On our Easter week visit to Modena and the Emilia Romagna region, we searched for a special restaurant for Easter lunch and found La Quercia di Rosa. Our family of 6 relished this magical Easter lunch in a traditional countryside setting with local families and flocks of geese outside the windows. We were served 8 courses. From regional charcuterie and appetizers, Asparagus Bassanese to traditional Lasagne Verdi with Bolognese and Balsamella Sauce. Tortellini in brodo from the Emilia Romagna region. Pastas all fresh made. The meat courses were a deicious Veal Scaloppini in a cream sauce and Lamb rib fritte with roasted rosemary potatoes. The dessert to celebrate the day was a beautiful Strawberry Cream Pastry and the climax was a giant Chocolate Surprise Easter egg that the whole restaurant took part in opening and sharing.
