The patio is small but so tastefully decorated. Cocktails: order the signature "Corazón de San Pedro" with natural guava and mezcal, yet some more traditional cocktails are good too. Food: keep in mind this is NOT a steakhouse, so if you fancy a ribeye go somewhere else, but you will be missing a nice steak tartare, or a tuna tartare, or a filet mignon. The fondues and crepes are also nice. Service is attentive and prices are very reasonable. It has a playground area for the kiddos and it has sax background music making the experience romantic as well. This is the place for a nice Sunday brunch. It has a fruit salad bar and omelet station. For main course it has like 5 different dishes. It would be nice if they offer mimosas. We knew immediately we weren't the only ones with that idea. The place was busy, with a line of people putting their names down for a table. It definitely has that destination-restaurant energy. Once we were seated, we ordered several things to share. We tried a mix of fried bites, including croquetas, shrimp, and stuffed squash blossoms. The croquetas were crisp and rich, and the squash blossoms were one of the more interesting things on the table. We also ordered pizza. The crust had a nice char and chew, and the toppings were generous. I enjoyed it, although a couple of my coworkers were a little less enthusiastic. For me, the smaller plates stood out more. The room was lively, and the mix of vintage plates, copper-toned tables, and simple details gave the space a lot of personality. I also liked how naturally the menu lent itself to passing plates around and trying a little of everything. I'm glad we checked it out, especially because Lardo comes up often when people talk about eating in Mexico City. I'd happily come back and explore more of the smaller plates.
