The young lady working here was very friendly and welcoming, she even assisted with helping locate what I was looking for. They have a good variety of instruments and accessories of most well known brands. -Instruments available: Guitars, Basses, Clarinets, Obos flutes, recorders, electric keyboards, French horns, trumpets, bongos and more. Accessories: Plenty of replacement string varieties, picks, capos, instrument and sheet music stands, reeds, tuners, effects pedals, instrument and speaker cables and so much more. They also have a great selection of music books here for all the instruments I just mentioned. The book selection is heavy in progressive learning (which is a plus for the learning musician) some notable publishers are Alfred Schirmer, and Faber. I found a great selection of advanced books like Chopin's Ballads, Bachs Well Tempered Claviar, and Beethoven's Sonata's. In my opinion there are not enough Rock, Classic Rock, or Metal Books- I only found one Journey book for Piano/Guitar and the 50 best rock songs book which didn't have the 50 best as far as I'm concerned. Some Jazz and Blues and a lot of Modern Pop like Taylor Swift and such. The store was very clean and organized The only area that could use a little more organization is the book shelves. Regardless, I ended up finding one in the mix. I picked out an into to Debussys piano music ($12+) which also comes with a real CD inside. For whatever reason, you can't find these books online with the CD included anymore, just a link to a site with MP3 files. I prefer having the CD so, I really appreciate that this store carries these books, I will be back for more. Their staff perform instrument repair services, and provide music lessons as well. The store is currently offering a discount where if you buy four guitar lessons you get a free guitar with the course (learner acoustic); I'm not sure of the price, but if it's in $150-$200 range that's not bad. It's hard to find a half decent guitar for that nowadays. All-in-all, great music shop right here in Sanford, I love supporting local, so we will be back.

Alive after five…read more On the second Tuesday of every month the town of Sanford holds a block party in the center of town. They vary in size and theme but one of the very best is something called Party Gras. Of course it's an obvious copy of the original Marti Gras down in New Orleans and even though it is much smaller in size and debauchery it still is fun and entertaining. They block off the street and musicians, artists and food vendors fill the area. You pay seven bucks for a wrist band and that entitles you to all the free samples of food and drink that you want. A cool idea because it allows you to try all kinds of different things, some of it you might not have bothered with if you had to buy a whole meal. You can go back as many times as you want as long as you are willing to stand in a small line again. The event also had three bands playing, mercifully separated by enough distance so they didn't interfere with each other. Some cool music and talented musicians. They also had a nice old car display, some creative art, and random trombone, trumpet and strangely dressed folks milling around. Of course a nice assortment of friendly and stinky dogs added to the ambiance. Certainly nothing like the original Mardi gras but then that is probably a good thing for Sanford. This is a cool event that allows people to have fun, hear music, see interesting people and eat lots of food without ending up in jail.

I think I was there till a little after 8 and at no point did I feel rushed. When I arrived she had a select few violins ready for me to try for my level. In our initial phone call I hadn't given too much information about my skill but her selections for me were 100% what I needed. From reviews at other shops I thought I was going to be pressured into buying something expensive that I didn't need. That was absolutely not the case here. The selections she showed me were all in my price range and she answered any questions I had to make sure I chose the perfect instrument. I'll definitely be coming back.

Especially the orchestra, the nuns and the father! We are so very happy to see the Athens bringing back a lot of the golden era musicals like they used to have in 2017 and 18. The children, and all of the performers as a whole were amazing! I enjoyed it so much that I am bringing my mom today! I really hope that the theatre will be bringing back musicals like "hello Dolly", "The King and I", "Guys and Dolls", "Oklahoma", "Brigadoon", "The Music Man", "Gypsy", "My Fair Lady", and "Fiddler On The Roof" to name a few. We love seeing those musicals and bringing the younger generation to see it live. My niece enjoyed it the last time I brought her and it's different than seeing it on a DVD. The theatre is wonderful since the seats are comfortable and you can see from any seat in the house. Come back to the theatre!
