I came in town from Dallas, TX and this shop was highly recommended by my brother and sis-in-law. Miguel, the owner is top notch and his art is amazing!! My brother and I got matching tattoos that we've been wanting, and he also gave my nephew his first tattoo. When I tell ya'll Miguel helped put him at ease and was very nice and handled my nephews anxiety like a true professional. The entire session was so smooth, the atmosphere was really chill and relaxing. Throughout our sessions he never lost focus and remained a true artist. I enjoyed it so much that I had another tattoo done the next day by Isaac (the other artist in the shop) and let's say they are both great at their art!! I have spent a lot of quality time here, watching others get tattoos that I have drawn. Lao does a…read moregreat job reproducing what is in front of him, as well as taking off on his own when encouraged, especially with the shading. He did my husband's calf tattoo in a giant oak tree, which was done on whim one evening. I drew the outline and Lao did the rest, filling in the trunk and branches with beautiful, detailed shading. It couldn't have turned out better. It healed perfectly and did not need to be touched up. He has a lot of attention to detail and you may find him jumping around a lot, as he is constantly scanning the tattoo to make sure that everything is filled in and even. When he sees an inconsistency, he fixes it right then. Lao is also very intelligent and great conversation, which helps distract from the task at hand and makes the time go by faster. I added 3 photos of tattoos that Lao has done on my husband and two friends, so you can see for yourself the quality of work done by him. There is another artist in the shop by the name of Anthony. I have see then work he is doing while I have been watching friends, and he seems to do an excellent job as well. I watched him freehand flowers directly onto a lady's shoulder and they came out beautiful. The shop is clean and professional, with nice equipment, good ink and new needles. They have tons of books of their work, if you want to see what they can do. They seem to be more by appointment, but I'm sure you could drop in if you see someone there and grab a card and talk to one or the other about getting work done. Lao prices by the piece, not by the hour (unless you would be getting extensive work, I presume) and is more than fair on the price, considering the quality of the finished product.

I choose her to do my tattoo since she specializes in fine line tattoos which is what I was looking for crisp fine lines not messy toddler drawings. In the inspiration photo you can clearly see that the snakes scales were individually drawn. SHE LITERALLY JUST DREW LINES???!? keep in mind we did two sessions for this tattoo so of course I didn't say anything the first time bc I didn't think she was finished and on my part I didn't pay too much attention to it then. It's just upsetting because I specifically went to her because I trusted she could get all the fine line details done but no instead I got a rushed and messy BACK PIECE. Also she never took a picture so that felt like she already knew it looked bad. So sad bc I wanted to get my sleeve done here too since the other artists are really talented . No shade ‍ Came back to edit this because I also just realized that some of the art is missing. The lines on the leaves right below the flowers are missing!!!! This is actually crazy HORRIBLE work. Also looking at macys instagram she should still be an apprentice but to each their own. I hope the owners just look deeper into the artist they hire for next time.
