-I reserved a room about 4 hours before getting there and when I got there was no reservation. - the pull out couch was covered in stains and the sheets they gave for the couch also had stains and rips. - got sheets for my kid to sleep on on the side of the couch, stained in four places and ripped. -the elevator has rust and paint chipping off inside it - the mini fridge had what looked like mold and spilled food in it. - had to move a night stand cause I dropped my phone and grabbed the underside of the top to move it, my hand came out covered in something oily and sticky. - it was way too over priced for what we got. Huge thanks to the staff here for saving our trip! We had to flee a previous hotel due to terrible conditions, and this La Quinta was exactly what we needed. Clean rooms, good breakfast, and a great pool (besides some bird poop on the deck). Kasey at the front desk is a rockstar--she made the place feel so welcoming during our 4 nights there. My only real complaint was the bar never being open; it would have been nice to grab a drink in the evenings. Definitely recommend for the service alone! read more

Great experience at La Quinta. We booked online & followed up phone call to make sure all rooms were on same floor. We came for a graduation at Gordon College. 4 rooms, 8 adults, 2 kids. Really clean hotel. Extremely comfortable beds/pillows. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Wonderful breakfast. Big variety. Fresh fruit, hot & cold cereal, eggs, waffle maker, yogurt. Juices, pastries, bagels, biscuits/gravy. Perfect way to start a day r looting the area. Bar had daily specials. Lots of tables, chairs, couches & a fireplace. Bought takeout/delivery & ate in bar area. Wonderful area for energetic card games. Kids loved ending the day at the pool. Feels & looks like a recent update/remodel. This was a quick stop on our vacation but it turned out to be really nice. We stayed in a suite with a king sized for us and queens for the kids. Was here for 12 hours. Went to fill my coffee at 5:30 am and there were two cockroaches in my cup. It was sitting on the desk in our room. Got no sleep it was noisy all night loud banging and stomping. Called at least 4 times from 1130 Pm to 5 Am. Being this is a inexpensive place to stay with a bar that sell bottle beer by the bucket and has a pool it's a party place. We had driven all and need to sleep to drive the next day. The desk knew we were very disappointed they had credited us 45 dollars. I would have been much happier with sleep. Undeniably the worst stay at a hotel in recent memory. Could not pull in under the arrival canopy due to two service or maintenance trucks parked there. No idea why....but, in defense of the hotel, perhaps they were checking in also. After checking in, accompanied by an un-amusing, "sign here...and here - just in case you wreck the room," comment from the front desk our (quiet) family walked to the elevator. The elevator doors opened and 3 other people stepped in ahead of us. Just as I started to step in, carrying my 4-year old grandson, the elevator doors closed unexpectedly, slamming against my back and hitting my grandson on the side-back of his head. I went to the front desk for ice and to inform them...and the woman on duty acted as if nothing could or would be done. No apology, no, "Are you - or - is he okay?" She just kept checking in additional guests with no offer of assistance. (I believe the old adage is, "ignorance is bliss.") Loud music at 1:00 am just about sealed the deal for us. We tried calling the front desk several times...but no one answered. So we had an rather unsettled several hours of interrupted sleep. At check out the following morning, I again mentioned the faulty doors (having just seen it happen to another guest)...and all the receptionist had to say was "Really?" After she repeated this phrase 3 times in a row....I said,' Yes! Really! That's why I'm telling you." I also suggested that safety, anti-slip strips be installed on the tub floors since another member of our party of 5 slipped while showering....not once, but twice. Again...the response from the front desk was,..."Um." Lousy service and safety issues that are serious enough to warrant action will insure we will never return to this hotel ... and possibly not to any other LaQuinta. read more

Is a Hot shower too much to ask for???. And customer service, this isn't a "BY CHANCE" experience. We stayed here a year ago for 30 days with our 2 girls and 2 dogs. 2 separate rooms. We stayed last week because we closed on our house. 3 warm showers in 5 days between us all, all others were like ice, management said it's because everyone checked out at the same time, not at 2 pm. We went to Tampa Florida for a week. Returned today 11/28 to be greeted by an upset cleaning crew. One standing outside smoking with a rock in the door to hold it open. As we did to load a weeks worth of stuff for a weeks stay, with 2 dogs. My 13 yr old, 18 yr old and wife. One cleaning lady looked at us while 1/2 way done unloading 2 vehicles, snatched the rock and threw it and slammed the door behind her while walking away: I was not happy to say the least after, and did not hold that back after driving from Tampa to this hotel again to be treated this way. Hoping maybe at the Least the hot water was fixed, Nope.. This is 1700.00 for a week not 500.00 I apologized for my tone 3 times to her and management. Not again. They have said they will tell the new owner for a week, he's not much of an owner, if that's the true problem. As we checked out today at 10am 12/5 Still ICE cold shower. Told Patricia (assistant Manager) she said she told the NEW GM this and they would get back with me, for now it full price. Was greeted immediately upon entering. Came in at 9:00 pm after 8 hours of driving and was thrilled they still had rooms available during this COVID epidemic. I was able to receive AAA discounted room rate $90 a night with tax. I had a KING size bed HUGE for one person .....Loved it. Small refrigerator with a NON K-CUP coffee maker. I love tea so I was unable to make it. They serve breakfast non contact (due to COVID staff puts food on your plate) for you until 9 am. I didn't really hear the highway traffic but u r near a major highway. A few fast food restaurants within 1 mile like McDonalds and Hardee's. A few minor room defects is why I gave 4 stars paint chipping. Missing piece of base board. Overall great experience, lovely staff and nice hotel. read more

It always cracks me up when I read reviews on places like this. We travel a lot and stay only in LaQuinta Motels, Gold member. I picked this one because it was new and it was close to where we wanted to visit. Looks great! Love the fresh and modern look. As you walk down the halls you can smell that new carpet. The bed is nice and PILLOWS, just fine. New pillows will be firm. People need to bring ones from home if they want a special pillow. We were welcomed with smiles and my husband found coffee and cookies. Love the location, we walked to Walmart and saw many places to eat. Everything looks great and this is why we are Gold members. I have to add that they have Hallmark chanel, most Laquinta's do not have it and they have Christmas movies right now. Come check them out, we are here for 4 days. I was dealing with a court case and my anxiety was on a level incomprehensible. By far the best Hotel I have stayed at, rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was amazing. But truly the best part was the STAFF. Amazing customer service. The general Manager MiMi Jackson helped me find my way back home knowing I was from out of town, by myself and quite scared. Check in was fine but when we went to our room we found an un made bed!Back down to the front desk where the young lady was very apologetic and gave us another room. The door on this new room was propped open by the dead bolt lock. At first we weren't sure what to think but went in and it looked ok. Took us about 30 minutes to discover that the room had no towels. Zip o towels. Back down to the front desk. Breakfast is blah. Would be so hard to have some fresh fruit for people that don't want a carb fest? Have a donut with your waffle? No thanks. To reiterate, the front desk staff is good. House keeping needs improvement. Crumbs on the floor make me wonder when it was last vacuumed. Another thing to remember is that if you call in your reservation make sure your talking to the actual hotel, not a third party. It cost me another 50 bucks in service fees for the privilege of one these scam places to make a reservation. Either my neighbor has the TV at full volume or the walls are paper thin. I hear their tv as if it was in my room. HORRIBLE. The room was spacious. The mattress is FIRM! Hurricane Irma Evacuees My family lives in a mandatory evacuation zone in Florida. So, we had to leave our home during Hurricane Irma. We drove and drove with our 3 young kids until we finally found an available hotel room. We were so grateful to find this one. The staff was amazing and so accommodating. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable We had an excellent experience during a stressful time of our life. The local residents even brought food & water, and left it in the lobby for everyone. For a pet friendly hotel, I was very impressed with the cleaniless of the rooms and the entire building. New hotel just off I-75 in sleepy Forsyth, GA. Beware, the listed hotel address didn't show on my Garmin GPS. Actual review was 3.5 stars. Round up 0.5 due to pet friendliness. PROS: Newer hotel, nice decor, clean as a whistle. Clean outdoor pool. Comfy beds and pillows. Nice linens. Good Wi-Fi signal. Very helpful and concerned staff. Huge dining/lobby area. Dogs stay free! CONS: High taxes on the room. Quirky roads to enter and exit hotel. Watch out for the no left hand turn sign when getting back on I-75. Room not ready at check-in. We arrived well within the expected check-in hours. Beware of a trip and fall risk in the high traffic elevator area. There was a strange elevated hump on each side of the tiled floor near the elevator entry. Perhaps, shoddy construction? Uninspired cheap-carb breakfast with the usual B-list sausage and powdered eggs and quite possibly the worst breakfast potatoes ever served. Shriveled hard lumps of lukewarm potato cubes. Marginal food at best. Very weak food choices in town. Grits Cafe was a decent choice but the hours were strange. It was closed at 4 PM??? During our stay the small downtown area had some minor construction causing local businesses to close earlier than usual. BOTTOM LINE: Fair stay. The deciding factor for us was free lodging for dogs. Otherwise, if we were traveling without a pet, this would not be a first choice. read more

Stayed here for the second time, in town for business. The hotel is right off I-75 in Forsyth, GA. Not sure if this is a new hotel or just renovated but it's very clean, and beautiful decor.
