Stood in the lobby for 15 minutes yelling "HELLO" and no one was there to check us in. The night guy came in for his shift and walked past us and ignored us another 5 minutes until I finally asked "can you help me check in" and he responded "I'm not on the clock!" Rest of the staff wasn't much friendlier. 3rd floor hallway carpet is filthy and stained. The hallway stinks of smoke (even though I was given a no smoking speech). Had a huge grasshopper on the hallway wall. Our room had the oldest A/C I've ever seen or heard because it was like sleeping with a revving Harley in our room. The bed was like sleeping in a gulch. Huge dent in the middle. The chair in the room was stained so many times it almost looked like the pattern. When leaving the next morning, the entire staff was smoking directly out the front door and it all wafts into the lobby. Not really super inviting. Will never stay in a La Quinta again. read more

This hotel had great pictures. Upon walking in you'll notice the mold smell. Then you'll notice the filthy stained carpets. If your still brave enough you'll try to enter your room which even reeks more than the hallway due to the industrial streangth fabreeze they spray on everything. Then you'll start to realize all the furniture is either broken or filthy. Oh, try turning on any ac and you'll hear a freight train. After three room changes I checked out. My first time leaving a paid reservation. The one star is for the very helpful and empathetic staff who tried to make it better. read more

Have stayed here before, maybe a couple of years ago. They have updated the rooms since. Nice large room with king bed, they've taken the closets out and are using a wall unit for a closet. Large vanity area still one sink and bathroom still tub/shower and small, very small. Room was clean, bed and sheets were clean, ice box working and clean. Everything looked really good. You can tell it's an older hotel, but as long as it's clean and everything works, who cares. This would have been a 4 star review except for the front desk staff. Breakfast is from 6-10 am. We arrived at 9:47 and she was putting all the bread up, had already put the juices up and there was very little milk left. 1 sausage, no fresh anything. Only two butters for waffles and no cups for syrup. She saw us when we came into the lobby. Actually said good morning, but didn't stop or even ask if we were having breakfast. We stayed here Friday-Saturday, July 19-20, 2019. Came into town for the Tour de Paris charity ride. We were greeted very nicely by the front desk and check in went well and quickly. However, there were a few problems with our stay. To start, there were some renovations going on at the property during our stay which meant that the ice machines on every floor (except on the first floor) were disconnected and out of order; the refrigerator in the room worked (barely) and did manage to keep our bottled water cool (but not COLD). The AC in the room blew cool air but wasn't really cooling down the room very well. There was also no Kleenex in the bathroom. To top it off, when we came back on Saturday evening after a long day's ride and dining in town, there were two construction workers standing in the hallway on the egress to our room (somewhat blocking our way with all their tools), drinking (beer) and snickering (I heard only part of what was said and will not repeat it here) at me and my wife as we exited the nearby elevator and strolled by on our way to our room. I will say that I these workers were likely not affiliated with this motel other than as contract laborers, but I cannot verify that. I can forgive minor inconveniences such as no ice and no Kleenex, but to have people standing in the hallway as we are going to our room uttering 5th grade bully comments is completely unacceptable. Next year, we will either stay at a few streets to the east at Hampton Inn or a few hundred yards to the west at Holiday Inn Express. read more

I recently traveled on business to Paris, Texas. Thought a good chain hotel would be a fine clean place to stay. Boy was I wrong. This place was FOUL!!!! The sheets were stained, there was hair in the bathroom, and the hall carpets were disgustingly dirty. Also the staff was so unprofessional. The front desk person was smoking right at the front door and when I went to check out she just threw her cig down and came to check me out, but she SMELLED like an ashtray. I could smell her from across the counter. When I complained, that is when my experienced turned into a real nightmare. They debited my account twice rather than once and it has taken more than two months to get this straighten out. Since that time they have done through two general managers and the owners in Dallas thought that an appropriate customer service gesture would be to give me a free night, ARE THEY KIDDING? I would NEVER stay there again. read more

I'm on a budget hotel streak lately! Yay! So, my family and I went to Paris to celebrate my aunt's 87th birthday and wanted to stay over to attend church with her the next morning. After a lot of searching, we finally found room at the La Quinta. I was pleasantly surprised with not only the customer service, but also how quiet the rooms were. Our beds were super comfortable and the room and bathroom were spacious. And living up to the power of small-town charm, my niece was even invited to the annual Halloween party held by one of the guest in the ballroom. The only strikes I found is something I find at all places that serve continental breakfast- no low carb options. Also, I was not too happy about the treadmill being out of commission. Other than that, I think they did a wonderful job and I would have no reservations staying here again. read more

Staff is really nice but it smells really moldy throughout the hotel when you walk in all the rooms. Carpets are grossly stained.

I recently spent a night here along with my elderly grandmother and my mom. My grandma is disabled and can't walk without a walker. We had our 3 small dogs in tow as well. The staff at this hotel was very nice and welcoming to all of us. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good! Best thing about this hotel is the "Deuce" bar right next door. Nice clean hotel though.

Outside and Reception look nice and rooms are clean, but this motel does not pay attention to details, like pillow covers on extra pillows, having hot water for a shower, making sure the advertisement for hot tub means it works, having working ice machines, touch up paint (that is everywhere) actually the same color as the walls and on the walls and jot the door knobs or jams, ... and more. The front desk people were very helpful. Management is the issue. read more

Had a very nice experience at this hotel. Visited Paris to attend a family funeral. My entire family came so we had 6 rooms. Everyone's experience was positive! Robin was at the front desk to check us in...very professional and friendly. The rooms were clean. Fresh linens. Even my boyfriend made a comment that the hallways smelled fresh. The chain is pet-friendly and taking my dog out to do her business, I didn't see droppings throughout the property. I would definitely recommend this place to stay! read more

Hotel stay was clean and enjoyable. Stayed for about 4 days. Good timing on housecleaning and if we needed anything we had fast service.

I stay in Paris for business. My company makes my hotel reservation., so my control of reservation is limited. This location is just ok. I like taking the stairs, but very creepy here. Back door off parking seems sketchy too. I do not really feel 100% safe. The place is old and does not have a clean feel. One positive - staff that I have interacted with are attentive and friendly. Will request no more stays here. Pool is right below my window - so thankful it is only 38 degrees out!!! read more

My boyfriend and I that are in a long distant relationship have stayed at this hotel several times. The only complete I've ever had is one time the room we got didn't have the nice AC with the specific settings we liked and the elevator made some funny noises once but the next day they had someone there that fixed it. I've never felt unsafe here and they're always really helpful. read more

Very noisy hotel, room and stairwell doors slamming and highway traffic all night for a week. The room doors will loudly slam when shut if you let them and everyone does. Stayed Sun thru Fri and the last night was the worst. Elevator repairman was slamming the stairwell door from 9 till we called at 11 pm. We were in room 402 at the end of the hall by the stairs and highway. Unbelievably loud even with earplugs. Outside emergency doors were propped open the entire week, that's not very safe. Stay at Holiday Inn or Comfort they're right there. We travel on business and are in a hotel every week, loudest one to date and we won't stay here again. read more
