed our canele and madeleine. Nice and polite interaction with staff too (whom I guess was the owner?). Cant wait to go back!
I pulled up to this spot after finding it on here. At the time I went there was plenty of street parking. It's a very nice small coffee shop. You can definitely go for a quick chat or if you are able to get a table even get some work done. The person who took my order didn't appear the friendliest so I took a star off for that since I'm big on customer service especially in today's economy since every dollar counts. I got the Matcha Einspanner and it was absolutely delightful. The sweet cream with the cacao powder on top was the highlight for me! Honestly the price was worth the product in my opinion. I would love to return to try the Joy.

Seems like a good place to get some work done or to catch up with friends. Definitely plan on coming back here and trying some of their other drink options!!
I used to love coming to this place as Tenafly Coffee. I've since moved away and was ecstatic to see its evolution on a trip back home. Awe & Wonder is a cute, cozy, aesthetic coffee house with generous menu items. I went with the employee's recommendation of the Matcha Einspanner. This drink felt so high quality - like I was transformed to another country, given the level of quality and care other cafes lack (in my opinion) to put into their menus and offerings. I stayed here basically a whole day while working remote - it was a pleasant experience. Awe & Wonder is a small town gem and I wish them amazing business. I can't wait to come back home and stop in again!
This is such a small and cute coffee spot. Love the white and beige simple look they were going for inside. Seating there's one long table and a few 2 person seating. Service was quick and my cousin and I both loved our drinks. I got the einspanner which was delicious with the cold foam and my cousin got a specialty drink. I always love a drink based on how well the espresso kept me awake and after long morning, that early afternoon pick me up get me going the rest of the day!
Einspanners are delicious. Cream is perfectly sweet to balance the bitterness in the matcha and espresso. I love the cozy aesthetic and cute trinkets they have inside. I wish the had more chairs with a back rest and higher tables to provide a more comfortable experience though. Their biscottis (not sure if made in house) were a bit too soft. Not the texture of a normal biscotti and flavor was just ok. I would def recommend if youre looking for a delicious pick me up!
What a beautifully pleasing interior! Every corner is eye catching. I've only stopped by to grab my morning drinks to go, but this is a space worth staying! Service is quick and great! They also sell the best candles here! It's a shame they close so early. Jeju Orange Coffee 5/5 Matcha Eispanner 4/5 Limited street parking.

I don't say this lightly, but Awe & Wonder may have ruined coffee for me. This was hands down the best cup I've ever had. It tasted like real coffee first, then somehow ended with a little dessert surprise. My taste buds were out here standing up and clapping. Biscoff coffee 10/10 The service was amazing, and the vibe matched the coffee. I loved the giant mirror and the whole aesthetic. It's the kind of place where you accidentally stay an extra hour just because it feels so good to be there. Safe to say I'll be back. My wallet might be concerned, but my caffeine addiction has officially picked a favorite. read more

Such a cute coffee shop with a really nice atmosphere. I got the Matcha Einspanner latte after one of the workers recommended it to me, and it was so good -- creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. The worker who helped me was also super nice and made the experience even better. They also have plenty of seating if you want to sit down and get some work done, which I loved. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more

I had the hojicha einspanner and it was so delicious! The thick cream layer was perfectly seeet and complimented the strong roasted trees flavor of the hojicha. I really enjoyed my drink. read more

Cute little place. My SO said this is very Korean. The matcha drink was a cold drink and it was not sweet despite having some type of cream and powdered chocolate on top. The Rosemary latte or "Peace" was indeed sweet but I sorta knew and just wanted to try. Cute place of you live around and want to hangout for a bit. read more

Literally my favorite cafe! Drinks are fantastic (get ready to pay for it, but I think it's totally worth it; seems like portions of the proceeds go to good causes!) Service is great - very helpful team! Everything feels clean and bright. It's fresh and new and trendy but classic all at the same time! Would love more seating because I just want to sit there and read and drink coffee all day! read more

The coffee drinks are excellent and the barista was efficient. The menu has an interesting take. The only downside was comfortably enjoying the drink. The communal table can be easily full, so my party and I sat on the stone bench. It was ok, but cushions could make it home. read more
Hidden gem in Tenafly. Free wifi and different type of drinks - all delicious. I came here searching for a new coffee shop as Ive been to all the ones in Fort lee, cliffside park, leonia area. There are tables for sitting and chatting and also for laptops. I came in the middle of the weekday and there are a few people here working on laptops. read more

The barista looked like she hated her life but besides that, the aesthetic was on point. Very minimalist and clean. We got two specialty lattes--the rosemary and the matcha eispanner. Both were a bit sweet but I preferred the matcha, as the sweetness was toned down by the colds read more
This place is so beautiful inside!! One of the best interior designs I have ever seen in a cafe. A plus was the Christian decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The drink that I tried was the choco matcha forest and oh my.... Ive never had something so rich in chocolate with a hint of matcha. This cafe feels like it came straight out of korea! The interior is intimate and beautiful. It's easy to take aesthetic photos here. The cashers are super nice and friendly! The drinks were all so delicious. I especially love the matcha drinks as they use the highest grade matcha. I tried their croissant and cheddar scallion scone and highly recommend their pastries. I definitely want to come back again! read more

The drinks here are amazing. I got the einspanner with oat milk which has cold sweet cream and cacao powder. So light, fluffy, and creamy. My bf got the jeju orange coffee and it was something so unique I've never had before! Citrusy, sweet, and refreshing. Love the minimalist vibe and ambiance too. The joy latte is one of the best lattes I've ever had! The cookie crumble crust at the bottom is the highlight- each sip is accompanied by a pleasant crunch! It's just the amount of sweet. We also got a pastry which was warmed up for us and very tasty as well! The baristas are friendly and nice, and the cafe interior is very nicely decorated. Perfect place to come with one (or few) people to hang out. read more

What a perfectly fitting name for this new cafe in Tenafly! The aesthetics of this cafe are to die for. They remind me of the beautiful cafes found in Korea. Light, airy, modern, and welcoming. But let's talk about these drinks though. Jeju Orange Coffee?? Delicious & citrusy with a light sweetness. The iced matcha is one of the BEST I've had. The einspanner is perfect for those who don't like drinks that are too sweet. It's creamy with just a hint of sweetness. The specialty drinks are fantastic but hallelujah their COFFEE is even more so! They use beans roasted by the previous owner (Amalthea) and the espresso is always dialed in to perfection. This cafe is a MUST try for coffee lovers and cafe lovers alike! read more

There are quite a few coffee shops in Tenafly, and this one is definitely my favorite! They have unique drinks and delicious pastries. I love matcha and they have a really good one. I also really love the vibe in there. They did a wonderful job with the interior design. It's so sleek and clean feeling. If you're into taking photos or videos of your drinks, you'll have a great backdrop. The only thing I don't love is that they're closed on Sundays. read more
It's amazing to find out we have new cafe opened in the area. They have top notch coffee selection and my favorite was their drip coffee. They have good options for pastries as well. Most of all, they have welcoming and warm atmosphere. Highly recommend this place. read more
